Carlos Edwards knew from an early age he was one of the ones gifted with powers, it had really destroyed any semblance of a real life he could of had. Any time he got mad his power would surface, an increase in strength and size. As a child, his parents and teachers found this impossible to deal with so he was sent off to government-run detention centers. He really grew up then behind bars and by the time he was able to control the power he had fallen in with delinquents and those with various criminal connections.
Carlos in adulthood then used those connections to become an enforcer for various gangs around the city. His power helped but he also grew into a strong large man well over 6 feet and 200 pounds. He found enjoyment in the violence of the job, it was very cathartic to beat someone to an inch of their life for him. He also found violence transitioning to his personal life where he would go out on Friday nights find women coming back from bars and violently rape them, he enjoyed hearing their cries and screams. His large physique, power, and connections with powerful gang members meant he was basically untouchable in the city too. Law enforcement refused to come after him for the sexual assaults and the other crimes he committed. He could really do and take whatever he wanted.
So tonight was one of those nights he went looking for a woman. The only problem he had with this exercise was all the women were older or clearly had been with a lot of men but this is what he was dealing with. He walked over to his usual spot, a street that was a couple of blocks off the main bars with a rather large dead-end alley/ It was mostly commercial with all the stores closed around this time of the night. He was wearing a wife-beater showing off his tattoos and jeans. A woman was walking down the street, she was clearly intoxicated and yelling at her boyfriend over the phone, calling him a "fuckface" and a "son of a bitch." Perfect catch Carlos thought. She was in a tight black dress and high heels probably in her late 20s. She did not notice him as she passed by so he quickly grabbed her. She dropped the phone and let a scream as Carlos easily picked her up to bring deeper into the alley.

The Joker had a plan that a plan and this time it just might work. It was a simple plan at that. Joker was known around Gotham as more of crazy schemer, a villainous idealist in clown makeup constantly trying to prove how evil people truly were and how chaos should reign. He did not have the organization of a supervillian like The Penguin or the brute strength of someone like Bane. This had in the past let him down. Once a scheme or a plan started to get in motion Batman (or “The Bat” as Joker called him) always got in his way without fail. The last two times Batman even brought along his young sidekick Batgirl and let her do most of the work. Without enough henchmen or good enough fighting skills even Batman’s trainee had wiped the floor with him. The constant defeat and breaking in and out of prison was really starting to annoy Joker but then something wonderful happened. The Bat was gone leaving only the young Bat pup to care for all of Gotham. And Joker’s plan was for her. Joker wanted to break Batgirl physically and emotionally, which he had an idea of how to do but first he had to trap her. The first step was to figure out how the police communicated with her which was not hard. Without Batman around there were more willing henchmen then ever all Joker had to do was hire one and have them kidnap a police officer. That part went off without a hitch. He brought the police officer to the ware house where all the fun was going to happen. He tied the police officer up and held a gun to his head. The officer a new recruit happily agreed to do whatever Joker wanted in between crying and pleading for his life (not that he was going to live past his usefulness).
Joker had the Officer send out a message over the radio. See in Gotham all police radios have a central police headquarter office they send out to and one sent out to Batman. If the crime is big enough a message gets sent out to both simultaneously but if the situation gets bad then its a direct message to Batman. Ever since the Bat was gone it was Batgirl picking up those calls even if the rest of the police department was much more suspicious of the young girl then of Batman. Of course a message just sent to Batgirl meant they were very prepared for anything so Joker did not want the girl on her guard. The Officer sent a message over the radio (only to Batgirl) but stating “All high level drug squad and Batgirl meet at the warehouse 424 West Harlan Street to discuss a possible raid at a nearby location.” After the message was sent out Joker shot the police officer through the skull. He put the body of the police officer in another room and took his jacket. Joker had to then assemble the room for Batgirl. He put a table with a map in the middle and stood in front of it with his back to the front door wearing the jacket. He was also wearing a gas mask because of the canister in his hand. He had a smile on under the gas mask waiting for the fun to begin.
