Welcome to my little experimental Request Thread. Much like how I intend on rolepaying, I'm trying to push my own boundaries and break the standard template. Apologies for any graphic designers witnessing my sub par skills.
As with any transaction, I think it important to start with what I provide. After all, I'd never expect anyone to message me unless they were absolutely convinced that I would be of some value to them.
Post Length – Hemingway was once challenged to write a five word story, and wrote a classic that will far outlive many of his peers. Seeing as I pale in comparison to him, I instead posit that I can provide an excess of verbiage to accommodate my lack of abundance of talent and ingenuity. In essence, if you’re looking for longer and more articulate posts, I’m your guy.
Flexibility – Back in middle school, the only athletic exercise I outperformed my peers in was the one where you bent forward to touch your toes without bending your knees. What I’m trying to say is I’m accommodating to my partner’s need – easily adaptable, the opposite of rigid, hmm there’s a word I’m missing here. Posting schedule, changes in tone and planning, and so on. I can bend to your knees as need be.
Congeniality – I’m sure that’s a word. It definitely is – don’t you dare look it up and contradict me. Essentially, I’ve been told I’m a lovely person and people tend to enjoy chatting with me in the wee hours of the evening. Were these people under duress? I don’t see what that has to do with anything.
Onto what I'm looking for out of a roleplay partner. Essentially, I've roleplayed enough where plots are of little consequence to me. That's not to say I don't want a good one - it's more like I want more than that. As I mentioned in the introduction of this little thread, I'm looking to bend and push boundaries. Not in terms of content, though that is certainly welcome, but rather in terms of how we write. I want the world to be organic and dynamic and huge if we want to focus on that aspect. If we want to go character-driven, I want wrinkles thrown in (perhaps as we write our characters we each know things the other do not?), if we want to focus on broader organizations, perhaps we play characters that are constantly in peril of death and could be replaced after one fatal mistake. Let's bend and stretch the limits.I understand this is not what everyone's looking for, and my standards are bit rigorous. However, if you're interested I think we'll create a cracking adventure and weave a broad and beautiful tapestry using our combined efforts. Feel free to message me - the worst you'll get, assuming you've read and considered my RT, is a polite no.
