Question Was the 3 post, 24 hour rule always here?

It started some time last year, and it was to help protect against bots and the like. I'm not sure how bad it was myself but it was bad enough to start the 3 post rule to begin with from what I've been able to gather.

Yeah, I feel this way, too. I was a member of this site a pretty long time ago, and this rule wasn't in place. At first I found it super annoying, but if it's protecting people on the site from getting brigaded, then I'm all for it. The internet can be a scary place. I once got death threats for writing in a review that the season finale of a show was disappointing. The entire rest of my review was positive, and yet people still found my personal email address and everything, just to tell me to watch my back. I can't imagine how it would be as a woman on a site like this.

Well, I for one can tell you....I thought everything was safe here until a guy came on and began propositioning me, demanding that I send him topless pic and how much he wanted to f**k me.....I'm glad the Mods did their thing
