Does editing an old bump count as bumping the topic up

Just wondering because I want to add a new idea to a thread, but I am aware that my 24 hours has not passed and I do not want to get into any trouble

You can edit a post just fine. Posting again would be a bump.

so what I am hearing is I can edit the post and that doesn't count and then once the 24 hours are up I can be like look at message two for new idea

Yes, that sounds fine. Anything that doens't involve bumping your thread more than once in 24 hours would work fine.

Yeah, K... I have totally edited my bumps from previous days multiple times. I have had no issues. You can do that, you just cannot post a new 'bump' until 24 hours have passed.

Even if you post to your thread before the 24 hours are up, a new post will not appear. Instead, the new info will be added to the last post. So you literally cannot break that rule anymore.
