The sun was hiding behind the clouds as the village of Annandale went on with their daily lives. Being positioned only a small distance away from the Castle, the village was often called upon for provisions and skill that the castle did not have. But this close distance between the village and the castle made it easy for the Annandaleâs trouble maker to mess with the guards of the castle.
Today was no exception to the trouble maker who was running through the outer corridors of the castle with guards chasing her, each shouting different names that did not describe the girl. Thief, bandit, robber, criminal, all of those were being shouted. Well, the thief part was partially true, she had often took things from the supply closet to help her family, being the oldest in the house hold she had to provide for her siblings and no one wanted to hire her. She soon stopped at a window and turned to look at the guards. Smiling, she pulled out a rope with a hook and tossed it up to the balcony that was above her and she started to climb up, each pull thanking herself for borrowing her brotherâs clothes. Once she was on the edge of the balcony she pulled the rope up and turned to the room, letting her long brown hair out of the knot she put it in to keep it out of her eyes. âToo easyâ¦â she murmured, not knowing whose room it was. She looked around the room and soon noticed whose room it belonged too.
It was not long until the girl saw the door open and she stepped back towards the balcony as the roomâs owner walked in. Her eyes widened before she looked down, hearing the sound of the guards, âShe has to be up here! She is heading towards the Jewels Room!â they shouted. Silently, she stepped away from the sight of the door and got down on her knees, âPlease forgive my invasion Your Highness. I had no idea that this was your room.â She murmured quietly as her brown hair covered the view of her face.
