insufficient posting privileges?

maybe it's just because i'm brand new, but it seems as though i cannot reply to any threads - which is a bit of a crutch considering i need to make three posts to be confirmed! can someone please explain why this is? ( i'm sorry if this is a glaringly obvious answer )

Is it just in certain forums? If I recall correctly you should only have "insufficient permissions" in the Request Thread forums, where you shouldn't be replying to threads anyway. It does look like you have your needed three post- it's just a 24 hour wait after that.
