Nami stared at the pasta sauce which was currently bubbling in the pot. She had been staring at it for quite a long time, looking almost as if she was not going to discover that it was already boiling, and ready to eat. There were many times that she was like this nowerdays, her research now totally dominating all parts of her life. Despite the fact that she had two... 'recious' little girls for her to care for, she could not get past what she was doing. And why not? It could change the world, forever embed her imprint on the scintific world. But most of all.... it could provide her with something all humans searched for.

Ever since she had lost her job, she had been furiously at work on her own labrotory, making sure to do her best to cur as much spending as she could in order to fund her own research. The sheer fact that she now slep ton the couch and allowed her two little girls to sleep in their own bedroom should have been proof enough that she loved them. Inside though, there was always a war going on. She raised them well, knew all of their conditions and was practially their doctor. THe perfect test subjects really, but then there was that innert feeling inside of her that doing this to kin was nothing more than monsterous, someplace she was unable to bring herself to do.

Only the thump of the heater turning on and the small rattling of the house did she snap back to reality, as she finished stirring up the sauce and moved to pour it into a large bowl, and placed it on their kitchen table. "Fiye! Alice! Dinner's on the table..." She yelled out to them as she moved to grab three bowls, and filled them with the pasta and sat them down at the three chairs at the table, before sitting down. Grades were out today, but he wasn't really worried about her little girls. They should be smart just like their mother, and if they were doing poorly... well, she'd be able to figure it out and punish accordingly.

Alice and Fiye were rather.. ambigious twins. Much like their mother, they always were willing to try and succeed at whatever they set their eyes to. However, in recent years, it seemed like the two had much differentiating likes. Alice was one who always preferred studying versus... some of the more social and physical engagements like sports, modern entertainment, and acting. While Fiye preferred those kinds of things above all others. Together, the two could possibly be a deadly force in the years ahead.

But, for now, the two pair of eyes were focused upon their mother, just as a doorbell rang. Report cards had arrived, and Alice would have, of course, passed with stunning grades. While Fiye... well, she was barely passing on by. Having scored D's in all but Physical Education, and her extra curricular activities. Fear wasn't... well, Fiye wasn't too fearful of the consequences to be honest. She expected to be yelled at for about an hour or so, before sent to live in her room for a day or three, before being released back out into the wild. As what happened to her friends. And, if it happens to everyone, why wouldn't it happen to you?

Yet, Alice didn't waste time grabbing the letters. Moving to pass both of them over to her mother, before giving off a rather beaming smile, "Report Cards!" She was thrilled to say the least. Being congratulated, told you'll be going to the best schools. It was something Alice would die for. She wanted to work like her mother, and help cure various, life threatening, diseases. Most of them, at least.

Nami watched as the two came to the table, as she did her best to sit them down before taking the report card from Alice. She sat down as she grabbed the large spoon and put some of the sauce onto her place before she handed it to the girls as she opened up the report card for Alice first. Almost straight A's, as expected from her little girl... not terribly good in Physical Education, and she just sort of rolled her eyes at that. "Good job Alice, you're doing well, as usual." She told her before patting her on the head, and then kissing her on the forehead.

However, when she looked over to Fiye... well, she didn't look nervous. Hopefully she had gotten her grades up from last time...She opened up the letter, and her heart sank. All D's, with Physical Education, the silliest class she thought, giving an A. She sighed, almost losing her appetite from this. "Fiye.... could you explain this? Do you know what your average is?" She asked her, clearly not in a good mood at all. Oh, she wasn't going to be getting just a lecture. If she wanted to be childish, then Nami would treat her like one.

She had never used much force on her children... but Fiye was just asking for it, what with her attitude and all. She understood why Fiye wasn't sad, wasn't fearful... it's because she had been too soft on her children, and Fiye was about to get a taste that her mother wasn't some pushover.
