『Kodoku no Saibou』(1×1 w/ Jikkah)

"Let's go home," she muttered, standing and moving to the dirt path, "I'll send word to the madam in the morning." She pulled the amethyst whistle from her sleeve and summoned her bakotsu carriage.
"I'll have our things sent for, as well."

“Of course, you must be tired..” He was on her heels again, a soft frown on his face. “Is there anything I can do for you?”

He nodded his head and took his seat across from Akihime, closing the door behind him and allowing Akihime her peace and quiet.

He nodded and smiled in return. “Yes, of course, Akihime-sama.” Yukimura responded.

Nana stirred from her slumber as the tank she was in started to jostle more, taking quite some time to figure that she was being moved off the ship. The tank itself had been covered with a large cloth, leaving the shadows from the outside the only things she could see.

Jin was attending to Kojurou in a private room, burning incense as she served him tea, singing softly to him as she poured his drink first.

"But I think I understand what you're saying," she said gently, glancing out the carriage window, "you're worried that if I hate humans, I'll hate part of myself...I just find their nature to be disgusting; selfish and cruel, far too willing to destroy." Discolored eyes - cold and hateful - haunted her mind and she rubbed her eyes carefully in an attempt to clear them away.

Motonari surveyed the whole thing, wanting to be sure everything was perfect. He couldn't afford a single hiccup or snag.

Kojurou felt like he was dreaming; here he was, sharing tea privately with the woman of his dreams, listening to her sing for the first time since he had met her.

Yukimura reached out and placed a hand firmly on her shoulder, then moved it up to caress her cheek, offering a soft smile. “Exactly..”

The men moved the tank inside that palace to a large room where magical trinkets and tools were on display as well, Nana being placed in the center of the room.

The song she sang was soft and melodious, carefully moving Kojurou’s tea cup closer to him before taking her own seat across from him. Offering a smile to him as she sang, she enjoyed singing for him, finding his expression rather endearing.

She smiled softly and leaned into his touch, "I won't hate them, then...for your sake.."

"What have you brought now, Mouri...?" Mitsunari stopped by the concealed tank, staring at it dully before looking to him. Motonari made a noise as he stepped closer.
"A gift, as requested," he replied and pulled the cover away to reveal Nana. Mitsunari tried not to let his surprise show on his face.
"A ningyou? How did you manage that?"
"She's not a ningyou. She's draconian." Motonari corrected. A flicker of fear crossed Mitsunari's eyes.
"You're a bigger fool than I gave you credit." He said.

Kojurou enjoyed his tea and Jin's beautiful singing, feeling like he was in his own little Nirvana. He could do this every day if given the chance.

Yukimura smiled softly and rubbed his thumb over her cheek gently. “Thank you, Akihime..”

Nana stirred at the sudden light when Mori pulled off the cover, shielding her eyes as she tried to make out the two figures standing before the tank. The draconian queen tried to hide herself away, pressing away from the men as far as the tank would let her.

Jin sang Kojurou two more songs after finishing the first, and when she was done she stopped to take a drink of her tea and wet her throat again. “Would you prefer I sing you another song, or perhaps you’d like to play a board game?” She offered.

She smiled and moved to sit beside him, "No, Yukimura, thank you.."

"You asked for a gift for the Emperor, I have brought one." Motonari said.
"Yes, but not a resident of the Dragon Palace." Mitsunari hissed. Motonari didn't seem too bothered; turning to leave.
"That isn't my problem. I'll expect payment within the next few days."
"Scum!" Mitsunari hissed.

"Oh, a board game," he smiled, "we could play Go or Shogi?"
