Lan was taking on what was probably the most dangerous job he'd ever been ordered to do. He was to go into a heavily protected mansion to take the daughter of a very high ranked vampire. He had been in very bad missions but this seemed a bit like suicide, he wouldn't be able to turn until he either had the girl, or was spotted, he had to stay hidden. Still maybe it was too late to think about that, he had already made it through the grounds into the mansions. He staid out of view, going to the room he was told she'd be in.

[just imagine her with pale skin]

Trianna sighed lightly as she fingered the hem of her skirt as it ended at mid-thigh. She wore a simple outfit made up of a soft cotton and silk halter-styled corset with a matching skirt that laced up the sides. The colors were black and white and contrasted wonderfully with her green eyes and short red hair. She was relaxing in her room, a book at her stomach as she read. Faint classical music could be heard all around the mansion if anyone bothered to listen to it. Soon, however, her lids grew heavy from the music and her reading, causing her to place her book down on her stomach and close her eyes. She had no idea an intruder would come and take her away, no. She believed highly that she was protected, even if she was more capable of keeping herself alive.

Lan looked around, just two guards were around he wouldn't be able to sneak across. He had to take them out silently, he took out out two silver throwing knifes and threw them towards their throats, cutting off their air, their ability to call for help. He then rushed over and sliced their heads off with his sword, taking his knives back and going into the room. He looked around for the girl he was after, hoping he hadn't been seen or heard yet.

Asleep in her room, comfortable in her bed, she was awoken by the feeling of a presence. Sitting up, Trianna adjusted her skirt as she blinked the sleep from her eyes and instantly became a alert. She slid from her bed and crouched, utterly silent as she grabbed the sword that she hid under her bed. She moved towards the end of her bed, peeking over the edge of it carefully before ducking down. She couldn't see anyone yet, but she felt them clear as day. Her mind raced with the implications that someone had entered her domain, feeling rage boil her blood. She was not going to be captured without a fight, knowing it was she the intruder was after. She regulated her breathing and closed her eyes, trying to pinpoint where the person was but had no such luck. Cursing mentally to herself, she waited in silence, her breathing almost non-existent.

Lan looked around then looked to the bed, something was off about the way it was, he was sure some one in this house would be in charge of keeping the bed made, it looked like some one had been there. He took out his short sword as he went over carefully, he was sure she could fend for her self, he had to not kill her. He crawled close, waiting for any attack she would make.

Trianna could feel him creeping closer but she held her ground, waiting for the right moment. She heard the slide of metal against leather and she focused on the sound. Standing up quickly, she brandished her sword, attempting to cut the man she saw. She was surprised at his appearance, but didn't focus on it as she swung in a precise manner. Her mind raced with wonder as to why he had come for her. It made no sense. If he got his hands on her, he would be tracked down like the dog he was and murdered on sight. And it wasn't a matter of it, but a matter of when. Trianna kept her face devoid of emotion as she hoped her attack aimed true and she drew blood.

Lan lifted his sword up to block it easily, his other hand grabbed at her free hand in an attempt to twist it behind her. He was trying not to hurt her, he would have to drug her to get her out, but he couldn't do it while she was trying to kill him, he had to get the sword away from her.

Seeing how he blocked her attack, she must have been more drained than she first thought. It wasn't enough that she hadn't few for a few weeks, but now was the worst time to have skipped on feeding once again. She felt him grab her arm but she kicked out with her leg, hoping to catch him in the shins. She knew what would happen if she didn't keep fighting and her pride stung at the thought of losing to such a man as to kidnap her.

Lan saw the leg coming, he flipped off the bed still holding her hand, this time succeeding and getting her arm behind her. He had a calm expression, as if this was a normal day for him. He'd be damn if one vampire could beat him, at least in his find. He twisted the sword that was blocking her so that the blade was right against her neck, "Don't move please, I'd rather not mark such a face." He said very mono toned.

She made no sound as he got her where he wanted her, though she was pissed as hell. Her face was utterly devoid of emotion, though her eyes sparked with restraint. The press of steel against her throat did not frighten her in the least, nor did it deter her from speaking, all venom and dripping with sarcasm.

"Would you mind playing outside? I'm a little too busy to be kidnapped. Perhaps you should go down to the village and find yourself a nice girl to warm your bed for the night because, despite my pretty face, yours is hardly attractive."

She was a damn good liar when she wanted to be. She found him devastating, completely enthralling. If his voice had held some semblance of emotion, she might have thought it lovely. His scent engulfed her but she chose to ignore it. Hell, the man was kidnapping her, after all. She had full control over her breathing and tried to block out the scent, but it reached her still. She did not avert her hardened gaze as she remained held by his strong arms.

