Setting This underworld, neither Heaven Nor Hell, is the AfterLife, you arrive here through passages from the unknown, the darkness of the tunnel, unfortunately, the light at the end of the tunnel is not Heaven, nor with the red tinges or Hell. Actually you have entered the domain of Angels AND Demons. And of course, those that don't yet know.

Keeping steady with the times of the world, this other world, is more of a spiritual level, your appear to have bodies, and souls, you can eat, drink, sleep, touch, kiss, hug, punch. Everything, but this place can only be found once you are dead, there is only one entrance and no exit.

The world is split into 4 Domains.

Firstly you will see No-Man's Land, a bare place, dark and rotten, haunted by those that have taken the corruption too far, not the demonic type, but the hollow type, taken into something beyond sins, they are hollow beings, they seek you out and will eat your soul and feed on your secondary bodies.

Secondly is the City, Much like London/Paris/NYC to list but a few. Centred in the middle is the hub of activity, you can get jobs, go to pubs, parties, live in houses, earn 'money', have a good time. For those that can't be bothered, there are inns and slowly as you creep from the Outside to the main part everything gets better, the very outskirts are dismal, but protected by a massive wall to keep those on the Outside, well and truly out.

Finally you have the equivalent of Heaven and hell. If you imagine arriving on the equator and heading East to the City then 'Heaven' is at the North Pole and 'Hell' is at the South.

As you get closer and closer to the 'Heaven sides of things, the City spaced out more and became cleaner, everyone was more happy and relaxed until you get to the castle itself, white, spotless and perfect. Rooms for each individual soul, it grows as more and more souls enter

For the 'Hell' sides of things as you get further south it turns to gambling and parties, the music gets louder, the streets get more crowded. Every sin is out in the open, on the streets, lust being the most obvious and most needed here.

Angels:

Username: _Z3r0_
Name: Ashmael
Age: 1800
Sex: Male
Role: Ashmael is the head of the angels in Noman's land, his mission is to bring as many souls to paradise as possible. He leads and delegates to his team of angels and is the hated rival of Darius. He has romantic feelings for Grace, and knows of hers, but doesn't act on them seriously because he knows it would be selfish and time consuming to persue a relationship. ((he favors her and shows with actions that he cares but for the most part tries to keep it secret, however he may confess his feelings for her.))
Weapons: zanbato (it only function properly for him. When it's in his hands, it's much lighter, making it easy for him to swing and its surged with energy when he attacks. If anyone else uses it, it will become extra heavy, and there will be no energy.) cross bow, and sling shot (not a modern day one, but an olden day one, much bigger, more effective and made of leather)
Special ability: telekinesis (( when he pushes himself too hard or strains his power he will pass out or lose the power to move, completely))
Bio: N/A
Personality: Ashmael is a very loving, passionate and compassionate person. He always looks for the beauty in things. He is down to earth and easy going, he would rather not have any confrontations but will not allow injust things to happen as long as he's alive. He lives by his own personal creed, and sticks to it, keeping the highest level of integrity and self-service. Although he leads, he is very understanding and humble, he wouldn't tell anyone to do something he wouldn't do first.
Appearance:

UserName: Mynnion
Name: Grace
Age: 1600
Sex: Female
Role: Grace is Ashmael's right hand, her job is to assist him in any way she can, and help all angels younger then her. She is his second in command. Grace has deep, romantic feelings for Ashmael but doesn't know how he feels about her.
Weapons: Silver bow and arrows and short sword
Special ability: Aims with her heart so can hit something she can't see, can heals others wounds.
Bio: Grace has secretly harbered this attraction to Ashmael for years and when he was sent or asked to be sent, she really isn't sure, she eagerly said she would go. She both wanted to be near him and make sure he was safe in addition to wanting to help people. She would follow him anywhere to make sure he was safe but can't seem to tell him how she feels.
Personality: Grace is hardworking, loyal, kind and caring, sweet, and most of all fair. She is also intelegent but is happy to hear people out or take a following seat on a good idea. She tends to be timid when in a conflict with a friend and would compromise. But in fighting she is as aggressive as her arrow is true when her friends or innocents are in danger. She tends to be the strong silent type with a light touch and heart.

