Alex opened the door to the bar, music and air conditioning washing over him as he stepped inside. It was early on a July Friday evening so the bar wasn't super crowded. It also didn't help that there was some sort of festival going on down the road, pulling even more people away. Not that he minded really. It had been a long week at work and he just wanted some drinks and someone else to cook for him for once. He made his way up to the bar, picking one of the many open seats. There were seven people when normally at this time there could be upwards of twenty. A group of four friends was down at the end, watching whatever sport was on the tv and arguing about the most recent play. A few seats down from his were two girls and a guy. The girls were attractive but he didn't pay them much attention. He wasn't here to flirt or pick anyone up.

Not that he couldn't if he wanted to. Usually his bright red hair was enough to cause them to swoon. If that didn't do it, he used either his bright blue eyes or chiseled 6'2" frame. No matter what, he had no problem picking up women. But he wasn't in the mood for it tonight. His new job was killer and he just wanted to unwind a bit.

The bartender came over and he quickly ordered a beer. One of the local ales that the area was known for. He was living here, might as well support the local small businesses. When the man left to get his drink Alex pulled out his phone, idly scrolling through the news of the day as he looked over the menu, trying to decide what burger he wanted. He thanked the man when his beer appeared in front of him and he reached out to take a sip. It wasn't bad. He might find a case in the market and bring it home to enjoy later.

He quickly ordered their southwest burger, craving bacon and barbeque sauce right now. That out of the way he went back to his phone. Not much was happening at the moment but he had nothing better to do so he kept scrolling.

It was still too early for the bar to be relatively busy, but Karlie and Christine decided to head out anyways. They had nothing better to do for the rest of the night and their partying days were supposed to be over. They didn't usually like staying out late, but it had been a long few weeks and they needed something to relax. Christine recommended a little bar downtown that was known for good beers and a comfortable environment so after dressing up at Karlie's house they took an Uber to the bar.

Christine scowled as they walked in. "God, it's practically empty," she said. She looked around, deciding their best bet for an interesting night was to sit at the bar and keep an eye out for anyone that came by. She picked a seat and ordered drinks as Karlie sat next to her. The drinks came quickly and were down almost as quickly. They chatted about the same things they always did, their jobs, who was having a kid, whose kids are dicks and who's the worst parent, their most recent relationship or goals as far as men went. But it was all so repetitive. About 20 minutes after they sat down, a man walked in and nearly bee-lined to them, sitting directly next to Christine.

"Good evening, ladies." His breath already reeked of liquor and it was clear that this man knew nothing of boundaries. Christine rolled her eyes. She had dealt with guys like these since she was 16 and was sick of trying to be nice. "Can I help you?" she asked, her distaste for him clear on his face.

"I'm sure the both of you could help me out," he said with a grin. Karlie shivered, clearly uncomfortable. Suddenly the door opened and an attractive man walked in, sitting a little ways down at the bar. She immediately jumped up, hurrying over to the man and planting a kiss on the cheek. She was a pretty open person but the alcohol definitely made this easier. "There you are honey! Christine and I were just starting to think you had gotten lost!" she said loudly. She leaned into his ear then, whispering, "Please just go along with it. This guy is being a total creep and you're our only chance to get rid of him quick."

Christine looked over at them, half grateful to Karlie and half afraid that she might leave her with this guy. She looked to the man, silently begging him to help them.

Alex was shocked when one of the girls walked over and kissed him, talking about how excited she was to see him. That shock was quickly replaced by understanding when she whispered into his ear. He looked over and saw the man and nodded and smiled. "I'm sorry baby. Work was just killer today. And then traffic." He pulled the chair next to him out so she could sit down.

He finally got a good look at them and had to admit that they were both very attractive. He had no problem helping them out. Especially if he got their numbers at the end of the night.

"How was work today? I'm sorry I didn't text you. I was in meetings all day."

The relief was visible in Karlie as she relaxed beside him, slipping into the seat. "Oh it's alright, I know it's been a long week," she said, slipping an arm over his shoulders and massaging his shoulder a little. She then looked over to Christine, who was still in obvious distress. "Christine! Get over here and meet my boyfriend!" She waved her over, tugging out the seat next to her, then turning back to the man. "Thank you so much for helping us. What was your name?"

Christine hopped out of her chair and slid into the seat next to Karlie, giving one last scowl to the man that had been hitting on them. She then turned her attention to their saving grace and smiled. As he and Karlie spoke, she ordered another round of drinks for the three of them. This was exactly the kind of opportunity that she had been hoping for tonight. Even if neither of them went home with him, Christine and Karlie still got to spend their night getting fucked up with an extremely attractive man who, as a bonus, doesn't seem to be a creep.

"Alex," he said quietly. He smiled warmly at the first girl as she cuddles up to him. Her equally as cute friend walks over, relief plain on her face as she slid in on the other side of him. "And no worries. No one should have to worry about drunks creeps when they're out at the bar."

