Well boys and girls, I just found a rather interesting program. This program is built of a map, basically, and from what I can tell, is quite simple. It's got hex grids, square grids, no grids at all...whichever you preferred for your Dungeons and Dragons adventures.

Basically, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to DM a campaign if the calling was big enough.
The program seems to be a pretty small download, and you can save maps and all that good stuff.

In any case, I'll just link ya all.

I think it'd be awesome to get a campaign goin' =3

Ahah! I found a place to store character sheets!!!

Honestly, I'd prefer if we stuck to DnD, it's the only thing I really have knowledge of in the ways of Table Top RPGs.
I know a few sites with interesting things for it...mostly custom made by players...but there's also one that has a huge amount of info from all sorts of books from 3.0 to 4.0 I believe.

Classes/Prestige Classes

I think we should all agree on using the 3.5 rulebooks to guide us. I don't hear many good things about 4.0(Then again I never hear any good things about anything, that could be due to my custom information network >_> )), plus most of, if not all, of us have the 3.5 rulebooks already. I would prefer it if we went 3.5 cause I have not yet touch a 4.0 rulebook since it came out.

I would DM if I wasn't a newb(big difference from noob people :p )) at D&D. That, and I really rather go through a campaign with my own character and not have to know whats comming next.

Moving on, I will either roll a Half-elf Ranger, a Dwarf Fighter, or an Elf Druid. I'm leaning more towards Ranger cause I enjoy combat plus the setup gives me range and support spells for myself and others.

I prefer weapon master builds.
Focusing on defense for the most part, because the class abilities apply a lot of offense.

Whether it be melee or ranged, I usually seek to keen my character's ability with one particular weapon.

As for race, and such, that will depend on what the options are.

Question: Is this still open for more people to join in? I have most of the 3.5 books hardcopy, and the ones I don't have I have the .pdf's for. I would join as a player... or a Gm whichever, although honestly I would prefer player. I've been doing almost nothing but Gm-ing since I started playing the old Ad&D system(lazy friends who didn't want to write stories) I won't do 4e though.. I don't like the whole D&D for dummies theme it has

Well, I suppose I should take a little initiative, ey?

Basically, I'm not going to force anyone to DM.
But, if we are going to play, we need someone to step up to the plate.
3.5 seems to be what everyone wants.

I, myself, probably won't DM since that's all I've been able to do lately...and I'd much rather just play a leisurely but serious campaign.

I'm not sure about other people, but I would /happily/ play in more than one campaign, so more than one DM isn't a bad thing.

We would simply have to coordinate the two campaigns (or more) so that we weren't playing more than one simultaneously. I think that'd be a little hard.

I'd love to play. Been dnd'ing for years.

3.5 is my personal favorite. I'll be interested if there's still a spot.

I am well aware that there are plenty of players already and I don't mean to impose but I would be willing to play.

I can DM and I can play.

I have both 3.5 and 4.0

If I had to pick my character now, Id probably a minotaur fighter. WHOOH! using tree trunks as clubs is fun! xD

I think, for a date, it'd be cool to have at least one campaign going by fall?
Not sure if that's enough time, depends on who decides to DM, I suppose.
Well, here's what we've got for a list of possibilities thus far:.

:::possible players:::
sjdude
Misha Hiroki (4e or 3.5)
Lynisedel
Gwath Canta
Zero_Raider1
Cherry_Fire
Proprioception
Private_Puppy (3e or 3.5)
shadowseraph (3.5)
Nihil (3.5 or 4e)
retinal mist (3.5)
lightJason

::possible DMs::
Taidon (4e or Marvel D100)
Lynisedel
Gwath Canta (3.5)
Nihil (3.5 or 4e)

I suppose the only thing to figure out now, is how we can all get together to make this happen.
If, people do have the Gametable thing, we can try and get the players/DM together via that, and make characters/make campaigns/brainstorm/build parties and the like.

I have only MSN, so lest you guys have that, I'm ruled out.
^^;
But! Don't let my absence end up being the death of the whole idea.

I just realized that I had forgotten to update my contact information. Anyone who wants to get in touch, feel free now.

I could see about integrating this into the site. Maybe a dedicated forum, to store character sheets, maps, etc., with it's own chatbox for actual gameplay?

I don't know a lot about tabletop, but as far as I know, dice are all you need, and the chatbox has a /roll function.

I can play via instant messenger or download this game table thing either way just let me know how its being done.

That would be awesome Trygon.
But I'd hate to see the site's developers and staff make a whole DnD thing if it doesn't have enough people.
Though, from what I've seen, I do suppose there's a fair amount of them, eh?

Thanks for the aid Trygon.

However I haven't seen a /roll function in my list of commands. Alos, we need /roll commands for various dice types, and the ability to role one dice (or two different types if the situation calls) multiple times. That would help dramaticly(Cause in D&D, there is no such thing as having too many dice)

The command is /roll #d#
The first # represents how many dice you want to roll
the second # represents how many sides on the dice

for example

/roll 1d20

The command would incite the chat to roll one random d20 ^_^ Thus resulting in whatever you need.
So you can use the chat for D&D rolling. Just have to roll each dice type, one at a time.

I would like to join this, but I never played DnD. The only thing that come close to playing something like DnD is final fantasy.
