[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Character Name: [/BGCOLOR][BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Andrei Ovidiu Constantin[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Aliases: None[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Gender: Male[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Profession: Burgomeister’s Guard[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Apparent Age: Early 30s[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Appearance: Andrei is tall, nearly 6’ 7”, with a lean build and well-defined muscles. He wears his jet-black hair shaggy and shoulder-length, and has a prominent widow’s peak when he (rarely) pulls it back. His eyes are a piercing blue, his nose is straight and hawk-like, and his face is expressive and frequently smiles.[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Personality: Andrei is friendly and outgoing, with a playful streak and a broad sense of humor. He also has a fierce temper and a strong sense of personal honor, strong enough that he has had to struggle to control his impulses when insulted. He is extremely loyal to the Burgomeister, to his fellow guards, and to Barovia, seeing it as a duty owed to the land ge calls his home.[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Recent History: Andrei has lived in Barovia all his life, growing up in the mists and the shadow of the von Zarovitch castle (the “Castel al Bestiei” as it is known in the village whispers). His family was slaughtered by intruders late one night when he was eight - bandits, the official story goes, but young Andrei saw the misshapen, inhuman figures too clearly to believe that - and the Burgomeister took him in. [/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]He might have become a household servant had not Ismark seen potential in him. So instead, he was trained and raised to be one of the Burgomeister’s household guard, protecting the family that took him in and the community he still lives in.[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Recent History: Andrei has been a guardsman, hunting wolves along the roads and in the forests, guarding the town walls at night, and generally doing his duty.[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Notable relationships: Andrei loves and respects the Burgomeister, who is much like a second father to him, and his son Ismark, who is very much an older brother to him. Sir Leo deGrey taught him most of what he knows about handling weapons, as well as his faith in the sun god, and he would die for that man if he asked.[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Strengths, talents, and points of pride: Andrei is skilled with staves and poke arms, and competent with swords and knives. He reads in his spare time, mostly histories and religious texts (I.e. the contents of the Burgomeister’s household library), has taught himself to play the fiddle, and is a moderately skillful dancer. He also knows the roads and forests of Barovia like the back of his hand, and is a skillful tracker.[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=rgb(25, 49, 66)]Weaknesses, detriments, and points of improvement: Andrei has an alarming temper, one that can explode if provoked. He suffers from nightmares on occasion, reliving the slaughter of his family in dreams. He can be selfish and possessive, and feels deep religious guilt over this. He’s a bad cook that thinks he’s a chef[/BGCOLOR]
