At Redwood University, the students of Room 108 were monkeying around as they wait for their teacher to arrive. A couple of the football jocks were chatting with their captain of the men's wrestling team. One of the jocks threw a paper ball at one of the student's foreheads and the other students began to laugh. If it was anyone who controlled the class it was the jocks, not the teacher. They seem to have more power than the teacher itself if they were allowed to get away with this. The student that had a paper ball thrown at him didn't look as he just looked down at the ground. No one would dare to double-cross Tyson as he was a big bully. But there were some worse than him. And that of the opposite sex. Who usually hang around with the jocks. And she was there in class. Talking to the other football players.
"Tyson there is no need for that. Treat him like you would treat your other fellow students." Said the teacher as he entered the classroom. Though he was kind of oblivious as Tyson treated his fellow students as doormats so he can use them for his own needs. He was a jock after all, so they had no choice unless they wanted to get hurt badly."Now, class, we have a new student. He had just arrived last week so please make him feel welcome. " He said as he left the class and brought in the new student. "Now take a new seat over there."The teacher pointed to the empty seat at the far end of the class. It was near the girl that was talking with the jocks.
The student's name was Mathas. Highly smart but not very talkative either. He seems to care more about his grades then making friends. Or he rather spends countless hours playing video games than even going on dates with women. Like this new game he was playing, World of Thysia. He probably would play it once he gets home and finishes with his work. He nodded his head and made his way to the end of the class and sat himself down. He did his best to not look at the girl.
"Class. " He rolled his eyes as the students were talking over him."CLASS!!!" The teacher shouted at the top of his lungs. This time, it had gotten all the students attention. He then smiled a little as now he was in control once more. "That's better. Though this is the beginning of the year, you will be doing a project from now till the end of the year."He handed each of his students a folder containing that they should do before heading back to his desk. "You should have plenty of time getting it done. Also, you will be teaming up with another student to get it done."He then looks at Mathas. "Because we had an odd number of students before you arrive, you will be teaming up with the girl on your right."
A lab partner? Mathas thought. He hated working with another person as they always make him do the work because he was pretty smart. But still, if he is going to be assign to another student, he will deal with the burden as he rather not fail. He then looks at the popular girl." I guess we are going to be partners." he said softly.
