โ€œI told you to have the designs on my desk by Monday, Clementine.โ€

โ€œAnd I did!โ€

โ€œItโ€™s Thursday.โ€ The blonde deadpanned.

The twenty one year old offered an uneasy smile, tugging her lower lip between her teeth.
โ€œSo maybe Iโ€™m a few days late, but shit has been hard for me lately, you know that.โ€

Gomez nodded a single time. โ€œI apologise for my class getting in the way of your extra curricular activities, if you knew you couldnโ€™t handle it, why sign up in the first place?โ€

Clementineโ€™s brows furrowed, her lips parting as if she were about to say something, before seemingly thinking twice and clamping them shut. Why did she sign up for the class? She loved fashion, had done since she was a mere six year old. But this was too much for her. In that sense, at least. It was stressful having to come up with brand new never-before-seen clothing designs.

โ€œBecause Mrs. Gomez, if I donโ€™t challenge myself, who will?โ€ She offered the woman a sarcastic grin.

Brown eyes narrowed, the corner of her lips tilting into a scowl.
โ€œYouโ€™ve got twenty four hours to have those designs on my desk or youโ€™re out, is that clear?โ€

The brunette smiled, moving two fingers to her forehead in a mock salute. โ€œCrystal.โ€ She promised, eyes twinkling.

โ€œLook, Iโ€™m just saying this isnโ€™t working out.โ€ Harvey lifted a single shoulder in a half assed shrug, huffing out a breath.

Blue hues narrowed in on clenched fists, a sarcastic laugh echoing off of the pale walls of a once shared apartment.
โ€œFirst of all, jack-ass, I know youโ€™re lyinโ€™, second? Youโ€™re breaking up with me?โ€ It was bold, she had to give him that. Especially considering she had been the one to turn a blind eye when the fucker started receiving phone calls from numbers she didnโ€™t recognise. Honestly though, this didnโ€™t surprise her. She hadnโ€™t ever been known to stay in a relationship for that long - it was just shitty โ€˜cause she always had been the dumper, not the dumpee.

The shaggy haired male huffed out a laugh, shaking his head.
โ€œSo what if I am lying? Itโ€™s over. I want you out.โ€

If looks could kill - Harvey would be six feet under, hell, heโ€™d be further than that. Gritting her teeth, she threw him the bird, before stumbling out of the front door. Ideally, it wasnโ€™t smart moving in with somebody she knew she wouldnโ€™t be with long enough to find a new apartment - but, she was so close to being evicted, and he had offered her a place to stay, who was she to turn him down? Folding her arms over her chest, she attempted to hold back a shiver. Maybe wearing a short sleeved shirt wasnโ€™t the best idea, at least, not in this weather.

Clenching her jaw, icy fingers fumbled for the device hidden within denim pockets, her gaze dropped to the contacts, before she found the one she was looking for.

Mind if I come over? I need to talk to you.

Soft clacking and tapping filled the room as one Artemis Tribes worked on her latest piece. She had a project due in a few days, and the assignment was to simply create a classic horror set with a non-standard mediums or materials. Simple, by the sound of it, but when you consider just how many mediums people use to create, it's a bit harder. Luckily, an email to her professor told her that a video game would he perfectly acceptable.

So, there she was, using a game called Dreams to recreate a scene from an old swamp monster film. She'd never really extensively played the game, but luckily the community was super friendly, so her progress was steady.

It was a good thing, though, that she had conditioned herself to not get startled all that easily, as when she was in the 'zone' the world around her tended to blur. When a ding sounded from her phoke, the only thing Artemis did was blink, before setting her controller down.

Reading the short message was enough to make the young woman grin and begin coyly messing with a strand of forest-green dyed hair that had escaoed her beanie. It didn't matter what she was doing; the promise of hanging out with her BFF always brightened her day. Although, sometimes said best friend only came over to gush about some new hot guy that she was with, and that... Tended to darken her mood.

Still, Clementine had been with that current douchebag, Howard, or whatever his name was, for a few weeks, so she probably wouldn't bring him up.

So, without further ado...

A single glance down at the device held between gripped fingers managed to draw a smile from the brunette, she could always count on Arty. No matter what fucked up crazy events happened in her life - Artemis had always been the one constant. The one who was there for her through everything. She shoved the phone back into her pocket, beginning the somewhat long walk towards her best friends house.

It wasn't weird for her to have her address ingrained into her mind, she had spent enough at the gals apartment to know how to get there with her eyes closed. Finally, she came to a stop outside the dimly lit apartment building, climbing up the stairs, and shouldering her way through the door. She very much highly doubted Artemis would mind if she simply waltzed rather than rang the doorbell.

Clementine strolled through the threshold of her best friends apartment, an over-exaggerated groan slipping past parted lips. "You will not believe the day I've had." she murmured, flopping onto the sofa beside her.

Having spent the entire day until now on her project neant that Artemis, well, probably didn't smell all that nice, so as she waited for her friend to arrive she decided to take a shower, making sure to be generous with her new labender shampoo and vanilla body wash. Her art professor had always joked that, when deep into a project, an artist tends to forget to make themselves presentable as well, and now Artemis knew that to be true.

She hadn't quite finished her shower by the time Clementine arrived, but she could faintly hear her friend call out, and the shower would be heard by the brunette. As Clementine awaited, a cute little brown-and-tan kitten named Pinecone mewled and used its little claws to climb onto the couch to visit the brunette.

A few minutes later, and Artemis came out, running a towel through her wet green hair and pajamas put on. "Tell me about it Clem." She smiled, plopping herself down next to her bff.