Username:
Name: Linus
Age: 800
Sex: Male
Role: Linus is Ashmael's closest friend and most trusted adviser. He feels the same way about Ashmael and is extremely protective over and loyal to Ashmael. He pities but has absolutely no tolerance for the demons and what they do and/or stand for. He is the most sensible in the group and uses his logic and himself as a good example to try to convince souls to join the good side.
Weapons: staff(preferred), Chinese butterfly sword (carried in customary pair), sai
Special ability: Linus can control time within the area of his sight, but the immense toll it takes on his concentration as well as his sense of honor keeps him from using this trump card very often.
Bio: Upon his death, Linus was placed somewhere in the middle of Noman’s land, as befitting a diplomat. Had Ashmael not found him first, he could very well have gone over to Hades if they had presented him with a logical and convincing argument for doing so. But as it was, Ashmael managed to appeal to Linus’s rationality so well that not only did Linus cross over to Paradise but also pledged undying allegiance to Ashmael and his vision.
Personality:Calculated and highly intellectual, Linus is empathetic but not sympathetic in that he understands others’ feelings and situations, but those feelings do not resound within him. For that reason, he comes off as somewhat detached, but it is not because he carefully regulates the showing of his emotion. There appears to be a buffer between emotion and the processing of emotion via thought that even Linus himself cannot overcome, making him overanalyze and think that perhaps he is fundamentally cold. However, his sense of honor and loyalty is high. Though he is diplomatic and good with negotiations, he would never sink so low as to use trickery or ever conduct his work on anything other than a level playing field.

His job is to fill his quota, he has to bring a certain amount of souls to Hades every two months. Every two months he fails to meet the quota, he has to stay in Noman's land another year. He hates Ashmael, and uses anyone and everyone he can to achieve his goal.
Weapons: A large scythe that stands about as tall as an average human, at the end opposite of the blade is a chain that runs up his arm, letting him use the scythe from a farther distance.

Darius is detached from the team, but second in comand because he is very good at persuading souls, and does what he has to to keep his reputation and good record. He doesn't care for anyone in Noman's land and is very anxious to leave it. He looks almost exactly like Daniel's older brother/Amber's deceased boyfriend, and he uses this to his advantage.
Weapons:Basic black Whip with a spike at the end made of metal, a bracelet with small daggers linked together which, when threatened, will change into flying daggers and attack the person harming them/ their wearer without draining the energy of derek. He also has flying start which stun the oponent temporarily I have flying daggers that explode with a mist/ chemical binding mixture that paralizes the opponent
Special ability:He can easily pursuade people using not only his good looks, but also his mind ((sort of like mind control, he suggests you to do something and sometimes it works. Depending on how much energy he uses and how strong his oponent is, it can work completely or part way or not at all.)
Bio: Always seen as the bad boy, even in life. He was a petty thief, murderer and sex adict until an angry gypsie mom cursed him after he got a little too friendly with their youngest daughter.

Username: _Z3r0_
Name: Sage
Age: 1400
Sex: Female
Role: Sage is Darius' favorite gopher/henchmen because she never fails him. She has made it clear to him and others, that she desires him more then anyone or anything else. She will usually do all the dirty work for the team since Darius is in charge and Derek is too lazy.
Weapons: Throwing knives, katana, dagger
Special ability: Shapeshifting
Bio: Sage was a curious girl, she always felt like something was missing and she was always trying things to see if she could find it. Sage wants to feel, in her past life she had always felt that life was not enough so she started doing wrong just because it was more exciting. She wasn't 'special' but somewhat stood out from her peers. She met Darius once and instantly became infatuated. Ever since, she had followed him. She went to places she knew he'd be, and tired and pulled through all of her connections to get close to and work for him. When she heard that he was sent to Noman's land she was sure to be the first on the list to go along.
Personality: Like her power, Sage can act anyway she needs or anyone else wants but usually likes to be herself. Around people, Sage is energetic, confident and a bit arrogant at times. She enjoys joking and playing around, but also has a very serious side. Getting closer to Darius and getting her work done comes as her first priority. She is usually an upfront person, but will lie and cheat if it benefits her. There is not much she is afraid of. When she is alone she tends to be mellow, calm, and even sad. She feels half empty and wants and believes that Darius is the only one that can fill up what's missing.

