You are a young woman who was granted a mysterious ability: you can transform into a magical girl and use special powers to fight the monsters that secretly plague this city. But such power doesn’t come without risks. The monsters can be lethal, and even then the magic used to fight them comes at a cost. Will you thrive? Or will you fall?

Hey everyone. This is an idea I’ve had bouncing around and wanted to give it a shot. You’ll play a magical girl in a world I’ll control. It’ll mostly be free form, but there will be a light system in place. Here are the basics.
Magic
Magic comes in three levels. The first level is light use. Like a fire mage lighting a candle. Or a wind user giving them a gentle breeze. These are very simple, have little impact, and don’t have a cost associated with them.
The second level is a more powerful type of magic. A full on spell. A giant icicle spike to hurl at the enemy or enhancing your muscles to leap thirty feet. For this, your character will have a mana bar. Each spell takes up one mana. When you are out of mana, you can’t cast any spells. Not even light magic.
The final tier is ultimate magic. A massive rift in the earth that swallows the enemy whole before slamming shots. A dozen lightning bolts slamming into a single enemy at once. These are incredible strains on a magical girl’s power and has a cost beyond magic: her social connections.
Relationships
With any main NPCs, the magical girl will have a score determining their relationship from 1-5. These are not necessarily universal in what they determine. For example, a 5 with a best friend signifies someone with immeasurable trust with the magical girl, whereas a 5 with a boyfriend represents a deep love and affection. Bonds can be formed, strengthened, or weakened during the play.
As stated above, ultimate magic costs some of the magical girl’s relationships. One relationship at random with lose one rank. This can also be done to completely refill the mana bar. Otherwise, mana returns at a rate of one mana per day.
