I'm thinking about running a game about running away from psychotic killers. As for what content goes in the game, it depends what the players are comfortable with, but it's worth mentioning that the game is inspired by campy games that have a lot of nudity and graphic violence, so glossing over sexy or gory details leaves something to be desired. Also I'm willing to write scenarios based on stories people have about a potential villain's previous victims. Here's an example from another forum where I'm also attempting to run the game.

Oh, the killings really happened. Grandpa knew some of the men who got killed, and sometimes I listened to him tell it. The house on the island used to belong to one of Grandpa's army buddies, Niles. Niles wasn't the easiest guy to get along with, or so I heard, but something rattled him in his last few weeks. The last anyone heard of him was right before a big storm.

Niles came into money after his deployment because of something he did during deployment. But something about what he did angered something or someone. Whatever it was came to take vengeance, or maybe it or they wanted something back. But it's not limited to guilty. Whatever it is could have been sold off and ended up in homes anywhere in the community.

A few days after the storm, someone went to check on him, and they found footprints near broken window. The entire house had been ransacked, they said no piece of furniture was left intact. Niles was found first. He was lying in a hall with his chest hacked nearly in two, still clutching his rifle. They say he missed, but Grandpa says that Niles had been a crack-shot. Niles' wife was found in a bedroom. She was laying on the bed with her hands folded together, and her head lain on top of her hands. The closet door had been smashed open, and a knife had been left there.

The second murder came a few months later; one of Niles' business partners, Dwight, and his wife, returned home one night to see the door had been kicked in. They called the police, but when the police got there, they found house was ransacked and the couple laid out in the living room, alongside the baby sitter. The children were missing and the sitter, and Dwight's wife had been stabbed and decapitated. But Dwight was found bruised and split open from neck to groin. They never found his tongue.

That was when worry started to creep through the town. But the investigations ran cold for weeks. No one knew who would be next. In the end it was a reporter named Marshal who was the next victim. One night he called the police from the side of Orchard Road, he was panicked and managed a frantic cry for help before abandoning the call to run. They found his body an hour later, burning in a field, with his head next to it, his eyes gouged out.

The next killing came only a couple of days later; Winslow, an old friend of Niles and Grandpa, was working late at his book store. Neighbors heard shots fired, but when they got there they found a ransacked shop and Winslow's body, cleaved open. His shotgun was nearby, and Grandpa always said it was still smoking.

It was a few days later that the coroner matched some mud from Marshal's body to the island. The Sheriff and his men went back to search Niles' house. They found one of the boats was missing, and went in armed. There was fight there, and a fire got started. One of Grandpa's friends on the force swore they found a shrine in a little cave behind a cellar wall. The killer ran, but the cops were not about to let him escape, and laid down heavy fire. They fell into the mud, and stumbled into the water, and never came out. The coast guard searched for weeks before giving up. No one ever really lived in the old house again. Grandpa always waited until he thought I was asleep before telling the story, but he has told me the house on the island is cursed, and made me swear never to go in. And that's as much as I know about it.

Strictly speaking, you don't HAVE to post a story, we could just run with this one... But if you want to, you can submit or PM one to me. Either way, you have two ways to download the book, and you can drop me a character sheet here if you're interested. Looking fo about 5-6 players, but will take as many as I can get.

Expressing interest and reserving a post for a character sheet for later. I'm intrigued

So I think I neglected to mention that I've been working on updating the art style. As of the moment I'm writing this, the dropbox file is in the process of refreshing the changes which include:
All new pictures (mostly converted to vector style, but some new ones also in the vector paint style)
  • Several repeat weapon entries where I realized some weapons could be used with other attributes
  • Possibly a new weapon or two, I can't quite remember
  • Several new alien entries
  • New formatting in the NPC section
  • Someone mentioned that I waited too long to put what knacks do, so I reiterated it in the knacks section.
That's about all I can remember. I don't think anything affects character creation, so redownloading is optional. Link remains the same.

So I don't know if anyone cares, but I thought of another scenario. This one requires one of the characters to be more wealthy, and another that's kind of a druggie.

The richest PC was given the keys to a summer camp called Camp Watershine when the last caretaker died, their aunt. The camp is situated on Gopher Lake, a small inconsequential lake in the Ozarks. Not much can be said about the place except that perhaps there's a little too much meth going around, but that’s fairly common for those little rural towns. Rumor has it that the Army established the camp in 1953 after a plane from Arkansas flew over and dropped something. They wouldn’t say what it was, but divers stayed in the camp while they searched for it. The camp was turned into a children's camp 8 years later when the rich character's family purchased it. A few disappearances occurred over 10 years ago according to local legend. The legend is mostly kept going by people who are overly fond of conspiracy. The disappearances stopped after the summer camp was shut down.

I could be very interested if there was any chance of MxM.
Fair warning, I'm not especially good at writing MxM but I'm open to allowing other players to engage that sort of romance. Either way, I feel like slasher horror could use at least 6 players. I'd like enough players to eke out some of the stereotypes at least, and be a fairly even gender mix.