Lan wanted to laugh a little, but he never gave off any emotion during a job. He pulled a needle from under his sleeve and placed it in her neck. It was laced with a paralyzing poison, it would last long enough to get her out and tie her. He just had to hold her till it took affect. He was watching her waiting for her to be unable to move."Sorry lady, your not my type."

"Really? Cause you're my type in that I hope I get to kill you.."

She spat, not even wincing when the needle pierced her skin. She felt the poison snake its way through her systems and she grit her teeth, wishing she could pull it from her blood. But it was impossibly and something she couldn't fight against. Slowly, she felt her fingers and toes go numb before the numbness spread up her legs and arms. Soon she couldn't move her body and swallowed, barely able to do that. She couldn't believe she was really going to be kidnapped. It was just...unreal. But she wasn't going to give up. Even if he took her, the poison would wear off and she could get something to drink...and then she'd find her revenge.

Lan took her in his arms, taking her sword from her and decided to take it with him. He didn't have much time left. Lan went to the window with her and took out a flash light, giving the signal, fallowed by an explosion on the other side, perfect distraction for him to escape. He leaped out of the window with her, running out to the woods, to safety. He ran with her till they got to a camp full of his kind, there he tied her up properly, just her legs so she could walk were untied. One of the men came over to look over her with a smirk, speaking to Lan.

"Good job, I think me and my men can take it from here, let us take care of this girl." He said, he hand about to touch her when Lan growled at him and snared, making the man back away.

"I wouldn't trust you or your men. I'll take her my self, make sure she'd unharmed, in one piece and undamaged!" He glared at them, his eyes seeming bright red, almost like he was ready to turn any moment now. They backed away more, they weren't about to mess with him, still they questioned him.

"She's just a vampire, what does it matter what happens to her along the way?" Lan not answering as he figured the poison would be wearing off by now.

The limpness of her body and the numbness made her panicky, but it wasn't something she could do anything about, especially when he picked her up and removed her sword from her grasp and kept it for himself. She wanted to bite him and tell him to put it back where it belonged, but no, she could barely speak. She saw him remove a flash light and give some sort of signal, hearing an explosion but not able to feel the ripple effect of it. She watched him take them through the woods and to a small encampment where he proceeded to tie her up. Her legs were free, but it was pointless at the moment since she couldn't move. She noticed a man come over towards her and a she kept her face expressionless though her eyes promised certain death if he touched her. Even if she couldn't move at the moment...when she could, there would be hell to pay. She saw his hand inch forward, a low growl threatening to spill out before she heard the man who had kidnapped her growl and snarl at him, causing the man to backpedal. Surprise and confusion flashed across her eyes as she looked at him as best she could.

She could feel sensation returning to her legs and she grinned, the man not far enough away to stop her from moving if she so chose. She watched him glare at the others, and she wanted so much to tear their throats open. Werewolves, disgusting. She moved her foot in the slightest, feeling the sensation through the whole of her leg and she grinned like a cat with all the cream. She didn't hesitate as she brought her foot up and slammed the wolf in the groin.

"Because I'm a royal, you bastard, and will not hesitate to retaliate against mongrels."

Her voice was as cold as ice and just as sharp as an axe, even with her lazy but pleased expression as he howled out.

The others were going towards her, ready to attack her for attack one of their own before Lan growled at them again, "I said stay back! She is to be unharmed!" They looked at him, almost looking as if they were betrayed, not under stand why he was defending the vampire from being harmed. Once of them finally saying something, "She's a vampire, she's lower then the insects! We should just show her who rules around here!" Lan sighed as he grabbed her by her hand ties, beginning to leave the camp.

He then turned to them, "I Would say it's you with the thought you have in your heads." His eyes going back to the vampire, realizing she shouldn't be taken lightly. He spoke softly to her, his voice seeming to have some emotion in it again, " I'm not gonna hurt you, I'll get you there in one piece and I'm sure there will be some deal releasing you back."

She bared her teeth at them, long and sharp as they extended, but she didn't growl or show any more emotion than that. Baring her teeth was enough to satisfy her. She slowly closed her mouth when the kidnapper spoke, causing her to tip her head in confusion. Why the hell was he protecting her? She didn't need it. She felt herself get lifted to her feet and pulled away from the others, licking her lips at them like they were to be her next meal. And she hoped she could take a bite out of them. Listening to the words of her kidnapper, she snorted in the slightest.

