I have been saying that a rework of my profile would be coming and the moment I decide that it is time I always tend to get lazy and start writing rather than to get this situated. So lets begin. Hello. I'm Geo. I am 23 turning 24 sooner than I would like. Words to describe myself? I can't say they would be too inviting. I have been writing on roleplay servers for the better part of 2 to 3 odd years but have been roleplaying just a tad bit longer than that. I tend to write the darker and more melancholic male character to your females and their annoying complications either intrigue or annoy you. Either way I tend to write for those reactions. The reactions and the interesting stories that tend to stem from simple starts.
As of late I have had a problem finding my muse, I think it has more to do with me forcing myself to sit down and actually do the writing than anything else. I know. Its sad hearing the would be writer say he is having trouble with the writing. But I did have a desire to return to the hobby so I hope to reconnect with both old and new partners. Maybe find some of those sparks that got left behind. For those looking to write. Come at me a little aggressively. It helps get my lazy ass back onto the keyboard. Aside from that. Feel free to come and talk plots with me. Even if it isn't something you plan on writing with me. I like workshopping. Planning settings and world creation is always enjoyable, And if you are a familiar face you should check in.
Disclaimer in big bold letters. I am not Mr. Warm and Fuzzy with happy endings. That does not mean there are never any happy endings. In fact that means the happy endings will probably more enjoyable the moment that it comes for the credits to roll. But my strengths lie in ambiguity, darkness, grit and the unknown. Truth is Relative
This is the story of the near future. With technology becoming more and more advance there seems to be more and more ways to escape. One of them being the virtual world. With worlds ranging from the likes of books of fantasy down to the day to day lives of regular people living in a their own make believe town and or city. Leading a day job and even potentially having a virtual family. It is safe to say that the every day life of people no longer remains the typical going out for a run and coffee before adulting for the rest of the day. With this influx of people looking to live whatever fantasy they desire there is always a seed of evil and this is where this story begins.
You are reporter looking into one of these scammers looking to make easy money off of the helpless people looking to escape whatever hell their life may be. Be it lowly gaming news website, Twitter spammer or even as far up as a live news reporter going into unknown territory to uncover these criminals by delving into their hobbies.
As far as character elements go. This is very open to interpretation and adaptation to any and all specific genres so long as the dynamic remains interesting and we add in plenty of complications.
Trial by Fire
This plot is a little something I have been mulling over and is an adaptation of an old plot once worked with and some of my own personal inspirations. It takes place in a newer and more 'civil' take on Hell. Demons and Devils live in this odd harmony while they wait for the second coming of Lucifer. However while the boss is away the Devils tend to play. Devils and Demons live as two separate classes of people. Devils being seen as royalty and Demons being seen as the commoners of hell. Devils even go as far as owning their own Demons to send out and reek havoc on mortals to pass the time or even entering their demons into the Gauntlet. The Gauntlet is the Hell equivalent of the Gladiatorial arena. The only way to rise in power would be to either shame another Devil publicly or to challenge their best demon against one of their own in the Gauntlet.
This story would be that of a Devil desiring to move up from her station. Coming into contact with a Demon openly despising the shackles placed onto his kind. Perhaps an arrangement is met. Perhaps he gets himself into trouble that requires him to be shackled onto a Devil or see painful torture for all of eternity. Either way this demon quickly becomes more than once bargained and very quickly he begins to make easy work of the lower grunts of the Gauntlet. Catching eyes of those higher than their stations.
As far as character creation or progression goes. This can be as quick or as slow a burn of a plot as wished. It could be something where hell could be explored or it could be personal moment lead by combat again and again until the end.
