queen hatshepsut..... in this hot ass desert? thought a sweaty Paine as she marked the location of her most recent find- a massive stone slab door covered in hieroglyphs, guarding what she hopes is the burial tomb of her beloved queen of egypt- queen hatshepsut. "hey we got some more 18th dynasty pottery and idols uncovered in the 6th hole around the doors base. u wanna take a look? these are different from the rest..." paine started from her thoughts and looked at what appeard to be a jumbled mess of a dig team. Jake. ah.. jake was holding wat appeared to be a stone idol... of ... vines? nothing important... "hey jake! u get that door cleared yet?" yelled paine as she headed to see the new pottery and idols. brushing her hands free of sand she passed by a few other members sifting thru sand. ~hoping to find some gold coins no doubt~ thought paine as she wiped the sweat from her brow. "we got about 89 percent of the sand cleared away but as you can see the glyphs are a little eroded.." paine gave a litle snort and playfully shoved jake out of the way. looking up at the massive stone door, as well as wondering why a burial site would need such a door for a human... even if she was a powerfull queen... "this is 18th dynasty glyphs alright. jake u got the photos and carbon prints done , right?" paine asked absently as she deciphered the glyphs. "uh.. yah though theres a definate lack of meaning here. a guardian... something about curses and a.. "fertility chamber?" as well as some treasure rooms. no doubt this last inscript is her burial chamber." jake mused over the latest of carbon prints.. "a fertility chamber?" wispered paine. "the treasure rooms alone must be worth much since this is an 18th dynast find." shared paine. calling out to the few dig teammembers to make expedition packs she turned back to the door. brushing a lump of sand away from the door she uncovered the eye of horus, which she patted affectionatley, then jumped as the massive door rumbled and a loud stone click could be heard. sand trembled out of the cracks surounding the door as it swung silently inward, revealing a long stone tunnel... dark, but cool. further ahead in the corridor she could just make out a wall sliding open while another passage was closed off. "jake, it looks like we got boobytraps all over. u think this team of yours is ready for this?" paine turned to face jake as more sweat found its way down her ample breasts. jakes eyes followed the trail, then looked up and uttered " nope but if they want to have some experience then they start now!" with the packs ready, Paine's first steps into the corridor are accompanied by a low grinding noise beneath her feet. looking down, she sees nothing but cracked stone tiles, but her instincts tell her theres something wrong in this tomb. ignoring it, she struts forward and activates her head lamp. the grinding slowly fades away as they trek thru the tunnel. unwarily, jake steps onto a tile that looks like the rest, but as his foot comes off, it slides downward and activates a hidden mechenism, powering up the old tomb for the first time in centuries.
