Emily frowned as she stood in front of the apartment that, by some weird stroke of luck, she was going to be living in for at least the next year. She never thought in a million years her parents would agree to let her move out, but they did, under the one condition that she have a chaperone. And not just any, but Chris, whom Emily had a feeling her parents loved more than they did her (definitely more than her brother). He was a weird dude growing up, but he had turned into a cool guy, and if Emily was stuck with a man for a roommate, she didn't think he was a bad choice.

The reason she was still standing there was simple; she couldn't find her key. She knew she'd been given one, at one point, but as she fished around in her backpack for it, it was no where to be found. Most of her stuff had been moved in already by her parents, but she had her last collection of junk strapped to her back. Finally, after some more digging, she gave up and dropped the bag on the floor. Tucking a lock of white blonde hair behind her ear, she titled her head slightly, lifted her hand, and began pounding on the door.

"Chrriisss!" she shouted in a light, melodic tune. "Chris, you're adorable roommate is here and can't find her key!" She stopped pounding after a few seconds of no reply and frowned again, putting her hands on her hips in frustration. Her crop top showed off just a sliver of skin around her middle, before her high waisted skirt cut any more from view. "I know you're in there, let me in!"

Chris was getting used to the idea of having a roommate, mostly because he had to. When agreed to help out with Emily, he was very clear that there would be boundaries. It was now his junior year of college and shit was getting harder, so he needed the peace and quiet of his apartment. Hopefully she wouldn't be home too often, or would get a boyfriend or something. Chris could only hope.

At the moment Chris was laid back on his couch in a pair of loose black sweats and an old T-Shirt. He was deep into a season of some random show on Netflix. Out of nowhere there was a knock on the door and Emily's voice accompanying it. She wasn't even moved in all the way yet and already forgot her key? In her defense the door did lock on its own for security reasons. "I'm coming, chill out. " he replied back and crawled off the couch onto his feet. He stretched a moment and walked over to the door. With a click of the lock, he turned the handle and held it open for her to come inside. Once she was in he let it shut behind her.

"So that's the last of it then? " he asked looking at the bag dumped by her feet. How could someone this young have so much shit? "I can help out a bit if you need it, was thinking of ordering food soon anyways. Pizza sound good? Can't think of a better first dinner as roommates than pizza. " he said with a warm smile. Despite his overall dislike for having a roommate, he was still a kind person at heart. Being nice to her would just making living with her even easier, and Chris was all about the easy way.

"Hell yes!" Emily exclaimed, practically drooling over the thought of pizza. She grinned back at him, glad he seemed chill even though she was invading his mancave or whatever. Her brother was a jerk, but that didn't mean his friends had to be. Emily grabbed up her back and motioned in the direction of the hall to show she was going to put it away. She headed to the space she had claimed as her room, setting it down on the floor and looking around. Yep, it was all there, from her pink four poster bed to her boxes of clothes begging to be one day unpacked. She saw the key sitting on top of her dresser and sat her keyring next to it as a reminder.

Coming back out into the living room, she plopped herself down onto the couch, spreading out as much as her limbs allowed her. "You know, Teddy was losing his shit when he found out we were moving in together," she told Chris with a wicked grin. She loved pissing off her brother. "He said it was weird. Did he cuss you out too?"

Changing positions, Emily tucked her feet up onto the couch cushions and rested her chin against her knees. At first, she had thought it was a little weird too. This was a guy she had known since she was probably about 10, but never actually knew him for real. She remembered one summer when the two of them chased her around the yard with water guns, until she lured them to the garden hose and doused them both in revenge. It would be different seeing him on an almost daily basis, but her plan was to spend a lot of her time out with friends and stuff anyway. So with all that in mind, maybe it wouldn't be so weird after all.

Chris smiled and pulled out his phone to order it. Who called places anymore? He ordered two pizzas, expecting to eat one all on his own and the other could be hers. After confirming the order he set his phone down and looked over to Emily who had made herself comfortable next to him on the couch. For her brother's sake,he scooted away from her slightly and went back to his phone. Part of the agreement was that he would not make any moves on her, or even think about it. Teddy had made that very clear to him.

"Yeah he had some words... " Chris said scratching his head and giving a small chuckle. He looked over at her as she changed positions. There was something about her that he found really cute. Maybe it was the memories of their childhood, or how she grew out. Chris couldn't quite place a finger on it though. Though he had his promise to keep with Teddy. It would be a bit hard though he figured.

After a few minutes he stood up and stretched. "I'm gonna take care of some stuff in my room, keep an ear out for the pizza." he said as he walked back down the hall to his room. Once inside he shut the door and sighed. This was going to be really hard. Perhaps there was some way he could make it more fun? This whole situation was almost like a bad set up for a porno, but Chris was sure he was the only one who thought that.

Emily pouted slightly as she watched Chris disappear into his bedroom. He was really just gonna ditch her like that? She slid off the couch and stood, slowly making her way over to the TV to look for something good to watch. The guy had a lot of video games, but eventually she was able to find a movie that seemed watchable. She popped it in and put it on pause, pulling out her phone to kill the time.

After about thirty minutes of being alone, she realized with a grin she had Chris on her Snapchat, and decided it he was going to ditch her, she deserved some revenge. She held the camera up high and did a cute selfie from above, showing off her cleavage exceptionally well, and hit send. The timing was perfect, because the pizza was there a moment later. Emily hopped off the couch and rushed to the door to get it, giving the delivery guy a grin before closing the door in his face. Chris must have already paid online, which was fine to her. She brought the pizza back over and set it on the coffee table.

"Chris, pizza! Come watch a movie with me!" she called, taking a slice out of the box to munch on. They had watched movies together as kids, but it had been a long time since they'd spent any real time together.

Chris's phone buzzed and he picked it up instantly, as it was a fairly rare thing these days. It was a snapchat from Emily, and a pretty cute one at that. Was this was young girls did nowadays? The thought of that made him feel 40 years older than her and not just 3. He was interrupted from his thought by her voice from the other room. Chris stood up from his chair and took his headphones off, and opened his door to see her chowing down already.

"That sounds good to me, you can pick. Just nothing dumb." He added and grabbed a slice as well before plopping down on the couch next to her. He grabbed the remote and handed it over to her, so she could surf while they ate. After finishing his first slice he stood up again and walked to the kitchen "I'm gonna grab a beer, want one? Of course you do." he said grabbing two glass bottles from the fridge and handing one of them to her. She was underage but really cared.

Chris popped the cap off using the side of his coffee table and took a long sip, followed by a satisfied sounding sigh. Nothing beats a cold beer with pizza. After setting his bottle down on the end table, he grabbed another slice and looked to her but didn't say anything right away. Perhaps it was the angle, but she looked incredibly cute at that moment. Was it the picture from earlier getting into his head? He shook it off and took another sip of his beer to forget about it.
