But work was work... and word certainly got around quickly when she was desperate for it.
From the far corner of the room emerged a man. Underneath the sparse neon lights, his hair appeared similar in color to our protagonist's. Short, violet hair, with a noble face, it was quite obvious that the woman was not the only person that did not belong. The man wore a pair of circle rimmed sunglasses, which obscured his gaze and only added to his enigmatic aura. If one thing was for certain, a man that wore sunglasses indoors was not the sort of person to be trusted.
"Two of whatever she's drinking, please." The man motioned towards the bartender, before settling down in the seat just adjacent to the woman. "A friend of mine told me that you're a private eye." He explained, shooting a glance towards the woman beside him. He leaned into the counter top, his elbow reaching out to brace his weight against it, "and you're good, from what I've been told." Of course she was, otherwise, the two of them wouldn't be having this conversation. "More importantly, I need someone who can do a job without asking questions." With that, he removed a small device from his pocket, placing it down on the counter in front of the woman.
"A girl has gone missing. Her father is very worried about her." The mysterious man tapped the device on the desk. It was a small chip, no larger than a quarter. Microchips like these were rather common nowadays, replacing books and many other electronic devices from a bygone era. All a person needed to do was insert them into their wrist and their mind could have instant access to data. "All of the information you'll need is on this chip. Insert it into your wrist and you'll know everything that you need to know." He paused, pressing down his sunglasses so that the woman could see a stoic pair of eyes poking out just above the rims, "If it's not on there, then we either don't know, or you're not supposed to ask. Understood?" He pushed the shady spectacles back up, before moving onto the part that most likely interested her the most...
"You'll be paid if you bring her back. One hundred grand... flat." It was a sizable number, enough to pay off nearly all of her bills. Obviously this woman came from a family of wealth. "Make sure to take a look at the girl's picture. We need her alive, of course. If you find her dead, my boss says the deal is off. Got it?" It was after this point that the bartender brought out the pair's drinks, placing them onto the metal surface in front of them. "Good." The man raised the glass to his lips, whipping the shot easily into his mouth before placing the empty glass onto the table. "We'll be in touch." With that, the man stood up, disappearing around the nearby corner.
Upon placing the chip into her wrist, our protagonist would be first greeted with the most recent picture taken of the daughter in question, along with a long list of personal information and medical records. Her name was Rita, though her last name was censored. She was twenty-two, about 5'3" in height and 125 lbs. All of this was information that described a lot of women and didn't necessarily narrow her search in the slightest. Perhaps the most useful part about this information was that the chip had DNA tracing enabled, so just looking at the girl would be able to bring up a positive ID. Furthermore, the chip also gave her a partial police report about the ongoing investigation, along with information about her most recent whereabouts:

The sight of the kidnapping, March 1st, 2122 ( 11:39 PM )
Between E-5 South Street and E-7 West Boulevard, it is believed she was kidnapped in an alleyway between two stores at 11:39PM. Security camera footage from the neighboring stores catch two men following her. These men have not been identified.
Important Locales:
AFTERLIFE Nightclub, March 1st, 2122 ( 7:00 PM )
It is believed that Rita was attending a concert without her parent's permission at the AFTERLIFE nightclub, located on 24477 A-2 Avenue. This is about 10 miles from the location of the kidnapping, and it is not believed that Rita had access to vehicular transportation. It is possible she took an autocab from this location, but no transactions on her bank account may disprove this theory.
