Finally their arrival to Earth had came, the demonic family had so far already sacrificed much to depart from Hell. In Hell, they once held a powerful reign, though Hell was a chaotic place, demons would always squabble among one another and it was quite common for kings to fall and rise. The Underworld was a dog eat dog world, those that fall are often given few choices; either serve or be enslaved. While dying was much as a thing as well, there were only very few ways to achieve true death within Hell; therefore enslavement was a far worse punishment if one didn't bend the knee. For Zomos and his family, he decided the next best thing once they were toppled over and that was to escape. Although it was nearly impossible for higher rank demons to leave hell given the barrier, there were ways to restrict oneself, dangerous as it was. Still, it was a better price than being another's slave and thus Zomos took his family along with a trusted retainer out of that damnable world and into another known as Earth.
Earth had already suffered from the coming of the Apocalypse. A wide event of biblical nature, but it wasn't the forces of good that won, but those of evil. Earth was now a foothold of various demonic and mythological fiends. It served another purpose to hell to help purge most of the riffraff onto Earth; though even riffraff were greater threats to humanity and to topple that with millions of these monstrosties flooding in, the end result was apparent. Even the angels fail to save humanity and worse of all, their forces were limited as well as there were greater fears that too much power on one side may topple the balance. If God released his strongest of forces, no doubt that may result in the barrier fully being broken and all manners of wicked, higher class demons coming to this world and then what may be next? Though this was also a given rumor that had circulated in the Underworld after the claiming of Earth.
The scenery that met Zomos and his family's eyes was foreign, a completely different world after the portal closed behind them. The group had already lost everything; their reign, their followers, their power, even their clothes with the crossing was all gone. There they stood in the nude in a unfamiliar world, something they only heard stories of, but this was a first they actually lived it and seen it up close. Devastation obvious, brought upon both nature, war, and entities alike. Without civilization, there was no maintaining the city that the small group ended up in. It was overgrown with foliage, buildings still stood tall, but were just as much overgrown with moss and other vegetation. The brightness of light was different as well that shined down upon their bare forms and also illuminated the coursing water that flooded the street in a river. There were other weird objects as well, metal things that were rusted and hung over(lightposts) and signs with odd symbols on them. This was completely a different world.
"We should be on the move, though the portal is closed, there is no telling if others gave chase." Zomos said finally, snapping back to reality of where they were. It was a simple principal of escape and survival. They had already broken taboos just to enter this world and death would send them back to Hell where a worse fate may wait. Still, he had no desire to be anyone's slave and he would be damned if he ended up back there. The only pressing matter was to continue forwards into the unknown as the tall behemoth begun to move, leading his family on ahead. To either side of the group were the lingering structures of buildings, some of which weren't so lucky to be fully standing in one piece. Zomos paid no heed to them as the first matter of business was to gain distance from this spot and from there they could plan ahead accordingly.
As for the sons Astraroth and Zoro? The two lingered mostly in the back. Astraroth was much of a trained fighter and warrior, though Zoro preferred more tricks. Unfortunately most of their powers were restricted now and it would take some time they regained them. It was a disheartening matter with the feeling of weakness, it even made Zoro wonder could they fend off against other forces if they got discovered? Would he even be a match for the once known species of humans? Would they have to rely on the magical beast they brought along, the 'pet,' Ro-Over or even their assistant to properly guard them? It was infuriating to feel so weak and he did not have even half the strength his brute of a older brother carried about him. A sigh escaped his lips as his blue eyes glanced about to pay heed to their surroundings, with every step he felt there was a chance they may encounter someone and end back in Hell to face consquences.
"Was it really alright for us to leave?" His question was directed to no one in particular, Zoro just had trouble at this point weighing everything. While it surely was exciting to escape and enter Earth, a strange world for all of them, one still had to dread that chance things may not go their way. He was a bit of a realist, but he too didn't want to end up some slave after other demons conquered them within Hell. The life of a slave was far grimmer in the Underworld and he was just as sure none of the other family wanted that. At least here, they had a chance of freedom and an opportunity at a new life. The only thing that worried him was if they would be given the chance to retain their power for such to be made plausible in this unknown place.
