We use EveryDNS for domain name resolution. They've been pretty reliable, but every couple of years they have an outage for some reason. The one before this (in 2006) was a DDOS attack. I don't know the specific reason yet, you can check the news at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.everydns.com/">http://www.everydns.com/</a><!-- m --> for details.
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://174.34.158.179/">http://174.34.158.179/</a><!-- m --> is Blue Moon Roleplaying's dedicated IP address. If for whatever reason you can't access Blue Moon, I always recommend trying that as it bypasses DNS. It may not always be usable, but you can actually force that number to always resolve to bluemoonroleplaying.com
Fixing this in such a manner as to guarantee 100% permanent DNS resolution is simply not within my budget, I'm afraid, though I can look into other means of mitigating the problem.