Bio: Carmine has spent most of his days wandering aimlessly looking for a purpose, that purpose came to him when he worked out his tendency for picking the right man to be on in a fight.
He started arranging fights and competitions, but never advertised that he had picked the fighters. His fortune grew with each fight, because the fighters were hand picked by him, and so he never lost a bet.
Personality: Controlled tempered, but he will occasionally let out bursts of rage. Normally thought he will not pay attention to anyone unless he address's them first.

Darius checked the papers on his desk. He scattered them around so he could see more of them at the same time. There was a notable increase of souls entering the city. He then checked through the plans of something he had been planning secretly. Plenty of fresh demons were at work on his plans and he knew he should head over soon to check on how they were doing.

Soon he would tell the others of his idea and he knew that even if they didn't like it, they would help him anyway, that's the way that it always went, it's not like he really cared what they thought, but more minds were better than 1 and he needed to place himself into other areas, this kind of supervision wasn't needed by him.

Once they had the first few floors ready, then he would bring in the others and start recruiting more souls to help out. It would start off innocent, but then when people realised they could never leave, he would have to make it even more interesting.

Sage took a deep breath, smoothed out her clothes and knocked at her employer's door. She was nervous, had the butterflies as she always did in the face of him. She clenched her fists anxiously, cracking her knuckles in the process. The two of them were close, she was supposed to be one of his 'favorites' however, that never stopped the symptoms.

"Darius?..." She immediately cleared her throat. She was sure he knew the effect he had on her, but she still never liked to show him, "I'm coming in." She was wearing black leather pants that fit her tightly, boots, and a soft black turtleneck. She wished she had dressed sexier, but she had just been working, and couldn't wait to see him. Sage walked into the room, her silky black hair swaying slightly as she turned to close the door. She paused a moment as her eyes rolled back. Mmmm, Sage loved that place, it smelled and felt so strongly of her Darius. She turned and smiled prettily at the male. "Workin' hard, or hardly workin'?" He looked engrossed, like he been sitting there thinking for hours. Rolling her lips into a thin line, she began to walk towards his desk.

(I play Sage. <3 ;-) )

Darius looked up. The plans he had on the table the only thing really in his mind. He looked Sage up and down, enjoying the view. She had just been on a particularly troublesome job, and to see her clothes already so pristine made him smile inside. He enjoyed using others to his own advantage, but this one, gave him both pleasure in what she did and how she did it. He wouldn't swap her for any other demon. "A little of both." He splayed his fingers out and collected the papers into one neat pile, a broad paperweight covered them so it was hard to see what the plans were. "A few plans for our future." the term 'our' deliberately placed to get her heart hoping. "And a place we can have some fun while recruiting more souls. Though I fear I may be being a little too cruel to the newbies." He was walking steadily closer to her, then within a hands reach he whispered. "But I'm sure you love it, Sage"

[[No one could play her like you do. What we've done on gaia already, hasn't happened here >__> but I'm sure it will ;) ]]

She smiled at his response, and stopped walking when he started his way towards her. The female discreetly chewed on her bottom lip, she could feel his heat and presence getting overwhelmingly strong as he neared. She casually brought her arm, with a folder in it, up to her chest. It was meant to be some sort of comfort because she thought her knees might buckle, but it didn't seem to work well. Our future? Her heart pounded, it was so hard to tell sometimes if he was serious or not. Sage wasn't a fool, she was just blinded sometimes. She knew, like everyone else, that he did use others, and she was probably just as convenient for him as everyone else. If not more because her dedication.

