Two moons shone their light into the pine forest, one hanging high in the sky above, and one rippling gently, set into the shimmering surface of the pond. It was only half-full, but seemed especially bright on this night, cloudless and calm, on the road that ran through the forest from north to south.
Not far off the path, in front of the remains of a dwindling fire, sat a large, sleeping figure. She wasn't hidden at all, covered in white fur that lit up like a cold candle in the moonlight. Her clothes looked piecemeal at best, bits of leather and hide stitched together.
It was clear that her clothing wasn't her main concern, despite the thick muscle and rolling curves that covered her body. A thick sword hung from the belt at her waist, along with several pouches that contained the meager supplies she kept herself alive with. She could sleep under the stars and hunt like an animal, so she never needed much to bring with her besides gold and a whetstone to keep her blade's edge as sharp as it could be.