"You have already signed my death warrant. Don't try to do me any more favors or try to think there will be a deal..."

She murmured softly with an edge of steel to it. She was highly prized amongst vampires and an heir to the throne. They may not have known that since very few knew, but whoever had ordered her kidnapping would want her heart on a platter as well.

Lan shook his head, not wanting to believe it, "No I've been told you will be used to come to a treaty, why else would they want you alive?" He put her down, figuring she wouldn't want to be carried, " I most admit, I haven't had as much fun with a vampire before as I did with you." He then looked at her face closely, "Are you hungry? I would rather not have you starve on the way."

"To kill me themselves. A treaty?"

She really wanted to laugh. She honestly did, but she kept the urge at bay as she watched him. It was absurd to think that some treaty would be formed because of her kidnapping. Her brother loved her, yes, but he wouldn't sign any treaty because of her. He would kill the people responsible and then think of signing a treaty. Other than that, they were screwed out of any negotiations. Her feet touched the ground, glad he wasn't touching her any more. She shrugged lightly at his words, not really caring either way. He was handsome enough, but she wouldn't say that him kidnapping her qualified as "fun." She was just glad she had been able to kick that flee-bitten worm who had dared to touch her. Hearing his question, she gave him a pointed stare.

"I highly doubt you know what you are asking me and therefore, I shall decline."

Lan looked at her then the ground placing his hands on it, "Well I know your kind drinks blood if that's what you're saying. Although I can't provide you with human blood because they are no where near here if you don't mind deers blood we're fine." He then put his ear against the ground and closed his eyes, " Nothing but animals out there, even my people seem to have left." He stood up and smirked, "Guess we're alone, how romantic isn't it?" he said jokingly.

"Stop trying to make nice with me, you mongrel."

She snapped, wanting to cross her arms but he had tied her arms behind her back. She glared off in the other direction, away from his face as she listened to the animals walking about. She hardly drank animal blood, her family having invented the wonderful blood wine, which was synthetic blood that tasted like the real thing, only much sweeter or sour depending on what someone might want. She looked at the werewolf and just rolled her eyes. She didn't like that her expression control was draining around him. He was kind of sweet when he joked like that, but still, it didn't mean she was going to try and get to know him. He had kidnapped her, for christ sake's!

Lan sat down looking at her, "I'm hardly trying to be nice, I would get nothing from that. I have no reason to act like any thing when I'm out of battle and when I'm away from the others. Emotions only show weakness when around others. I don't have to worry about you because chances are I'll never see you ever again once I finish my mission. I'll finally have enough money to leave this land behind me, to live far away from all of you." He of course didn't just mean Vampires, he meant werewolves as well.

"Well aren't you a bloody coward.."

She muttered, practically hissing the words at him as she stepped a few feet away from him and looked around. She felt the wind tug at her clothes and her short hair as she stood there. She listened to all the sounds that surrounded her, focusing on the forest rather than the rest of her kidnapper's words. It was easier that way, considering she was getting angry, and she never got angry.

"I'm glad I can solve all your little problems. And I'm glad you can sleep at night knowing you gave up someone's life so you could make money and flee with your tail between your legs."

Lan looked at her and sighed sadly, "Maybe you wouldn't under stand but I don't have people protecting me all the time. You don't understand what it's like killing just to get by every moment of your life. I'm not proud of what I do, I wish I had some other choice but it's in my blood. I was raised to kill. Now I just want to live in peace, I want to live off the land and forget my past." He got up and looked at her, "Only having the nightmares to care about."

"And you don't know what it's like living in a gilded cage where your whole life is planned out for you. You can't even take a breath without someone telling you when and where. So spare me, I grew up on politics which is more gruesome than slinking through the woods. You get killed in your bed rather than face to face."

She murmured. She didn't care. She had no sympathy for a bastard who would take the easy way out. She sat down on the ground, crossing her legs and tipping her head back in the slightest, her eyes closed as she slipped into a meditative state. She would still be able to respond to him when necessary, but she was basically done talking and she needed to preserve the energy she had left in her body. She could smell the animals near by and the scent of their flesh and blood was beginning to make her gums ache.

Lan sighed, "I guess it's no use, a person will always believe their situation is worse then the other simply because its' the only one they know." He then got up and took off his clothing, all except his underwear. He looked at her once last time, "Don't go any where, I don't think you'd be to safe on your own in the state you're in." He then climbed up the tree to easily as his hands grew claws, putting his stuff up high so she wouldn't reach them, " I have to catch some food." He then began to turn into his werewolf form and leaped into the trees to track down some pray.