Smiling wider and prettier, she slightly shook her head, "Well, we wouldn't want that,.. they might wanna leave." Sage chuckled then, most of them, if not all, probably already wanted to leave. But that's what happens when you sign, you stay forever.

When Darius stopped in front of her she found it a little harder to breath. Her smile lessened into a shy smirk. "What are you planning?" (did you mean she loves it[like the cruelty?], or she'd love the plan?)

[heh heh, probably. :-D ]

"Leave? They might try, but believe me they will fail." He winked at her. "Once you're in my grip I never let go." It WAS aimed at her, but it was also a broader aspect, to cover all souls. He knew how it would play in her mind and her uncertainty was a sweet scent, he enjoyed playing with her. He moved slightly closer, moving his arms in a way that seemed to reach for her and her alone and then all of a sudden he changed the movement and gracefully made it seem like he was going to reach for the folder instead. "I'll show you my plans later. What have you go for me?" He smiled sweetly, a slight eyebrow raised for amusement and regard towards her.
[[cruelty]]

Of course she loved it. She loved it and hated it and wanted and needed it, more then anything but him. She hadn't really known it had happened to her, but for as long as she could... she had been head over heals in love, obsessed, ready to die for him. He could be cruel, and she would take it and eventually, enjoy it.

Her mouth opened as he came even closer, then tightly closed when he just moved to grab the folder. One of these days she would snap, and she would make the move, and she would grab him and kiss him and... "Oh..." She blinked, "Uhh... just the usual." Her slight smile returned, though it wasn't as genuine as before. In the folder were more soul documents, more souls she had signed over for them.

"Excellent work my dear. Could you find me the folder of the souls that don't currently have jobs, but have been loyal and trustworthy, hardworking for some...5 or so years." He took the folder and tucked it behind his back with both arms. "I have need of about 100 to start off with. Mainly females, young, pretty. Guys too, as I don't want to just attract guys to this place." He turned abruptly and walked to the desk, placing the folder down. He'd noticed her reaction, her need, her ever increasing desire, and he revelled in it. Seeing it for his own made it all the more, interesting. Various souls had come to him, pleading him. He wanted none of them, the promises he made to them were only to get them to sign up. But it's not like they would remember him afterwards, the work they go through pushes all else from their mind.

Looking back at Sage, Darius hesitated slightly. Should he play with her more? Or should he enjoy her, as he actually wanted to. "What are your plans for the rest of the day, aka, what work have I set you to do?" He could never really remember, his own work taking precedence. However he always made job lists a few weeks in advance, then changed them if needed. Darius was almost at the point where he wanted someone to see his plans, and where showing Derek was his usual thing, he wanted to show Sage first this time. Make her actually taste the specialness she so longed to have

Sage watched him, her bit of swooning over. Of course, her love and desire for him was always present, so she was never completely herself around him, but usually she could manage. The woman nodded slowly, thoughtfully, just what were his plans? "Of course, anything." It should have been written on her forehead. "... get it to you asap."

Casually crossing her arms, she shifted to stand comfortably, "Well, boss man, the rest of the day was supposed to be... dedicated to the checklist you gave me a couple of days ago. ...Why? Find a more pressing need for me? She didn't really care either way, unless of course, the more pressing matter was something regarding him.

He chuckled at the 'boss-man' comment, Sage was the only one that really spoke to him like that, which he enjoyed greatly, especially from her. No matter that it was trying to hide how she felt, and make her more comfortable. Hmmm, checklist, I still forget what's. Show her the building site or not? Probably best to show her now, leave it to her imagination what it might end up to. Perhaps slip her a few of the plans later on. "I have an idea that I want to show you." He indicated the plans on the table. "Those are blueprints for a new building that I'm having constructed. It's not far from this castle, and its also part of the main city."

