Yumi Nadokai walked bout her small shrine, she swept the leaves from the grounds keeping it clean so it is respectful for the gods. Though she knew what was going to happen soon since there was something brewing in their village. A warlord came into their village a long time ago, he had been trying to revive evil yet nobody in her village were too weak to do anything against him. Yumi had trained in archery but once they had selected her as a shrine maiden, then due to her dedication to the gods she slowly became the high priestess, pure, and loving the warlord wants to use her for a sacrifice, though she didn't know what kind of evil would be unleashed onto the village itself. When she finished sweeping she moved about the grounds greeting villagers that often came for fortune, good prayer, or even just to be blessed in some way by her. She was the high priestess, after all, she moved about the grounds to make sure that the other maidens of the shrine were doing their respective jobs to make sure that proper tribute was given.

Ruki Tsuka moved from tree top to tree top, her eyes scanning the environment as she received a scroll from her master, the next time for the next prestress is upon them. Ruki just chuckled to herself, the money she was getting from this job would pay her the rest of the season and beyond. She didn't really care for the master's ambition, she just did her job and took her pay and bought something like Sake or some other tavern to enjoy some company of a man or woman. She wasn't picky as this job didn't really award those much and more or less killed them for incompetence. Though she wouldn't allow that kind of behavior to cause her downfall, she just enjoyed the simple pleasures after a job well done. As she deftly moved through the trees she came across the village sitting in a covered tree she too survey of what they had for defenses. Ruki scoffed, what was she doing? she had been here before, and she knew that this village did nothing to fight back against the warlord or her master so maybe she was being complacent but honestly this wasn't the first time she did this job.
