I was working on a roleplay with someone back in June and they seem to have disappeared. So I’m opening it up to anyone else interested in developing a story based on the information below.
If your interested please PM with your ideas, I would like to plan a little before we dive into the roleplay. Ideally build up a plot and characters so we don’t have to wing it.
I’m taking inspiration from the following:
• Cyberpunk 2077
• Dues Ex
• Tank Girl
• Judge Dredd
• Alita: Battle Angel
• Robocop
• Terminator
• Blade Runner
• Ghost in a Shell
In a dystopian future where powerful tech companies now rule the world instead of governments and there are no more countries only cities owned by said tech companies. The land between the cities has become barren wasteland due to global warming, pollution and nuclear war.
What remains of the Human race is divided no longer by race, gender, nationality, politics or religion but instead divided by those with cybernetic enhancements and those who are still 100% organic. These enhancements vary from small less obvious implants to full body modifications.
The waring tech companies are always competing to create better modifications and corporate espionage is a constant threat as highly trained and augmented mercenaries are sent from city to city on sabotage missions to weaken their employers rivals.
Among those Humans who have refused to taint their bodies with Cybernetics is a underground Cyber Terrorist group known as the Human Group, an extremist group that sees technology as a threat to humanity and wish to destroy all Cybernetic technology and those who they deem as mechanical abominations.
Cybernetic Bounty Hunters are top of the line cyborgs created by the companies as an insurance policy against any major threats. They are near unstoppable killing machines free to use any force they wish in order to kill their target.
The cities divided by wealth, each city has three levels; The underground is a subterranean district of each city where the poor and criminals dwell. Above this is purgatory, a middle ground for those who have jobs and homes. These people are mostly the work forces of the tech companies. Finally the rich and powerful live atop sky scrapers and in communities that are built on platforms suspended between the sky scrapers to create an almost heavenly environment.