He made sure all the folders were down and without a second thought took her hand in his and guided her out the room. He closed the door behind him and enchanted it to scald the next person unless it was one of the main three. It would only be stopped once Darius returned. "We should go out the back. Generally I'm not followed but people are always curious, and I don't want too many volunteers"

Carmine watched the street below from his usual haunt, a pillar towering high above the people below, generally he hated to mingle. He spotted what he had been looking for, the man who had disrespected him earlier. He stood and flung himself off the pillar, letting himself fall half its height before vanishing and re-appearing behind the man.

He drew one of his blades and sighed before grabbing the man's shoulder, "Sorry about this, but I don't tolerate disrespect of any kind", the first thrust landed the blade in the mans right shoulder, he then drew the second one and rammed it into the lower spine. "There we go, now I'll leave you to bleed out", he ripped the blades free and wiped them clean before vanishing again.

"A building?" As he busied himself with the door and the folders, Sage moved towards the desk, stealing a peak at the blue prints. It was huge, and looked amazing. What less could she expect though? Everything Darius touched became either great, or terrible but in extreme. "Looks incre-" It was a bit of a surprise when he took her hand, she had been engrossed in the site of his plans. She smiled up at him and followed, "Looks like it'll be great."

She squeezed gently on Darius' hand and grinned, he was too followed. Not all the time, but she did on occasion know and watched as he leaved through the back of his room. "Good idea." She agreed for extra points. Once the two were outside, Sage paused, stopping them both. "You didn't plan to walk did you?" As she spoke the raven haired woman began to shift into a black bird, and within seconds was large enough for the male to ride. She squawked shortly, and began to shake her tail feathers.

Darius noticed her getting a peek, and didn't really mind. He may have gotten at her if his mood was slightly less good, and probably slightly more angry had it been his second in command. He liked how his grip had silenced her. He nodded his approval of his thoughts and made it outside.

As he watched her change forms he smiled more. "I'm sure that riding you would be fun, but isn't it meant to be the other way around?" He chuckled and then climbed on, running his fingers through her feathers. "What other forms can you do then, my dear"

She chuckled telepathically, pointedly to him. When she became any sort of beast, she couldn't speak any other way, "Any that you'd like..." Of course not all shape-shifting demons could change into any and everything, but given her age, experience, and power due to her rank, she could.

Sage cooed as the male's hands played on her feathers, it was hard to decide which felt better; being touched as a human or animal. "Where to, Darius?" she asked, and stretched out her large wings. The bird fluttered them shortly, and with in moments they were off the ground.

Ashmael hovered the streets below, a faint smile played on his lips as he watched the people. It was a beautiful day, the sun was out, not much evil seemed to be lurking until...

From the corner of his brown eye, he caught the sight of something unusual. A man moving at incredible speed. Ashmael quickly turned, following him and his direction, then slowly began to lower himself in their direction. He was still quite high in the air, too high to be noticed by the pair of men. He watched curiously at what would happen then... "Stop!" Ashmael flew downwards to interrupt the scene as fast as he possibly could, only to see that he was too late. The young man, had severed the other's arm and stabbed him in the back. By the time he was even noticeable, the man guilty had vanished.

On the ground, Ashmael lowered himself to his knees, to lift the man's body. He bled profusely, and had a vacant look in his eyes. Ashmael ground his teeth, he could tell the man was dead, and that his soul had been gone. Closing his eyes tightly, he muttered a quick prayer. Opening his eyes, he sighed and shook his head. "Who the hell was that guy?" He didn't b0ther to look around, he figured that he'd been long gone by then. Sighing again, Ashmael raised a hand and gently closed the dead man's eyes. He hated death, well not death, murder. Death was natural, everything died eventually, but at it's own right time. Killing was something totally different, and only deserved by the wicked. His anger bubbled, just who did that man think he was? What did he think gave him the right? And what a coward he was to just leave so soon after! This man hadn't been evil, he could tell. Gently placing him down, Ashmael stood and wiped the blood off of his hands and onto his pants.

