A gentle breeze blew through the night as the sun concluded its descent below the horizon. The street below was bathed in darkness in the split second before the streetlights snapped on, displaying a more or less clean road. It was bare of homes save for one, a fairly large mansion positioned at the end of the street with a gated driveway separating the two. The house was in excellent condition for it's age, dating back to the early years of the United States, kept up at the behest of it's owner and occupier, the enigmatic Sean Dionysus. At the moment he was inside, rising as he normally did just after dark, a secret he kept from all outsiders. It was for good reason, considering that if word got out he was in actuality a vampire, well, things might have to get a tad messy. The only ones that knew of his secret were those that lived with him, a small gathering of specially selected women he kept as servants and slaves.
Sean was greeted by one such girl, a young fair-haired one who was fairly new and offered her neck to him with a soft "Good evening, my Lord." With an approving chuckle he sank his fangs into her neck, precisely where he had a week before for the first time with this young lovely. He drank of her blood for but a moment, never wishing to take too much from his pets, and dismissed her with a wave of his hand. The coffin lid slid shut as he left the room, lowering back into the floor so that the protective steel could slide in place over it. An outside noise caught his attention, though he dismissed it as something moving about until another girl with raven black hair brought word to him that someone was at the door. Intrigued Sean descended the old yet sturdy main staircase and went to join the one who had answered the door to see who it was.
