It was not as uncommon as many thought for the Gods to roam throughout the earth and mingle with humans. But most of them stayed far away from the humans and decided it was best if they looked over them. That was just it. This was the beginning of time for the human race. They had been awake and worshiping certain Gods for ages and only a handful of Gods lived amongst the humans.

In the vastness of the forest, in the large opening where longhouses were set up and a shrine was placed in the middle. A goddess lived amongst humans. She sat in the golden throne of the shrine that was stationed outside of the long houses. The long houses made circles around her and little windows were made so the children could stare out upon the glowing Goddess.

She stared into the distance as the warriors danced around trying to grab there food and offerings for the Goddess. Yet the woman of the tribe were not fond of the Goddess like the men and children were. They envied her and despised her for her beauty and the looks the men gave her. But the goddess was not amused at the long houses made out of clay.

Her hair was long and reached the floor and made puddles in her lap. It was black like the feathers of a raven and the night sky. Her eyes were a dazzling white and glowed like the stars of the sky. Her skin was pale and her features were very defined and beautiful. Her brows were arched in perfect half circles above her glowing white eyes. Her eye lashes were long and seemed feathery and soft. Her skin was close to the color of her eyes and had a vibrant glow around it's surface. Her lips were full and only had a slightest pink color to them. Her cheek bones were high arched and her body was thin and curvy and beautiful beneath the hide of the black buffalo dress. It had many feathers and tassels and all sorts of designs hanging from it. This Goddess that looked beautiful and ageless let her snow white shoulders and her neck be visible. There was a white glowing necklace that wrapped around her neck and had a glowing white star hanging from it loosely. She still very still like a statue. She didn't even breath. Her white wings were folded against her back and the feathers ruffled every now and then from the breeze. But still she did not move even when some of the elder women, whom respected her instead of envied her and hated her like the foolish young ones, said their chants and prayers and their offerings at her feet. This was the Goddess Abigor. The Goddess of Darkness and betrothed to the God of Light. At least, all the people believed that the God of Light and Goddess of Darkness belonged together.

Though with all this worship and leaving amongst the humans. Still, she couldn't help but feel she didn't to be here and there was something tugging on her soul to keep her perfectly still. Like someone or something was coming to mingle with her soul.

Birds. Some land animals. Emptiness. Sean saw little more than this as he scanned the horizon. A brief wind blew past him, a gently gust, sufficient to only make his hair wave like grass on the ground. Auburn that hair was colored, a remarkable hue that had no match to it in the little village or in any they had seen. Some called it special, to be so lovely. Some called it profane, to be so different. Sean called it hair, to be what it was. A glance back at his companion told that there was nothing and he received a nod in reply. Sean walked back, rejoining him and together they returned.

Sean was rather simple, average one might say. Certainly no better looking than the best of the warriors in the tribe. But he did do his job well. Sean usually scouted their territory, making sure there was nothing set to endanger them, though he also went out with the hunters and, sometimes, out to battle. But there was not much fighting between tribes lately, and Sean's... talents in that respect were not of much use to them now. He had something about him, a sort of cold dispassion that crept over him in battle. And though he fought far less than the others, those he did were never to breathe again. Sean took no prisoners, gave no quarter, and many whispered of his ruthlessness as frightening. But, then, they would see the quiet, thoughtful, peaceful Sean and forget all about those worries.

He glanced up as they passed nearby the throne of the Goddess Abigor. That silent, motionless Goddess. Often he wondered if she really was living, only her features gave any impression that she was. It was strange to bow before and offer to something which could very well be a statue. But still he inclined his head in a slight bow, respectful as always, as he looked her over once more, scrutinizing her features for some sign of movement.

The goddess Abigor, since she had come to earth, had not moved from the spot that was set for her from these people. But there was something strange about this small cluster of people that made her twitch every now and then. It was when she heard the voices of the black sheep of the group that she stirred.

Sean, he was the one they deamed the black sheep. His hair was an odd color of brown instead of the regular black, and everyone's skin was a creamy tan with black eyes. It was when he was bowing and paying his respects that it seemed everyone else had gone back to the huts to relax and sleep before the sun was fully down.

Abigor rose to her feet slowly. She was fairly small, only at about 4'11. But she grabbed Sean's wrist before he could turn away. Her body felt like feathers, soft and comforting and warm. The Goddess didn't know why, but her soul flutter when she touched him. Like her soul longed for him. But that was odd for she was betrothed to the God of Light.

"You are the one they call Sean?" Abigor looked up at him. Her eyes did not blink, she did not move even an inch, and she did not breath. She still stood still like a statue. It was like she didn't know how else to behave. Her voice was soft, alluring, but sweet and kind. "Why do they deam you unfit?"

Sean was rising when he heard something. He stopped at first and listened, trying to find the source of the sound. It seemed as if it were right before him, though that could not be right. After all, everyone else had departed and the only one truly left with him was the Goddess herself. No it must have been his imagination, despite what his well trained ears told him. So he stood and began to turn, just when he felt something clasp around his wrist. No, not something. It was... a hand?

In surprise he looked up, gaining an even greater one when he saw the Goddess standing before him. It was strange to be looking down at her form that had always been sitting. Her words piqued his curiosity, however, though he said nothing at first. He was a bit wary, unsure as to what was going on, what game this Goddess was playing with him, if any. "Yes, I am he." he answered softly with a nod. She stood so still it was almost unnerving. "The others?" he said, knowing perfectly what her meaning was. He knew there was plenty that most did not say near him, unknowing that word always reached his ears as well as theirs. But he cared little for this, and so he fulfilled his duties as anyone would.

"I know not, save that they see me as different. But... should you not know this already? Goddess Abigor." He added her name with only a brief pause, remembering who he was actually speaking to. There was no disrespect in his eyes, merely curiosity, though he had felt too much had been said already. It wasn't a subject spoken of, and he was glad to let it be. It baffled him why she had suddenly moved and taken hold of his arm, yet at the save time he felt relieved. It was like an unsaid prayer answer, though it was merely doing away with the thoughts he had had countless times about the Goddess' statuesque form. But still, there was something in him which leapt when her hand had closed around his wrist, like something was alive inside of here, lying dormant until her touch awakened it.
