Question Last Read: Unknown

Hello! This may be a silly question to some, but you have to forgive me since I'm not very tech-savvy and I'm not all that great with some of the features of this site. I have noticed a few people I've messaged back and forth in PMs have had there last read option to read unknown instead of the last timestamp they have read the message. This intrigues me since I like the privacy of it. How do I set my options to do the same? I tried clicking reject tracking, but it didn't seem to change anything since it still showed my last time read. I'm so confused. Help?

your account > privacy > scroll down to Allow users to: > Track your read status in shared conversations > select nobody
