Dreama stood watching the sunrise out her window. She pulled the blanket tighter around her shoulders as she scowled slightly. If her powers could extend that far she would do away with sunrise. One minute it would be night the next it would be light. Sunset she would keep but this sun coming up slowly simply had to go.
A knock on the door behind her turned her attention but only made her growl softly. Her mood was not improving. Opening the door, a small wisp of a servant stood holding a note before her. Dreama barely met the girls eyes before the girl took off running down the hall. Slightly amused she wondered which rumor had instilled all that fear in the girl.
Of course looking at the note she now held in her hand, mostly likely he had warned the girl to deliver the note and run. Still not over her. Dreama mused silently to herself. She had not meant to wound him so deeply. Her temper could get the better of her at times and she had yet to find anything that could keep it in check. Or should she say he had yet to find anything that would keep her in check.
Closing the door she broke the seal on the note. Scanning over the note she noticed his carefully wording. He was being respectful but she could sense it was forced. His request for her presence had been much more respectfully worded. Setting the note down on the table she rummaged through her jewelry box. Finding a simply gold necklace and cross she watched the light twinkle on it for a moment before putting it on.
Dreama knew he would recognize it. It had belonged to a servant girl, apparently he had been fond of her for whatever reason. But the ritual needed a sacrifice, her temper had flared and she thought why not kill two birds with one stone. Nearly 18 months had passed only now was he showing true signs of moving on again.
It was quickly approaching the time for another. The blue moon would be here in a matter of weeks. It seemed strange how after 15 years most of the court knew her magick kept her and him alive, but still did not notice the missing servants or the time frames. It wasn't like they could do much anyway but the thought amused her.
And the cross, the cross would be a nice little reminder to him. His immortally did not come without a price and would not be if it was not for her. She would love the look on his face when he noticed it. It almost too bad he didn't have a new toy. Another 18 months of this would be interesting.
Grudgingly she dropped the blanket and began to get dressed. Since it was too damn early anyway she dressed like she didn't care. The navy blue skirt came down to just above her ankles. If it wasn't for all of the layers of silk and satin one might actually notice the slits that went all the way to the waist. The shirt was also navy and might have been see through if the color had been any lighter.
Pulling the brush through her brown hair she pulled it back with a white ribbon and moved toward the door. She checked her image as she crossed the mirror and smiled slightly seeing how well the small cross stood out against her pale skin. It will do well enough. Pulling up the door she slowly made her room to his entertainment room.
Pushing that door open without knocking she noticed he was already there along with one of his advisors, Bian. The man did not like her much but he had given up the argument years ago. Like the rest of the court he tolerated her when he had too and stayed the hell away from her the rest of the time. He nodded and mumbled a hello before hastily looking back to his book.
Dreama moved to a seat at the table. Even as she approached she noticed the gold had caught his attention and he was staring fixedly at it, till it clicked in place. She watched as he visibly paled and looked from the cross to her eyes. She didn't smile but was satisfied with the look on his face.
Whatever he might have done was cut short as Caelan knocked and slowly walked in. Smiling Caelan took a seat across from her. He was young and one of the few at court that did not fear her. Actually he had seemed to take an interest in her. After several months she was still deciding if she liked that or not. She caught him looking down slightly.
"Is that a new? I don't think I see you in much jewelery."
Smiling pleasantly at him it was all she could do not to her left for the kings reaction. " No it was a present, I have had it several months now. This is just the first time I have thought to wear it."
From the other end of the table Caelan chimed in. "Pardon me, Lady Valdis but I didn't think you were a very religious woman.... At least in the meaning of that cross."
"Oh I am not.... that rumor is not exaggerated... but it was a gift after all.... I think it is only fit to occasionally take it out and wear it."
He seemingly accepted her answer nodding his head slightly and returning to his book. One of the servants slipped up to the table offering her a glass and tea. Smiling kindly at the girl she thanked her before she moved off. For a moment Dreama's eyes followed her. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed the king was too. She wondered if she had been mistaken, if maybe he had found another fling.
"Nice, girl."
She whispered softly, neither Caelan or Bian looked up. Only he had caught her meaning. More than likely both Caelan and Bian had heard the rumor she had an interest in the servant girls. The rumor wasn't true but it kept a good number of the court from trying to catch her eye. She noted the tension in him but did not jump on it. He always was squirmy when it came down to the death of an innocent. The rest of breakfast went by without anything remarkable. Standing to leave she heard someone clear there throat.
"Lady Valdis... I have someone I would like you to meet....." It was the king who finally got up the nerve to speak. Dreama nodded.
"I shall be in my room, you may send them there....." He nodded and she took it as permission to leave. As she headed back to her room she wondered if he was finally growing enough spine to pick the sacrifice himself instead of leaving it completely up to her.

