I've been having a craving for a Warframe-themed RP. For those unfamiliar with the game, it's an MMORPG (free-to-play) in which ninjas in mechanized suits roam the Origin System, which is very similar to our real life solar system. The Origin System was governed by the Orokin, who were essentially humans that created a gilded empire all across space. Then, from the Tau System came the Sentients, powerful drones that waged war against the Orokin. The Orokin created the Tenno, who through a connection to the Infestation, gained control of Warframes and defeated the Sentients, but the cost was high. The Orokin empire was almost entirely destroyed, with vestiges of it existing in a beautiful but hollow place known as the Void.
With the Orokin out of the picture, control of the Origin System was up for grabs. The Grineer, a race of strange alien-like beings that are made-up almost entirely of bad genetic clones seized planets, as did the scientific genius and ruthless business humans called the Corpus. The Infested which helped create the Tenno now seeks to take control of everything, as well, and they fight the more organized Tenno, Grineer, and Corpus. The Void creates Corrupted beings, and they oppose any that come in seeking treasures or knowledge. Lastly, the Sentients lurk on the fringes, still opposing the Tenno as they did before.
Warframe is a large universe in which many stories could be told. It's similar to Destiny if you are a fan of those games. The game has clans made up of real players, so it would be cool to form a team and adventure together. There are all sorts of environments, from arid Mars to watery Uranus and icy Pluto. There are enemies large and small, and 40 different Warframes that can be chosen from. The possibilities for stories are endless, and that's the biggest reason that I want to do an RP about it.
For those not familiar with the game, here are a few Warframes that could be used:
Frost: Ice Warframe that can freeze blast, fire a trail of ice, create a snow globe of protection around himself and his friends, and create an avalanche of falling snow and ice chunks.
Ember: Fire Warframe that can shoot fireballs and create flaming pillars that shoot out everywhere.
Volt: Lightning Warframe that can shoot lightning from his hand, increase the speed of himself and allies, create shields, and unleash a burst of lightning that paralyzes all nearby enemies.
Mag: Magnetic Warframe that can use magnetic fields to defeat her foes.
Excalibur: The first Warframe, a powerful warrior that can slash dash his foes, radial blind his enemies, send out spears in a circle around him, and summon an energy sword that can send out vacuum waves for distance slashing.
My own Warframe will be Excalibur Umbra, the Prime (upgraded) version of Excalibur with pretty much the same abilities only stronger. I see him in a leadership role, perhaps training younger and/or inexperienced Tenno.
I'm open to a one-on-one RP with this, but if enough people show interest, I could make it a group RP.
What do I want?
I want a dedicated partner or partners that will post at least every other day. If RL stuff gets in the way, just let me know and we'll work it out.
I would prefer partners that post a minimum of three paragraphs, though one paragraph is acceptable as long as some effort is shown. I value quality over length, but it you can give me both, that would be appreciated.
For this idea, I'm wanting story more than smut. I don't mind a 50/50 ratio, but I do want an actual story that isn't just sex scene after sex scene.
Warframe takes place in a vast world, so I need someone willing to communicate about possible story ideas and other things. Communication and cooperation is essential, just like in the game itself.
Someone looking to have fun as well as make a good story. Warframe isn't story heavy, so people don't need to be intimidated if they don't know the lore backwards and forwards. I'm not requiring knowledge as a factor for admission, provided of course that you are willing to learn and try to play within the framework of the story.
