I haven't been on the site in quite literally years, but I miss having more roleplays active a lot, so I'd like to try finding something again.
First things first: While I don't have much post history on the site, I do, and did, a lot of roleplay. Most of it was in private due to being self-conscious, admittedly.
I've had people complain before about my way of putting together info, so, the spoiler tag has the minimized form.
I'm pansexual, with a tilt toward female anatomy when it comes to smut.
I'm still more than willing to roleplay with men, it's just that I'm less likely to be onboard with a smut-for-smut's-sake plot if your character is physically male. It's still entertaining to me, just not as much so.
I prefer to play male characters, but can and will play others as requested, especially if it's not smut-focused. If it comes down to sex, I prefer to be the character on top or doing the penetrating, however you want to phrase it.
I'm happy to plot out roleplays, chat, or play games with anyone who feels like it, as well as mixing the three together when people want it.
I tend to write without editing unless it's for absolutely massive posts, so my replies may sometimes have errors, but I'm typically pretty reliable with grammar and spelling. I'll happily clarify anything that comes up in the course of RP if it's confusing or unclear.
One thing I do need above anything else is contact with my partners. I want to be able to bounce ideas, check interest levels, and adjust things as needed.
I’m not the sort of roleplayer that will roleplay something that I fundamentally don’t enjoy, and I won’t ask you to either: let me know if the roleplay is going down a path you don’t want (or even if you want another path more) and we can tweak things. It’s our writing, we get to choose what we write.
I'll be adding replies to this thread to more or less work as categories, but if you come across it while it's still incomplete, and are interested in talking over ideas, feel free to message me either here or on discord (the latter will get my attention quicker if I'm afk, and alert me in the morning if i'm asleep).

What I've listed here isn't all that I'm willing to do, but rather it's the sort of things that my mind most often jumps to when i'm given a primer, and these should hopefully do a good job of telling you what I not only like doing, but what I'm actually like as a writer. Pure smut ideas will be at the BOTTOM of this post, after the bulleted interests. (Not included yet)
Modern:
For a long time, apocalyptic stories were the bread and butter of what I roleplayed. I still have a lot of ideas I can use for it, and some of my most developed fall in here, but it's far from being all I enjoy!
2: Kinks and Limits
The easiest way to describe what I want out of a roleplay is for it to be engaging. Smut is fun, and can be good for its own sake, but I think everyone knows that you’ll get bored of smut inevitably. If I can have a roleplay that is interesting to write, or that pulls on something I want to explore or experience, I’m going to go head-first toward that.
That being said, I have kinks and limits the same as anyone else.

Male, Mid-20s IRL
Lots of time to RP, game, et cetera due to life issues.
Plays mostly men, prefers mostly women in smut.
Will do full smut, full plot, or mixtures.
Happy to rp here, discord, or elsewhere.

