For a newcomer, what "exactly" can I expect from this?

A lot of friendly people and all kind of roleplays. Often with a sexual approach but not exclusively. There are a lot of great ideas for a roleplay in the different search threads.
In addition there are some roleplays written down in public. You can look at them if you want to get a first impression.
Otherwise there are a lot of discussions and of course the typical forum games.

I came for the roleplay, you meet new people everyday with different kinks, different styles of roleplaying, and similar interests. I definitely stayed for the company. I met some very amazing people here in BMR ever since I joined, some of which are still my friends. In fact this is the only rp forum that I'm ever active in. The people here are amazing, amazing enough for me to sign up to be part of the Welcoming Committee so others also feel the warm welcome and enjoy the roleplay and company.