The words of the kings act's of immortality had been enough when he saw that she required that the own mage needed to be shown place. The DragonLord Dhamon Grimwulf. Was one who finally answered. Saying and stating that their is not one beast he cannot control or break. He had in his very castle the dragons Famous for their actions and breed. He was The Lord Of the dragons and one that was respected. As such he was a King for a village of future lords and only the strong. Even kids of the age five could wield swords and fight.
As the day wore on he left to the castle. The hated and dark castle he knew to be where the one beast to live. As he flew in with the sunrise he looked toward the castle darkness stood their. And it welcomed him to try his control. He had only come with his dragon and with his normal attire. A Full plate metal armor blessed by the gods and goddess. His sword marked and chiped. A dragons bane highly prized and rather good against all kinds of things. His cape bore dragon skin as his armor even looked like dragons lined it. Walking into the castle he was greeted by the servents but only blew them off as he made his way to the dinning room.
"Where is this beast."Bellowed Dhamon as he stepped up behind the King right after the girl had left. When that answer was bestowed apon him his answer he headed out and towards Dreamas room. Their he barged right into the room with out anywarning what so ever. He didn't need to address himself.

"Necromancer This day is your last time you disobey any word given."He said."Do not ask do not speak...Do not try and cast your magic."He said. Their the large dragons head was blocking out sun light to the room. It watched carefully. "Now Necro...You will only answer to me and no one else...you will eat when told...Go out when told. You will not so much as whip your ass with out my say so...Is that clear or does it have to be beaten into you?"The DragonLord asked as the sound of barbed whips hit the ground. One thing he used almost instantly on dragons who failed to listen. And it showed when the dragon let out a small whimper.

Arriving back at her room, Dreama sat at her desk, once again pouring over an ancient tome. After her mentors death, his collection had come into her possession. Nearly two decades of studying and she had managed to go through a very small amount of his books. Many he had not allowed her near till close to the end of their days together. There were many areas that he held her back, expecting her to learn on her own and after he was gone. He probably feared that she would surpass him or worse. His collection had been massive. Manuscripts and text collected over more than nine decades. The man had been greedy about knowledge and had been sure to instill that same drive into her. Thankfully she had been blessed with a photographic memory.
When all the words started to blurr together, she marked the page and closed the book. Walking to the window she admired the view. Bright sunlight streaming in. Something passed the window a moment before her door flew open. Turning she was surprised to see the man. More shocked when the man started to demand her around. Blinking slowly at him, she wondered if the man had a death wish. If this was the man the king had sent to her, both men were out of there damn minds.
Very carefully Dreama started to move toward him. There was not that much space separating them. Each moment careful and planned. Seductive and as non threatening as she could be. Her body language the perfect example of submission. A playful smile on her lips. “Crystal clear, Sir.”
Thinking she was close enough, she moved with all her speed. She pulled a black dagger from the folds of her skirt, the blade bit into her own wrist then thrust it towards him. She had more than enough time to look over his armor and find a spot to draw blood. She did not need a fatal shot, just a little blood mixed with hers and she would bring this fool to his knees.

The armor had no flaw in it. If it couldn't be raked apart by even the strongest dragons then no dagger would get to his flesh. It was not one side plated it was multi protected even against tricks that people used."Do you have an early death wish."He barked down at her and brought down his free hand right onto her shoulder."Do not think to bring me to my knees. You do not know how strong DragonLords are."He said and slapped her right acrros the face. Their was really only a few things that would slip right through his armor and into his skin. And that was rare metals from the inner earth.
"Dreama I think it is...You should have learned from your master and your king that once A DragonLord is attacked you are made an enemy of everything and even your magic won't save you."He said."You are simple minded and Don't worry I will beat that and your attitude out of you."He said and grabbed her throat. The metal on his cloths would feel like hot boiling metal. Made with dragon fire his metal was and nonthing else interfeared.

