Blackness had overtaken Suzaku Kururugi when the soldiers had charged into the place he had been using to hide, to hide from Lelouch, the new emperor of the holy britannian empire. Suzaku had sided with him against the emperor, convinced by the unveiling of his old friend as Zero, the leader of the rebellion. Suzaku remembered helping Lelouch stop his father from unleashing whatever he was planning. Lelouch had been honest with him, or so he thought, he did not use his power to command him to assist, instead suzaku joined the black rebellion himself, motivated to save japan his own way. Though once the fighting was all over everything went bad, lelouch became the new emperor, and though he eliminated the class struggles his father so loved, he still wielded absolute power, and approached suzaku and began making advances on him, Suzaku refused the new emperor's offer to join him in a much different way and fled, becoming hunted by the people who were once his allies..
Suzaku had refused the emperor's advances once in private, afraid of what his old friend had become when he took over the Britannian Empire and restored all the numbered colonies to their rightful names. When the soldiers broke down the doors to Suzaku's hideaway he faught valiantly before being overtaken, the soldiers using a knockout gas on the young man before he could take down too many of the people who were trying to capture him. When suzaku woke up he was already in a shuttle heading towards the Britannian palace, where he was sure Lelouch was waiting for him. Suzaku looked out the window of the shuttle, down at the grand imperial palace that stood below them. The shuttle landed without issues, carrying the prisoner that the emperor had requested to be taken to him personally. The soldiers did not likely know of the emperor's "Offer" to suzaku or that he had rejected him out of shock, even suzaku didn't know what lelouch planned to do this time around.
As the shuttle landed several soldiers approached the former knight, seizing him by the shoulders and lifting him up without saying a word, a couple other soldiers taking him by his bound arms and carried him out of the vehicle. Suzaku resisted them of course, refusing to move, if Lelouch wanted him executed he would have ordered his soldiers to kill him, however Suzaku felt something else, and something horrible crawling up on him. The male was moved, knowing the palace from his meetings with the late emperor Charles, the soldiers dragged him, seeing as how he barely had the strength to move, and every bit of it he had left he used fighting them.
The soldiers dragged suzaku down the long hallway and up the stairs, eventually suzaku was able to move without being dragged across the brilliantly colored carpet. The twin doors parted into the throne room and suzaku instinctively closed his eyes in reaction to the brightness. Suzaku, the young knightmare pilot who had served as an honorary britannian at first and as an elite black knight later was taken to the throne room, still wearing his black knight uniform, his brown hair mussed and his green eyes down. the soldiers walked suzaku into the room and when they were within range of the throne pressed down on his shoulders. When suzaku refused to bow a strike was delivered to his knee, forcing him to bow before the emperor.
"Your highness, At your request, Suzaku kururugi" one of the men who had captured suzaku was a knight, as indicated by his state of dress. The young man did not make eye contact with the emperor, he knew what Lelouch could do with those eyes.
