Hello!
I have been inactive for quite awhile, so pardon the dust and cobwebs. They add character, don't you think? Hopefully you don't judge me too heavily while I do some spring cleaning. Not much else to do, quarantine and all that jazz.
Anywho, I'm back and looking to get a good story or two up and running! That being said, I really don't want to overcommit myself to too much at once, so I will only be starting one or two at the very most, so if I'm not receptive right away, I'm sorry! Definitely keep an eye out to see if I open up to more in the future and you still have an itch to scratch!
The Pros:
-Literate: I like to make sure my posts are up to snuff, and I expect the same out of my partner. That way, no misunderstandings happen and we can move the story along at a decent pace without one party carrying most of the burden.
-Understand: To counter the above point, I understand if there are mistakes! They happen! If I don't understand something, I'll ask for clarity, just to make sure we're on the same page. I also don't mind if you end up taking a break or just aren't feeling the story at all. Just let me know, and we can adjust, go our separate ways, or just put the writing on the back burner.
-OOC: I'm a chatty Kathy. I like to make friends with new people or reconnect with people from the past. I'm a hermit, so if you want to chat, I'm all about it!
The Cons:
-Sometimes infrequent posts: Life gets crazy, and sometimes I can't find the juice to get a post out. Being one that hates posts that are all filler, no substance, if I don't find myself writing at a level I approve of, I won't put anything out. So if you're someone who needs 5 posts daily (exaggeration) then I don't think I'm your man. NOTE: MY MEMORY IS PRACTICALLY NONEXISTENT. IF I GO AWOL WITHOUT A POST, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHOOT A MESSAGE MY WAY TO POKE ME ALONG.
-Indecisive: I'm definitely the guy that says "I don't care, what do you want to do" when asked what I want. It's not so much that I'm indifferent, it's more that I want to ensure both parties are happy with the current direction of a story. I'm pretty open to most things, and can adapt to my partners wishes without having to put forth too many of my own. That said, I do have an F-list, so check that out if you're interested.
So, with the formalities out of the way, just a few ideas I've had bouncing around in my head! I plan of fleshing these out further, but for now they are bare bones just to lay the groundwork. Keep in mind I only play MxF, with myself as the male.
Monster Hunting!
-An open ended idea with a number of possibilities, both as original universes or fandoms. Think "The Witcher" or "Castlevania" and you're on the right track. I am also open to a "Monster Hunter World" type story, if that's more your jam.
Castles and Kings and Thieves and Assassins oh lord I'm going to pass out
-Give me nobles! Kings and Queens, princes and princesses, your thieves, your assassinations, your wars, all of it! I love a good romance or love/hate relationship in the midst of conflict and violence. Keep it more realistic or go crazy with the fantasy, I am a huge fan of DnD and their fantasy races and magic.
The Deletion of Existence. (TAKEN)
In a small town where everyone knows everyone, rumors spread like wildfire. So it's no wonder when a new face shows up in town, they're not a stranger for long. That is, until Jericho Shaw arrives with little more than the clothes on his back and the spring in his step.
The man is a mystery, no social media records to be found. Questions of his past are met with a knowing grin and a wink, or a chuckle and tip of the hat. With no hard facts to fill in the shadows that make up Mr. Shaw, and with little else to do to entertain themselves, the town finds ways to fill in the blanks.
"I heard he was a member of the mafia on the run from the feds!"
"I heard he can see dead people and stuff!"
"Maybe he's one of those writers that finds some lonely town to settle in for inspiration?"
No one even noticed when things began to go missing. No one except you.
THE IDEA: Basically, my character is a dark celestial, a being with control of the cosmos themselves. Rather than creating stars/galaxies/life with the power he possesses, he savors the beauty of destruction - taking what was and reducing it to the dust it came from. Your character can be a citizen that stumbles across him in the act, or another new face that moves to town as he does, or another celestial, perhaps one drawn to his presence. In any case, the story would begin roughly around the time that an event (whatever event, we can discuss it) causes him to temporarily lose his power. Now he's stuck with someone who knows his true identity with no way to silence them.
PLOT: The End of The Line
The transition from life to death is rarely an easy one, especially for those that have not come to terms with their own passing. To help smooth the process, the Gods have reimagined Limbo to be something more easily understood by mortal souls. Upon ones death, they reach what is dubbed as "The End of the Line", where time stands still and all exits loop back to the same entrance. Here these souls stay, until they come to understand their passing and move on. To many, this takes little time. After all, death is inevitable, and to the sick and weak, they know their time has come. However, to those that die without warning in their prime, it can be harder to swallow. The Gods entrust those that help guide souls into the afterlife to look after these grieving spirits, aiding them in their search to learn of, understand, and come to terms with, their death.
THE IDEA: My character is an attendant to The End of The Line that your character has found themselves in. They've died unexpectedly (the method is up to you) and are now stuck in Limbo. With the assistance and support of my character, your character will learn the truth of what happened and decide whether or not they are ready to move on.
This story can be flexible, taking place either in a realistic setting (a small town motel or something) or in a fantasy realm (think a high fantasy tavern or inn with all sorts of races). These settings allow a variety of colorful characters to come and go. This is a largely plot driven story, but can contain smut if you like as well, given that Limbo is now a realm to help ease the transition into the afterlife (you have to relax somehow!).
NEW (AND CURRENT) CRAVING: Space pirates baby! I've been really itching to play something where characters are traversing the unknown depths of space, meeting new beasties and generally just have a fun (and occasionally dirty) adventure. No plots in mind, so feel free to hit me with whatever you got!
That's all I have time for now. Take care!