The drunk guy was scowling at him, obviously thinking that he was stealing his conquest. Which wasn't technically to far off the mark. Alex just didn't plan on going home with either of these women tonight. But he could go out of his way to help them out of a sticky situation.

"So how did you get mixed up with him," he asked, taking a sip of his beer.

Christine groaned and rolled her eyes. "Not even an invitation with this guy. He literally just walked in and started hitting on us- I think he's been drinking since noon," she said. She picked up her drink and took a long pull before setting it back down and looking at Alex, a twinge of jealousy seeing Karlie so close to him. Of course, she didn't necessarily have the right to be jealous but she wouldn't mind being the one on his arm.

Karlie listened quietly, nodding, without looking at her drink. She hadn't necessarily come out looking for a man, more to just get fucked up and forget about her life for a while, but this guy could also prove to be quite the distraction. "He's definitely already plastered," she agreed. "Thanks again for helping us, I don't know how else we could have gotten out of that. Creeps like that will follow you home, ya know?" She sighed and leaned against Alex.

"That's the dangers of going out on a Friday night," he said as he glanced over again. The guy looked like he was pouting, staring into his beer. Alex didn't feel sorry for him. It wasn't that hard to not get hammered and actually have women reply to you favorably. "Yeah. Though I've never been a creep like that. I'm just here to chill, not cause any trouble." He nodded at the bartender as the burger arrived.

"Did you girls get a chance to order anything to eat," he asked, looking at the both of them before munching on a few of his fries.

Christine sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "Yeah, no shit," she said, reconsidering her night. She had been excited before to go out, but with Karlie hanging off of this guy, and the creep setting her mood off, she kind of just wanted to go home. She shifted in her seat, looking at the man again. He did seem to be pretty laid back about all this. There was that to account for tonight. She sighed and took a drink, careful to set the glass down without being too loud.

Karlie smiled at him, nodding along as he spoke. She was clearly engaged with him, so much so that she jumped a little when the bartender set his plate down. She smiled at him then and shook her head. "We hadn't really considered dinner, but I could probably go for an appetizer or something," she said with a slight blush. Christine, hoping the man's focus was on Karlie, rolled her eyes. Karlie was definitely trying too hard with the guy.

"Have some of my fries while you wait," he offered to both of them. He rarely ate all the fries. So he picked up the burger and took a bite, giving both of them a chance to grab them if they wanted. "So what brings you out today," he asked after he had swallowed and put his burger down. He might as well chat with them as long as they're sitting close to him.

Karlie nodded, taking one and smiling at him. She opened her mouth to speak, but Christine interrupted. "We were definitely looking to get fucked up. Obviously drink a bit, maybe find someone to smoke with. Maybe even find a lucky guy to take us home," she said, giving him a wink before picking up her drink again. Karlie, on the other side of him, looked fairly flustered, let go of his arm and picked up her drink instead. Christine gave her a smile and looked back at Alex. "Thanks for the offer though hon." She waved the bartender over, ordering a dish of fries for herself and Karlie, then took one of Alex's. "Other than saving pretty girls from creepy guys, what are you doing here?"

He was a bit disappointed by the answer. These girls seemed pretty chill. But they were looking for something that he wasn't. "I'm just really here to grab a bite to eat and chill. Not looking to really do anything wild." He was planning on having two beers and finish his burger before he bounced. Nothing more than that. He assumed that that would turn them off but he didn't really care. He wasn't looking to impress anyone or hook up with anyone. No matter how hot they were.

Karlie sighed, letting go of his arm and turning to the fries as the bartender set them down. She gave him a cursory glance, as if reviewing him as a backup for tonight, then glanced over at Christine, who didn't seem near as phased by this. Christine, in fact, smiled and nodded. "I wish I had your self control." She took a sip of her drink, looking down the bar at the other patrons. "Karlie and I have had a hell of a week though, and I guess just figured we could relive our 20s a little." Christine gave him a soft sigh and set her drink down, turning again to look between him and Karlie with a sarcastic laugh. "So much for that I suppose."

"Don't let me ruin your fun," he said. "I'm sure there are plenty of guys out there who'd go out and have some fun with you. I'm just tired from the long week and was planning on calling it a day early." He finished his beer and ordered a second one. He felt bad that he wasn't the guy that they were looking for at the moment. But his couch was calling to him and he couldn't resist that siren song. "I think there is a dance club around here somewhere. You may have more luck there if you're looking for a guy to have fun with. I know there will be plenty guys trying to get your attention."

He wasn't much of a club goer himself. He'd rather have a low key bar night with some friends. But he tried his best not to judge those who like the pounding music, cramped space, and flashing lights.

Karlie had already finished her drink and her eyes wandered the room. He was definitely right- there was no one else of interest here, and he clearly wasn't going to change his mind. She looked over at Christine, gesturing to leave with a plead written on her face. Christine frowned and shook her head, picking up her drink again and focusing on Alex. "Well... you might be able to change our minds about a wild night, hm?" She gave him a clever smile and took a drink then set the glass down, tracing her finger around the rim of the glass.

