The demona tower, it was both and blessing and a curse, an it all depended on who you asked. For many of the demons living in the tower they would claim it as a blessing, why? Because the newest occupant was a person all of the demons had grown to care for. They all cheered her on when it came to her mission to win over their queens hand and favor. They had all helped in their own little way, giving the little mage trips and tricks on how he deal with their hot headed queen.

But Vel? Vel thought the very tower itself was a curse. She was cursed to deal with meddling demons who thought she needed a companion, that she needed a girlfriend to help her. Help her with what, she really had no idea. But the odd little mage had slowly wormed her way into her heart, but she refused to admit it out loud. She refused to admit that the child had won, even if the woman was now allowed to come and go from the tower without dying, she needed to make sure the silly mage had enough gold on her at all times, she couldn't risk the idiot not being able to revive herself if she managed to die in the tower. After all the tower had several defenses that could be tripped or triggered if someone was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"My queen.." Melathia smiled as she slowly made her way over to Vel who was sitting on her throne. The queen grunting slightly as she cracked an eye open to look at her general. "What is it?"

"The generals and I.. well we were wondering if you would allow us to throw a party for Malori, to celebrate the fact that she managed to win you over"

Both eyes shot open as Vel jerked towards the snake "She did not win me over, I am simply doing what needs to be done for the tower!"

"Then why did you hug her good bye this morning before school? An why did you let her know she's welcome back in the tower?"

Bel froze as a cold shiver ran down her spine, her jaw clenching tightly as her nostrils flarred. "That's none of your business!" She snapped as she crossed her arms and turned away from the woman. "Throw the damned party if it means so much to you, but don't expect me to be there!"

Melathia chuckled as she turned to leave making her way to the door. "Of course not, also there's three groups of travellers on their way up. You might as well prepare yourself for battle, the first group looks promising" with that she closed the door as a loud groan filled the air.

Vel didn't want to battle adventures today, she didn't want to waste energy on people who weren't worth her time. She just wanted to relax.. an age wanted Malori to get back from her classes, she wantes to learn more about the little mage, after all if she could figure out why the little mage had so much power she could fill the towers energy reserves and send the girl away and never have to deal with her again, it would be perfect!

She needed to make the little adventure a gift, even if she was going to avoid the party she wanted the little Mage to know she was welcome Iin the tower.

The demona tower, what is it? People at the academy and in the royal court made a hobby of philosophizing about the tower that stood outside of town, tall and black against the sky. A symbol of the end, a great gift from hell, a test from god to be conquered or a token to be worshiped and beloved; ideas were all over the place.
But Malori knew for certain that the tower was a great blessing, for the tower was home to everything she'd ever dreamed of. Not money or fame or glory, but love! The tower was home to her beloved Queen Val, and SHE was allowed to come and go as she liked!

Malori positively beamed as she sat in her chair at the academy. Val hugged her this morning before she left, which lifted her mood incredibly and let her to do surprisingly well on her test. She darts out of the room like an arrow sprung from it's string, and rushes up the staircase of the school building.

Teleportation magic is illegal on school grounds, because it is dangerous to use a lot of the time. But! It is the fastest method for Malori to drop by the tower and eat lunch with her favorite demons and still make it back the her next classes.
A bright white circle on the ground, a flashing light! And the young mage stands in front of the large black stone gate of the tower.

The tower is a maze, and walking through the lower floors always made her remember her first times coming here, when she would get lost with every turn. Now, she knows the floors of the tower better than the walls of her own room.
Up the staircase, and walk through the paining on the third floor to make a shortcut to the fifth floor. She comes across the peculiar guardian known as Melathia, the fearsome lamia that's killed hundreds of adventurers, hand has stopped dozens from ever returning to the tower.

"A party!?" Malori exclaims in bewilderment as Melathia explains the plan to her. "Will Val attend as well?" It filled her heart with you every time she got the say the demon queen's first name out loud.

Cerik looked around for Malori at the academy cafeteria, again, to no avail. He must have gotten used to it by now.

She holds her lunch box in one hand, and a piece of paper in the other as she arrived at the very top of the tower. "She's not here..?" She whispers to herself as she passes by the throne, which was empty, but still smelled warm and sweet. "She's nearby then."

Malori crossed the throne room, and opened the heavy wooden doors of Val's private bedroom, without knocking or announcing herself; an offense she's somehow gotten away with in the past.
"Look!" She yelled. "I scored a 100%"!

