Question Following?

I've noticed a few people occasionally follow me for no reason but what does that actually mean?

some profiles I looked at made following seem like a big deal but I dun get it. Is it like a stalking feature or something? = 3= Okay maybe stalking is a heavy word.

When you follow someone their public activity shows up on your News Feed, and as long as they don't have the option turned off you'll be able to see when they're online.

I'm not sure how much people actually use the newsfeed, I think some users use the follow feature more as a "hey I like your writing/you seem interesting" sort of gesture.
