Rachel Grayson, or rather Robin, was kneeling on the edge of one of Gotham City's many tall buildings looking out over the city streets. She was in a new suit for the first time since she had become Robin 5 years ago. Unlike her original suit which left her legs bare, she now wore tight fitting green pants, and her red top had more of a skirt design to it. The only other major change to the suit was that her cape was now black with a yellow lining instead of just yellow. Now that she was 16 she felt it was time for a change from the old, to her new one and tonight she would be testing it out. Well that was if the criminals would come out to play, of course if she knew Gotham City that wouldn't be a problem. Tonight was like any other patrol with her mentor, Batman, they would wait for something to happen or the Commissioner called them. Robin just hoped someone like The Joker or Two-face didn't break out of Arkham again, they were at the very bottom of her list of criminals to face.

She briefly glanced at Batman, as she remembered the past 5 years she had spend as his apprentice. The man was like a father to her, but one that understood that she could take care of herself when needed. But he was always there when she needed him most, no matter what. To her, he was indestructible and untouchable, no matter what they had to got through or fight she had never seen Batman seriously hurt. With a small smile she turned her attention back out to the city and watched for any signs of crime or the Bat-signal to light up the sky. As she watched the lights far below them she pushed a strand of hair out of her face then tugged slightly at her new cape, it fit slightly different then her old one and she wasn't quite used to it yet.

It was a warm night, the beginning of summer was finally showing in Gotham City as the wing picked up ever so slightly. The night was still young and most criminals were scared of the pair sitting or standing on the roof tops. Of course they were also dumb and thought that if the Bat-signal wasn't on Batman and his sidekick weren't out looking for them. How wrong they were Robin mused as she gave a small laugh to herself. She knew Batman wouldn't find it funny, not would he approve of her feeling that way either. So with a sigh she pushed the thought aside and resumed her watch. She was nearly ready to move on to another roof top to find a better vantage point. The Narrows, East End, or the Docks were usually the best place to find the Mob or one of the many Gangs doing something illegal. With a small sigh she shifted the way she was kneeling to a more comfortable spot and scanned the street below one more time. She would give it another few minutes before she suggested they find a new spot.