(Sorry it's shorter then the first i have to go to class)

A soft noise escaped her lips as he slapped her. Dream’s body language was already changing. Going from offense to complete submission. It was almost as if she flipped a switch in her mind. In truth it was not all that different. The only way she had survived her mentor because her personality had split when she was younger. Able to switch between to completely different personalities. While keep her mind in tact, she needed to find a place of complete calm and submission in mind and body. It had worked so well her mentor actually began to believe it.

Dreama gently touched his hand with her left hand, her weaker hand. Everything in her body saying that she was terrified. Eyes a little wide, she looked up at him appearing apologetic. Body curving slightly to press closer to him. With no warning she brought the knife up again, her left hand tightening on his hand to keep them tangled and him unable to move either hand fast enough to stop her. The knife knicked his cheek.

Already she could feel the blood mingling with hers. Pulling back with all her strength, it did not matter that she fell to the floor. Not looking at him. She was quick to draw another line of blood from her own wrist. Knowing she had moments, not even seconds she was already calling her magick, working on connecting them, reaching for him. Dreama was reaching for his soul, planning on pulling it from his body. It was not enough to kill him but it would give her the time to do that by hand. She could feel her magick touch on him but the armor was making things more difficult than normal. Still not concerned. She believed her will was stronger than his. That she would win this.

“I do not have great control of the living, but I will change that sooner enough. Get on your knees now and I will make it painless for you… I might even let your soul pass instead of putting it on my shelf...”

He watched her carefully as she swtiched to a new personality. This would not full him."You are easy to read wench."He growled. But as she started to climb up to him he didn't catch the blade as it knicked his cheek. When she was starting her magic he had felt the cut it was small but enough for a necromancer to use. "My soul will not leave this body."He snarled. The armor would not let the soul free. It was designed to block out any magic that would harm him.

"Get to my knees...No DragonLord bows to wenches."He growled and flashed his eye's at the dragon outside. The dragon smashed the wall and placed it's clawed hand like a cage around the girl and dragged her out to break her hold over him. Regaining his control He place his helmet over his head and it covered his mouth and his eye's tearned more cold."She need's to learn who is in control."He said his voice deep and demanding. Climbing out of the room he dragged the bared whips behind him.

"Now wench you will suffer for trying to kill a Lord."He said and cracked the whips. The dragon held the gril down onto the ground not letting up not even going to listen to anyone but the Lord."You do not think before your actions why do you think I came with a plan for you."He said."You will be leaving this castle and come live with me for the time till that worthless king needs to be whatever you call it."He said."But for now after you leave this cort yard your body will be marked by my whip over anything else."

Dreama did not let go of the magick. It was useless against the dragon and she could not get to him but it was all she had. Desperation fueling her. Racking her mind for something. Anything to stop or slow this. She would not go silently. Using the knife to draw a deeper bead of blood on herself before he could try to stop her physically. She was willing to make the sacrifice of pain and blood.

“I will not!!!” Dream screamed the words at him.
True terror was leaking into her. There was no way she was going to do this. She would not be chained down by a new Master. Not another cruel master. There was no way she would submit. Not after what she suffered and endured through her first. No… NO…. no…. She would not go back to a life like that.
“I will not serve a master again! I will not serve you!”

He growled when the force of the magic grew stronger."Don't think that it matters what you say."He said."I was ordered and paid to make you more submissive and that's what I plan to do."He growled."Now you can do this the easy way and listen to me or else...You meet whips...And dragons."He growled and the whip snaked in to the claws of the dragon and wrapped around her arm. Pulling hard on it she was forced against the claws of the dragon.

The dragon looked down at her. The claws were in the ground but she was pinned against the side of his claws. Growling down at her the dragon leaned down and let out a breath of hot air to force her to not move. The heat felt like someone would be stepping onto her chest onto her body completely.

"Now."The DragonLord spoke."Will you follow what I demand or will your body become food for the dragons and the whip?"He asked the bared whip dug into her arm as he held it tight against her arm and her body pressed against the blunt side of the talons."Im waiting."He barked.
