I am a long-time writer and role-player; I have written across several mediums in both public and private forums. Having not had a partner or a medium across which to write in the last several years I am anxious to begin anew. Traditionally I have been a writer that is primarily interested in plot, story, world, and creation. The characters that my partner and I create within the world, to me, don’t come second, but exist as a living and breathing part of the world that we facilitate together.
In general, I don’t like to role-play in canon worlds, but there are a few different worlds that I would consider – Legend of Legaia (bonus points if you know what that is), Pillars of Eternity, Warhammer Fantasy, Fallout, and the Elder Scrolls. I would also be willing to write within the world of Ice and Fire but not against or as canon characters.
However, what I prefer to write are custom worlds and peoples that I have designed myself. I have created fantasy worlds for my own D&D and Pathfinder games for a number of years and if at all possible, I like to write within those worlds. I know that sometimes it is daunting to write within someone else’s world, but I enjoy allowing other people to write within my world and help create it themselves. I am very open to new ideas being introduced into my world.
What I like: Low Fantasy (magic should be rare and scary), grim and gritty realism, the medieval period and the ancient world, conflict – stories should be filled with conflict, whether between characters or within the world. I like difficult starts and even more difficult backgrounds, war, political strife, etc. Dominant characters: I like to play dominant character’s more generally but am open to playing just about anything.
What I don’t like: The modern world, essentially anything reaching technology past the 1800’s or a little earlier. Pure smut, I like a plot driven world primarily, but of course the smut will come as it is needed. I will avoid scat like the plague but otherwise I am open to almost any possible situation that might arise.
What I’m looking for: A partner who is willing and ready to write more than just a few lines of text. While we don’t need to write pages to one another, we can, or we can write just a few paragraphs. I am not a stickler for spelling, capitalized, or punctuation, if it is evident that my partner seems to care. What I care most about is that my partner is paying attention. I will do my best to always pay attention to your writing as long as you do the same with mine. A partner who is interested in exploring custom worlds, or, at the very least, new aspects of old worlds and who is interested in the creative process and ready to alter and come up with ideas for the world.
If you are interested in writing with me please let me know. I will update this page later with some plot ideas, but I would be willing to discuss anything that you’d like and figure out something to write.
I am open to writing across PM’s primarily, but I will be okay with writing in the forums and over e-mail. Discord is my preferred method of doing anything, but lately I’ve been feeling like using the website’s built in methods of writing. Discord is great for communication between one another, though, and I much prefer it.
