Name: Daphnaeae
Age: just like a tree, very slowly, which means they can live anywhere from a few hundred years to a few thousand. (Appearance wise tho early 20’s)
Race and Information: Dryad
considered minor and mortal goddesses
exceptionally long life spans
They are deeply and supernaturally connected to the trees they call home
They are limited to the space of the tree or the forest the tree grows in
If the tree dies, then the dryad could possibly die along with it
which is a tragic vulnerability that is acknowledged by the gods.
But if a mortal causes the death of a Dryad, then that mortal is usually punished by goddess Artemis
unless he or she has attempted to make some form of peace with or appease the Dryad and Goddess Artemis
The Dryads mischievously and fiercely protect their homes as well, and mortals would do well to not act foolishly, or recklessly around any tree inhabited or protected by a Dryad.
They are also considered to be very shy creatures
except around the goddess Artemis, who was known to be a good friend to most nymphs.
Characteristics
Pin on Gwent
Physical description
Daphnaeae has a small and dainty structure (Five Foot Five Inches) hair is considered to be various shades of brown and is often dreadlocked (waist length with vines, flowers and leaves are styled into the strands) soft, light brown eyes that have tinges of green around edges of the pupils. Her complexion is flawless, yet entirely green. Daphnaeae is a naturalist meaning the Dryad woman is completely naked except for maybe a few (vines wrapped around both hands like gloves, vines around both forearms and a vine around her waist like a belt) Always seen carrying a bow and arrows.
Mental traits (The relation between dryads and magic might be very strong)
Daphaneae is a young Dryad woman who is the guardian of The Forest ”Pialithas.” This mysterious forest is the home to many mythical creatures who seek protection. The Dryads have been protecting the forest for years and years that no human dare to enter the forest, expect for one day a new prince of the land goes out to explore his new founded kingdom.
Upon entering the forest strange things happen his man start to slowly disappear, random traps appear from no where and in the shadows of trees a figure could be seen. Is she friend or foe
And this new king what will he do with this creature?
(OOC: Information was gathered from various sights and I don't take any credit for facts in place nor the photo is mine all credit goes to the drawer)
