The sun set beyond the green canopy of the forest. It was a warm day in spring, and good tidings was to be had. The seeding of the fields went as planned, diseases where low, and everyone was in good health and spirits in the village. Though, that could change.

The lizardmen hunting pack composed of 4 strong males. They wore little clothing. Loincloths was the standard, save for necklaces and bracers. They stalked the outskirts of the town at the late day, hoping to find someone wandering too far form the others. Basic predator tactics, attack the one seperated from the herd. Countrary to popular belief, lizardmen did not like the taste of human flesh. However, they liked human slaves. They sold good, and where pleasent to behold. Half of the slaves where, however. That was the kind of slaves that they hoped to find.

This pack where far form their normal hunting grounds, hoping to find a settlement without previous knwoledge of them, but rumours travelled fast. They could at least hope to find some careless female to capture.

Catherine had been out playing in the flower fields again. She had stayed a little too long when she had taken a nap when she shouldnt have. By the time she awoke the sun was starting to set, it would be dark before she even made it back to town. Her mother would kill her for staying out late. She started back on the long trek to the town, hoping it wasnt going to be a chilly night. She hadn't dressed for cold weather, busy enjoying the sun in her short dress.

They told stories of monsters that capture girls after dark and do things to them but no one had seen them, infact all but the eldest generation amongst the town thought them to my just stories. Her grandfather was adamant in suggesting they were real, sporting scars on his shoulder when he supposedly fought them off. Catherine never believed a word of it, their little town was secluded from all manner of monsters, infact it had been over 60 years since the last sighting.

Catherine wandered home without too many scared thoughts in her head. The main ones were of her mother and father yelling at her for staying out late, probably not believing her story and suggesting she was with a man. Catherine was a young adult, 15 in age, she was more than marrying age. She was a particular short girl, standing at a mere five foot even, her hair was ebony, long, it was braided tightly behind her.

(Goddamn my lack of memmory.)

The prowlers where in luck. They had doubts wether they would find any prey outside of town, and where discussing wether they should break inside one of the small buildings and idnap whomever was the most desirable. Then, they found her. The petite girl that strolled through the fields was a sight for sore eyes. Every lizardman in the gang where convinced. There was a silent agreement that she would be their victim.

So, they ran. They rushed through the tall fields towards her. They left their weapons behind, so they could grab her faster. One of them held a few meters of rope in his hands, ready to ensare the girl and ensure that she couldn't escape once they brought her down. The lizardmen where silent and stealthy, Catherine wouldn't notice anything beofre she felt the large, warm and callouse hand son her body. She wa spinned down, and was quickly bound. Within a few seconds of well rehersed training, she was carried away on the shoulders of a lizardman, a creature she previous thought was a thing of legend.

They where fast, and they disappared into the forest within minutes.

Catherine continued along the tall field unaware she had been tracked, and stalked. She had no reason to fear anything in the valley, nothing bad ever came this way, nothing bad until now. She felt scaled hands, claws and rope grab her, even if she wanted to scream a hand had covered her mouth. It wasnt going to matter in anycase, she was still far from town and nobody would hear her.

She put no real fight up, unable to fight off an attack she never saw coming, hell she wouldnt have been much match if they came head on and warned her. The extend of her struggles were her squirming movements to try and free herself to no avail. Carried off, she felt fear and it engulfed her quickly it paralleled the sun, with the last of the light fading behind the horozon so too did her hope. The darkness of night was the fear that quickly engulfed her. Taken into the forest and beyond they took her beyond the furthest point she had ever been to. She was one of the few who dared to explore, only a few hunters knew the area, and even then they probably never ventured in this direction.