"I'm not sure what you mean," he said slowly. "My idea of a wild night tonight is some movies on my couch and maybe some more alcohol." He didn't like where this conversation was heading so he signalled for his check. "You ladies should enjoy your night though. Don't let my boring ass stop you."

"Hmm that sounds like it could be fun," Christine said, placing her hand on his arm. She pretended not to see the little wave for his check, instead settling further into her seat and taking another drink. "I don't know about Karlie, but we could always buy a bottle and head back, watch a movie..." She let her voice trail off, smiling up at him. Karlie watched all this with disinterest, just pulling out her phone to order an Uber. She wiggled the phone at Christine, who ignored it, keeping her eyes on Alex.

(i don't want this to be harassment per se but I figured at least one of the girls would push him pretty far on this...)

"You should go out with your friend," he said, gently but firmly removing her hand from his arm. "I promise I won't be nearly as much fun as you seem to want." His tone implied that he wasn't changing his mind and neither girl was going to go home with him.

The check arrived and he slid his card in the little book, handing it back to the bartender and standing up. "I hope you two have a great evening and I might see you around." He signed the check and walked out, glad to have escaped. He walked home, trying to not think about the girls as he did.

Back at the bar, the bartender looked at them with a strange look. He liked Alex and enjoyed when the man came in and chatted. And these two girls drove him away with their pushiness. He listened as they made their plans before signalling he was going on his break and followed them. They were going to get a ride awakening and Alex was going to get a present later.

Christine sighed and rolled her eyes, finishing off her drink. "Your call, bud." She watched him walk out, ignoring Karlie's 'I told you so' look, then paid for their drinks and stood to leave. "Well... the club I guess?" Karlie smirked and agreed, leading Christine out the door. Without a glance over their shoulder, they headed down the street toward the club that Alex had mentioned, the two of them wobbling slightly on their heels.

The bartender followed them from a distance. As he did he changed his appearance, to be more appealing to them. He'd been around for a while and wasn't a fan of girls who wasted their lives frivolously. He wanted to teach them a lesson. And since Alex was still single and worked so hard, he figured that these two lovely ladies would be ideal playthings for him. He finished his changes, looking nothing like the man from the bar. He was now 6 inches taller with bleach blonde hair and a chiseled jaw.

He arrived at the club after them, keeping his eyes open for them. He found the first one at the bar. It was the girl Karlie. He sauntered over to her, putting himself close. "Hi," he said, flashing a white smile.

Karlie ignored the man for a moment while she took her and Christine's drinks and thanked the bartender, then turned to him, skeptical. Once she saw him, though, she gave him a wide smile and shifted to expose herself a bit further to him. "Hey there," she said, not hesitating to look him up and down.

As soon as Christine came out of the bathroom she spotted the man talking to Karlie. Her face flared hot with jealousy but she decided to sit and wait for a moment. She considered ordering a drink while she waited, then remembered that Karlie had already ordered both of them. Christine sighed and leaned against the bar, watching her laugh at some shitty joke he probably told.

He grinned down at her, seeing the distain and then interest flash across her face. "I haven't seen you here before," he said, taking his one drink from the bartender. It was weak, causing them to need to sell more to get everyone to the drunken level they wanted.

"Are you from the South? Cause you're the only ten I see." It was a miserablely shitty pick up line but he wanted to see if she was interested in more than just the superficial.

Karlie laughed and shook her head. "You're cute, but not that cute," she said, shifting away slightly. "Anyways, I haven't... Been here in a while." She took a drink, glancing toward the bathroom hoping to see Christine.

Christine watched Karlie's interest fade and cocked her head. The guy was pretty attractive, and that was about all Karlie needed so what could he have said? She pushed herself from the edge of the bar and sauntered back to Karlie, sliding up next to her and picking up her drink. "Hey there hon, sorry it took me a minute," she said with a toss of her hair.

And there was girl number two. "Are you girls looking to have a good time," he asked, flashing what looked like tabs of acid. "We could enjoy the music even more with this stuff." He had to get them a little fucked up so he could escort them out of here and prepare them for the next phase of their lives. As sex slaves to Alex.

Christine and Karlie both grinned and reached out, taking a tab each. They eyed it for a moment, then placed it on their tongues, letting it dissolve. Christine took a few sips from her drink then set it down, looking the man up and down. "You definitely look like you know how to have fun," she said, her vision already blurring slightly. Karlie glanced between the two of them and smiled, finishing her drink.

"I know how to have a lot of fun," he said as he put a tab on his own tongue. He didn't want them to get suspicious if he refused to take his own drugs. It didn't affect him in the least, being an all powerful immortal and all. But he could see the drugs starting to affect them. "Let's go dance," he said, taking them by the hands and dragging them out onto the dance floor. The music was pumping and the lights were flashing, giving them quite a show. The last things they'd see as free women would be the writhing bodies of their fellow club goers.

As the drugs took hold he pulled them both close and vanished, leaving a hole in the crowd that was soon filled by distracted dancers. He had to get them prepared for their new lives.