Vel was working on her surprise for Malori, she was trying to make the woman a special bracelet that would allow her to contact the tower when ever she needed to. It required a lot of thought and focus, mainly because in a sense Vel was making Malori connected to her, because the tower was connected to Vel. When the door swung open Vel jumped, the bracelet in her hands instantly melting and disappearing in a dark cloud of smoke. Growling she spun around "Do you know what knocking is!?" she snapped as she stormed over to Malori, grabbing the paper as she started to read it over. "This is what you go to school for? This is what their teaching you? this is pathetic and useless, no wonder so few of you humans make it through my tower you're taught to be stupid.. mindless sheep" she muttered as she handed the paper back. "Good job I guess.. but if you would like to learn real magic.. then I could have one of my generals teach you."

Turning around she made her way over to her alter to start working on her small project again, her tail flicking back and forth as shestarted reading over the spell wondering if there was a way she could speed it up. "I'm sure Mal has told you about the plans for a party. You will have to let me know what you like to eat, I know many of the meals we have here are things humans would never eat. Personally I enjoy rabbit stew.. it's a human dish and is hard to come by here. It requires someone to go hunting and many of my general are good at sneaking, but when they attack their prey they don't leave much for cooking later" she chuckled as she started redrawing her markings.

"I guess you will have to tell me about everything a human needs to live.. you will need a room here, you will need more food and water since you need to eat and drink more often then a demon" she muttered as she waved her hand, soon a scroll of paper and a pen appeared in the air and hung in the air "Start talking, it will write down everything you say. Tell it everything you like to eat, everything you like to drink, any supplies you will need for your classes that way you don't to travel from the tower to often, you'll be able to spend as much time here as you want and it will draw less attention if you're not seen going in out often, especially when you're not dying. Speaking off" getting up Vel moved to her bed side table and opened a drawer, pulling out a small bag she walked over to Malori and held it out "Gld.. enough to pay for all the times I killed you and you had to pay those crooks to get revived"

The odd black cloud of smoke bothered Malori none, she'd grown very much so used to this sort of thing by now, in her countless visits to the tower. She was happy to see Queen Val again, so much so that she didn't mind getting yelled at.
"Hey! The lectures are extremely boring and dull! And they don't cover half the stuff that actually comes on these tests..." Malori retorts, voicing the complaints that approximately 99% of students shared.

"Real magic..." Malori repeated softly, staring off into void while her mind raced and imagined several questionable things. She imagined being able to summon chains from the ground and hold her beloved Queen from pushing her away. The things she'd get away with...
"Yes! That sounds amazing!" She speaks with a soft glow on her cheeks and a warm, slightly aroused sensation down to her very core. Malori wasn't exactly diligent as a student, but she was by no means at all a bad student either. Just, perhaps not always the most attentive one.

"Yes, I ran into miss Melathia on my way up." She said, and got distracted as the pen and paper started darting around by themselves as she spoke. It seemed to copy her words exactly.
"I would like to eat: Vegetables And Lasagna! A VAL diet~" She spoke, with a giggle. The pen copied the sound of her giggle onto the paper as well.

But soon after, the smile fades from her face, and the lunch box she carried in her hand fell to the ground, somehow, even her cheeks went paler as she looked at her beloved queen Val with shock.
"Wha... What?" She asks again, as if not believing the words she'd just heard.

"You mean... I can't stay here with you, in this room???" She tried to hide the desperation, but even the magical pen jotted down several question marks at the end of her sentence, showing how deeply this shocked her. In her mind, the two were already ready to sleep together, she'd even mentally prepared herself for Val's ruthless touch that night.

The bag of gold came as something of a surprise to Malori, but she didn't really need much money anymore if she lived as a guest in the tower now. Still, she took the bag gratefully and hung it on her belt.

"That is not a healthy diet, you can just live off of vegetables and lasagne, what about meat? Do humans not eat meat?" Vel asked as she looked over her shoulder at Malori, her tail flicking back and forth in annoyance, the girl wasn't taking her questions seriously. How was she suppose to care for the girl and treat her properly if Malori kept turning everything into a joke. "The Vel diet involves eating raw flesh daily, with a few fruits and vegetables here and there. But I don't think humans can survive on raw meat.. or has you're kind finally evolved enough that raw meat doesn't make you sick?"

"Why would you be staying in my room? I'm required at all hours to be prepared for adventures, they come and go as they please with this tiqer and on the rare chance that they make it to the top I have to walk about and get ready to fight. Plus.. I don't like sharing my bed" growling slightly as she continued to work her magic on the bracelet she was making trying to keep her mind focused so the spell didn't fail a second time.

"Am if you're schooling is so damned horrible wh do you keep going? You clearly don't need it, I've seen your states and my generals have informed me that you're much stronger then you appear, granted I've never had a true fight with you" she muttered as she finished her spell, the bracelet floating down to the altar, picking it up and walking over to Malori she held it out.

"This bracelet will allow you to transport in and out of the tower with easy, now you wont have to talk up and down the stairs every single day. It should save you a bunch of time" she muttered as she rubbed the back of her neck, not sure if the small girl would accept her strange gift.
