The young adult male sat in front of his television, clicking the remote to change the channels. He moved some hair out of his eye, laying on his side still. He set the remote down and looked at the clock. "She will be here any moment now." He said, unlocking his front door and changed the output to his T.V. He then grabbed a controller and plugged in a second, turning on his game system and sat down on his bean bag chair. He moved his hair out of his eyes once more, it starting to irritate him once more.

He hated his semi-long hair, but couldn't and wouldn't want to cut it any more. He was letting it grow out, and for what reason? He didn't have one, he just wanted to. The menu to the new game, called "Outbreak", appeared up on the screen. It was a two player survival game, where you played a group of people who had to survive an onslaught of undead. He then set his control down and looked out the door, not seeing any sign of his friend.

He went into the kitchen, grabbed out a bag of popcorn and took the plastic wrap, setting it in the microwave. "Alright, ah, that button." He said. For some reason he had bad luck with popcorn, but little else. He leaned on the counter, his pure black shirt on and his red-ish jacket was set on the back of one of the chairs. He had on a pair of black boots and slightly tight pants. They weren't skin tight, but they weren't that loose either.

Him and his friend, Kari was her name, were going to play "Outbreak" together, Selo having just gotten it. The game was release the day before, so it wasn't cheap and hadn't had very many reviews of it. Selo was full of anticipation, always glancing at the clock and out the window, but also checking the popcorn. Selo's family had a lot of money, but only owned a single story house, but his father spent most of it in catalogs. He would buy different firearms, and set them around the house. His father also did go out on the shooting range, taking Selo and Kari some of the times.

Selo glanced once more out the door and saw his friend in the distance. "Here she comes!" He said then rushed over to grab the popcorn bag, opening it just a few seconds before the timer would cut off. He then shook the bag and opened it, setting it down on the floor between the two bean bags, grabbing up his control. "Come on in!" He called out as Kari would get close to the door.

Kari stretched out on her bed with a groan and yawn. "Hmm what time is it?" She asked the walls of her room. Sitting up and rubbing her eyes she looked at the green numbers of her alarm clock. "Crap." She said flatly turning from her bed and letting her legs hang from the side. "Need to get ready. Got things to do, wanna sleep more." She argued with herself as she changed from her sleep ware to her street clothes.

Pulling on her favorite, in spite of her mothers comments about it, pink and black stripped short skirt and matching shirt. Tieing her long ebony hair into pig tails she nodded at the mirror not needing any make up. Walking through the house she glanced around to see if any one was home. "Nope, alone again." She said picking up her favorite gloves that her uncle gave her.

Walking out of the door she took in a deep breath of fresh air. "Ahhh, a great day to waste away on video games with Selo's." She said grinning. Stretching once more she looked down the road to his house and nodded before taking off in a full run. Breathing in a steady rhythm she reached his house in a matter of minutes.

Walking in with out knocking she knew that he was waiting for her and would probably get yelled at for knocking at the door. "Hey Selo." She greeted him with a smile. "Oh I smell popcorn, that isnt burnt is you mom home or something?" She teased ploping herself carelessly onto the bean bag and picking up the control.

"So this is the new game that came out yesterday huh, I've only seen reviews for it from big names but they dont count, have you played any yet?" She asked shifting herself deeper into the chair. "Or did you wait for me to start?"

Selo looked at his friend and chuckled. "No, mom is asleep right now. And I thought it nice to start it with you here." He said, picking up the control. He then started the game for the two of them. After a little while, they would get off the game and watch a few movies, joking around and chatting. It would be around sunset when a knock was heard on the door.

Selo stood up and went over to it. "Coming!" He called out, opening the door and saw a person standing there, looking half dead. It was one of the kids from down the road, just barely a teen. "Aye, whats up?" Selo asked and the kid let out a soft moan. "Aye, kid, you alright?" Selo asked, moving out to look at the kid who then lunged at him, hands grabbing Selo and his mouth ready to bite into him. "AYE! Get off me!" Selo shouted, the kid on top of him trying to bite him still. "Kari! Come get this kid! Stronger than he looks!" Selo called out, trying to push the kid off.

When the kid was off him, he would started to get back and up and was going after Kari now. Selo pushed Kari and closed the door behind him. He could still hear the sounds the kid was making and now had blood on his own shirt. "Shit, that kid was strong! And I think he had a chunk of skin out of his hand. Selo then jumped as another bang hit the door, but this one was harder than just that kid hitting the door, and seemed a bit too high for the kid as well. "What the hell was that." Selo questioned, slowly moving to the peep hole on the door to look out of it.
