About Me
Greetings, I'm Grey. I'm a female in my late thirties who grew up on things like Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, the Storyteller, Hammer Horror, faerie stories, mythology, and all things fantastical. I've been roleplaying for about twenty years and writing stories for a little longer. I am available most days for writing, however I'm married and work, so I can't guarantee immediate responses to posts and messages. I'll do my best though. In regards to post length, they vary depending on the flow of the story. Scenes with lots of back and forth dialogue are going to have shorter posts as I really don't see the point in trying to artificially lengthen them. Good novels have a mixture of long, descriptive passages and shorter sections for character interaction. If you are a writer who demands a certain length for each post, I'm probably not the partner for you. I write in the third person and prefer my partners to do the same.
The Pitch
I'm looking to write a mixture of long and short term stories that focus on storytelling over smut. Themes based around romance, lost love, angst, heartbreak and redemption are very much enjoyed, along with general adventure tales. I want to write with other female writers at this point in time. You don't have to have an English degree but I do like to be able to understand what I'm reading. I'm not interested in slice of life stories, only the fantastical and impossible. I will only write opposite characters who are adults and prefer partner characters to be well into their twenties. I RP through various mediums, and am happy to use whatever you prefer, although I don't use Skype.
Characters I'm Offering
I currently write heterosexual male characters aged thirty and older. I write a mixture of original characters, 'based upon' characters, and canon characters. Genres I cover are all kinds of fantasy (including some science fantasy such as Wizard of Lemuria or Barsoom), gothic horror and urban gothic. I enjoy D&D worlds like The Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Ravenloft and Dark Sun and will happily write stories based in these realms, but I'm also interested in world-building and can forge original creations without much trouble. I'm a delicious vanilla flavour. If you're after anal beads, BDSM, violence, choking and all that jazz you'll be very disappointed with my characters. I do write passionate, self-assured characters, but nothing sexually abusive.

I'm not into having my characters written for me. Dictating their emotions, thoughts, actions and so on will make me leave an RP. I'm also not interested in being a warm body to simply act out your very controlled and detailed fantasy. I won't dictate the way your characters should look or behave and I appreciate the same courtesy if shown to me.