Modern:
- Espionage: Whether it's corporate, military, or political, there are plenty of opportunities to make a good plotline out of hunting and stealing secrets.
- Kidnapping/Escorts: Regardless of whether the 'guard' is on the side of the prisoner or not, the interplay of transportation and security, and the necessary closeness of both a kidnapper and bodyguard - or both at once - can be a good starting point for roleplay.
- Slice of Life: Somewhat of a counter-point, but I don't usually like roleplaying out purely domestic scenes for their own sake.
- Refer to section 5 for: The Job (information trade, distrust) and The Trace (kidnapper turned guardian, politics)
- Nobility: A noble(wo)man is one of the few in some societies that are allowed to have eccentricities. Whether it's one the populace overlooks, or ultimately one that gets them tossed from favor, these can be a nice touch.
- Guards: The more power you have, the more you need protection. Higher authority means higher threats to you, and no matter how much there might be a class divide, there still needs to be the swords, spears, or sometimes just muscle to protect - likewise, the job of protecting the poor may be noble, but a reliable set of meals and the opportunity to throw your weight around doesn't always attract the finest people.
- Refer to section 5 for: The Abbertons (bastard children, inheritance, etc) and Death in Spades
- Mixing: Bringing magic, other species, or other aspects of fantasy into either historical, modern, or other settings can be fantastic.
- Racial differences: More than just "oh the elves live longer and the dwarves make tools" I like more fundamental differences between races. Lizardmen aren't lizard-shaped people, they're people-shaped lizards, is a good example of this.
- Semi-realism: I like taking the strangeness of a concept, and forming a reality around it. If a race has X quality, how does that shape its culture and behavior? If you don't need to worry about clean drinking water, do you even need to develop alcohol in the first place.
- Magic is terrifying: While it can be fun to go simple, I like magic that's weird and unnatural. Backfires from spells, strange causes, and even a fundamental horror in gaining it can be interesting to explore.
- Refer to section 5 for: Amaera (broad setting) and Godless (magic is awful)
- Too busy asking if they could: The usual trope, of science backfiring by going beyond a limit, regardless of what that was. Sometimes this verges into apocalypse territory, but it can also extend to less severe threats.
- Aliens, Artificial Intelligence, etc: To me, the important sticking point on AI in stories is both the need for equal treatment and the recognition of differences. This is both in the case of coexistence stories, and those that involve a fundamental struggle.
- Exploration: While there's far too much to be condensed here, the old trope of exploring the vast reaches and finding what no-one else has will always have a charm.
- Refer to section 5 for: A Matter of Profit and The List (war, human experimentation) or Full of Nothing (Exploration, alien species)
For a long time, apocalyptic stories were the bread and butter of what I roleplayed. I still have a lot of ideas I can use for it, and some of my most developed fall in here, but it's far from being all I enjoy!
- Damages: Infrastructure, Population, Society, Ecology. Each one of the four, if damaged enough, can lead to a collapse. Massive war damages roads, utilities, and communications. Plagues decimate the population, but only that, directly. Aliens, revolutions, and revelations can cause societies to collapse overnight. Massive enough unrest may even make swathes of land unlivable or outright hostile. There are a lot of variations, and all can be interesting.
- War: Ultimately, a war won't damage everyone's homeland, in an ideal case, but as money dries up, the government falls apart, and there's no more modern conveniences, it's a societal collapse nonetheless. Even worse if, in the end, no-one comes home.
- The Sun is Death: The core of my Bottom of the Dark idea, essentially a 'end of the world' scenario that can't be fought, but also doesn't really... do much. To put it simply, something occurs and normal human society falls apart, but without death, war, or even much hurrah. People just have to cope with this new, fundamental shift in how the world works.
- The Undead: I shouldn't need to explain this too much, but whether they're shamblers or sprinters, intelligent or braindead, the undead can offer a lot of room to work with in all their forms, whether actually dead or not. Apocalypses like this cause massive population loss and societal collapse, but only moderate damage to cities, and almost none (directly) to the environment beyond that. Usually.
- Nuclear: Fallout is one of the good examples of this. Society self-destructs and it's up to humanity to deal with the remainders. This can take the form of disease, societal collapse, ecosystem collapse, and population wipe-outs.
- Disaster: Whether it's a 'natural' disaster or something else, the world continues as-is, but there's no more society, only people trying to salvage what they can after the quakes, fires, storms, or combination thereof.
- Calamity: The world changes fundamentally, but not always in a way inimical to life. Magic springs into being, animals can abruptly talk, or something else. Rather than existence no longer supporting humans, and things falling apart due to that, this has the immediate possibility of being adapted to in a positive way.
- Refer to section 5 for: Hunting (Zombies, travel) Bottom of the Dark (Existential, discovery) The Wastes (Nuclear, optional fantasy ties) Blackridge (Intelligent infected, long-term survival) and Feral Magic (Fantasy calamity)

In the bedroom, oral sex, foreplay, size differences, and both intimacy and roughness are fantastic.
Past that, I’ve written most Kinks people have a few times in the past, and I’m almost always willing to try new things. As long as my partner wants to, I’m happy to experiment!

Yeah, a spoiler inside a spoiler. If you want to keep the lewd entirely restricted to the RP, I will 100% respect that, and you can feel free to close this sub-spoiler.
On an OOC level, I adore (when it comes to it) knowing that my partners are enjoying themselves with the roleplay. Depending on trust levels and comfort, talking, hearing and (very rarely) seeing via discord can be fun as well. I’m not looking for a relationship or anything serious through this: it’s just a fun thing to indulge in when other people want.

Aside from the common blood, gore, and toiletplay, I’m not particularly comfortable with:
(Minor) Felching: I don’t know why, but the idea itself makes me faintly nauseous even though it shouldn’t. Sorry to those who like it!
Hardcore rape, particularly with a realistic depiction of the trauma.
Generally hardcore or overly in-depth trauma in a sexual context, whether mental or physical.
Transphobia, Racism, and Sexism play.
For the above, they can be existing trauma and dealt with in interactions, but I will not roleplay the act itself if the roleplay is designed to revolve around the degradation, trauma, et cetera.
Aside from the above, ask and we’ll see: it may not always be a yes depending on how niche the kink is but I may be in a mindset where I’m willing to try writing it with a partner.
