Her secret communicator went off unexpectedly. When she answered it she heard the YANG Deputy’s voice, “Darkmatter… we need you to come in. I have a new job for you. I’ll be in my office.” Once she arrived the Deputy, as he was known as the number two in the agency, sat behind his large oak wood desk in his office with a glass of red wine in his hand. He was deep in thought as Darkmatter entered his office. He blinked once and then as his eyes lit up to see her, “Ah! Darkmatter, come on in… take a seat please.” He motioned for her to sit in one of the three comfy chairs on the other side of his desk.
As she did as she pleased, he opened a draw in his desk and pulled out a tablet as he spoke. “I’m glad you could make it. We have a new assignment for you. I hope you will be up to the challenge.” He put the tablet on the desk and slid it over to her. “It will respond to your face scan and fingerprints. All you need to know about the case is on the tablet.” The Deputy sat back in his chair, grabbing his red wine glass and taking a sip before continuing. “Agent Ghost was able to locate the hideout of the Eternals, a notorious gang on the west side of the city. They deal in high-end drugs and weapons smuggling, but recently they have begun dabbling in human cargo. Intel is they have a live cargo at their base location. I need you to infiltrate their base, take some good photos for prosecution later and send them back to HQ. After the recon we will assess whether it would be worth a sting operation, or not. Do not! I repeat do not take further action yourself! They are a very dangerous gang.”
Deputy took another sip of his wine, before asking, “Do you think you are ready for your first big job?... Do you have any questions?”