There was a brief bang as Carmine re-appeared, he could be more silent but he was in no mood to care. He skidded to a halt and straightened up, "Hmmm, odd....", normally that kind of distance would have caused him pain. "Heh, must be getting better at ignoring it", but sure enough his arrogance brought him down, he took a step before doubling over in pain, he let out an almighty roar of pain and rage.

He tried to moved again and shot forward into a wall, the boom was huge, and the shockwave so powerful that he blew through the wall. Once he slid to a stop, his mind cleared, he was on his feet in an instant and off he went again, this time silently.

"I'll tell you later" He laughed, then stopped and focussed, arranging his mind to where their current location was. His mind made a 3D map as he built himself the castle in his mind and the path that they should take. Keeping the objectives in his mind he cast out and drew up shadows, making a re-creation of the castle and its surroundings. He pointed to where they currently where. "Flying, it will be easier, but we'll have to bypass the tunnel." His fingers marked out each point and they glowed slightly. The end result was a little way off from the main city, but not yet in the castle. "There is a burn mark on the floor outside. It's a skull with a heart in its mouth."

Carmine re-appeared in the shadows of an alley mouth, he sheathed his blades and covered them with his jacket before emerging into the crowd and making for the nearest bar. His eyes slowly went over each of the people he passed. He could see the sign for a bar just up the road when someone grabbed his wrist, his other hand shot to his blade when a cry from the man stopped him.

"Wait, I have something to tell you..."
Carmine pulled free and looked at the man, "Waste my time, and I'll kill you, yes, you can die twice by my hand".
"You, you are a being of great power, and I am a man of much knowledge, I may have a way to get you to the human realm, but for know, carry on your way and I will find you again...".

Carmine looked him over carefully, the man was not afraid of him, not even shaking, "If you try to trick me, I'll make sure your demise is as slow and painful as possible", without another word he went straight to the bar.

Grace sat in the pub. She was sitting on a stool leaning back against the wall. The pub was dark and repressing, but her figure stood out, just like the angel she is. She had a few people surrounding her, listening to her soft voice as she spoke of the glories of heaven. "The popular ideas is that Heaven is just people floating on clouds and harps and singing.." She laughed lightly at a joke that someone made. It was a high, light and gentle laugh. "We wont you to enjoy yourselves, is that not heaven? The phrase I keep hearing is 'One Man's Heaven is Another Man's Hell', while this can be true we will let you have what you want, as long as it does not infringe on other people." She sipped at a glass of water by her side, the 'glass' seemed to be made of pure crystal with a slightly blue tint. "Every year the castle grows to accommodate all the people like you, that join us. With all this more room, you will have more freedom, people that enjoy, what you enjoy have their own areas to be in, and are far from the those that view different." She looked up at her crowd through her lashes. "Is that not Heaven?"

Carmine chuckled deeply, "Not to me", he drew himself up to full height as he neared the angel, "Heaven is a different place for all people, an area where they can do whatever they want whenever they want". He smiled sadistically at her before moving his jacket to display his blades, "My name is Carmine, and I think its time things got a bit more interesting around here", he appeared beside her, "I think you could help me".

Grace eyed up the demon, seeing him easily for what he was. The souls around him couldn't see them for what they really were. "Well, sir, I don't think I have what you're looking for, you've not my type." The people around chuckled, seeing this just as someone flirting and then being put down quite easily. Nevertheless, they moved out of his way. Grace crossed her legs and prepared herself, her belief true, her bows and arrows on the side, and ready to use, as ever. Her motto, and unstrung bow is just something to carry, not wield. It stayed in perfect condition, as did her short sword which was hidden.

"I believe I have something to bargain with, I was approached earlier by a man telling my that there was a way back to the human realm from here", he smiled again before vanishing, seconds later he appeared behind her, his mouth beside her ear. He whispered, "Now, stay nice and still, I'll be gone the moment you reach for a weapon", his right hand snaked its way up to her neck where he began to gently caress it, but his thoughts were anything but gentle.

"You will keep me informed on all angelic activities, or more people will die here, and I'll turn the human realm into a living hell", he smiled, "What is your reply?".
