This is the character creation thread for all the characters to feature, you can make one, two or even a 4 person team if you think you can handle it. Please be respectful to other users and take into account how many characters you'll have to write for and interact with. I want to see your best OC's and some unique styles which even roosterteeth haven't even created (yet). There isn't necessarily any limitations but ofc no god mod characters who have e.g. a gun that fires in all directions and insta kills everything. Take into account practicality, its transformations, the types of dust and how it best links to your character.

Your character could be a confident new student at an academy, a teacher with a sinster past and inner demons to confront, a huntsmen/huntress who is conflicted whether to do the right thing by themselves or the right thing by others...or even a sinister villain looking to sieze control of an establishment. Either way im excited to see what you can come up with.

Semblance: Extension
Any user of Aura can use it as a thin, protective shield to keep their bodies from harm. Sable takes that concept many steps further with her semblance. She can extend the reach of her armored Aura further than most. When she does, it takes on a dark appearance almost like tinted glass. These extensions echo her own movements, extending her reach. Usually, she uses it for a mere moment, extending the range of a punch or kick by using the Aura extension. But she's also able to maintain it for quite some time, as the technique is naturally very efficient. Combined with her martial arts, she has been able to pull feats no other martial artist could hope to match. Like suplexing an Ursa, which would be impossible normally due to the size difference. She's also able to use it to achieve higher speed and leaping height by extending Aura from her legs like pistons.

Weakness: Despite looking like shadowy armor, Sable's semblance doesn't make her any more durable than one would expect. Her Aura still protects her, but no more than a normal Aura shield would. As such, her extended body just makes her a bigger target. Also, she doesn't have a ranged weapon, instead relying on her speed and reach to deal with long-range targets.

About: (Thier background, goals)

Personality: Sable borrows quite a bit from her canine side, and can easily be summed up as being a big, lovable puppy. Normally, she keeps to herself and doesn't bother people, but she's quite friendly when approached by others, always willing to led a hand should it be needed. Her trusting nature may get her into trouble though, as she's always willing to give a friend the benefit of the doubt due to her unwavering loyalty. The other side of that coin shows a fierce protector, willing to stand and fight for the sake of her friends. She doesn't much like to show that part of herself, as she doesn't want to seem like a vicious beast. Anti-faunus sentiment has left her ashamed of her bestial features, and she's often seen wearing a beret and long skirt in public in order to cover up her ears and tail. ("Wait! Faunus are only supposed to have one animal feature!" You say? Well it's hard to find play-bys like that. We'll just say she's part of an 'extra feral' sub-genus of faunus.) If she ever winds up in a relationship, her lover will find herself besieged on all sides by a totally cuddle-obsessed lapdog. She's a rather ashamed of it, but she's submissive by nature, and would secretly love to be a more dominant woman's pet lover.

Background: Sable is something of a 'purebred' among faunus-kind. Her family for generations has only been canine faunus, in an attempt to maximize the power of their faunus features. Sable is the third of four children, all girls, and is considered the runt. Despite that, she was raised to take advantage of her (relatively) short stature and be a scrappy, fierce fighter. Her older sisters went the military route, but Sable didn't like the idea of fighting other people. She instead wanted to become a huntress; because destroying soulless murder-beasts is morally a-okay.

(Additional background pending if any other player wants to have some backstory with me. Like a Ruby and Yang, or Nora and Ren sort of deal.)

Weapon and details: Azure wields a blade called the Blade of Darkness which is a special blade which has been handed down from generations of Fertars though Azure recently made the handle blue with white strips. Azure sword can turn into an shotgun for when he in close range battle. He carries a magazine of about 18 bullets though when fired this weapon will take 4 bullets.
Sembalance: Speed
About:
Azure can use his Semblance to move at speeds that are nearly too fast for the eye to catch, making it appear as if he can teleport and he enjoys using his ability in combat to dodge attacks, disorient enemies, hastily retreat and quickly counterattack.
He is also fast enough to create slipstreams where he can drag people and objects with him though he tend to struggle on the heavier objects or anything that's rooted into the ground.
Weakness: Azure tends to struggle at long range combat and sometimes will overexerts his Semblance when using his powers.

Weapon and details: Wields duels scythes though one os shorter then the other as one of them is a sniper rifle and the other is a normal Rifle for close range

About:
Cerise has the ability to move or control objects. She has a high degree of control over her Semblance and is capable of using it in combat both defensively, by stopping projectiles, and offensively, by manipulating objects and using them to attack.
Her Semblance also appears to be able to re-assemble and repair broken objects
Weakness: Unlike her brother, Cerise excels at long range combat preferring to keep her opponents at a distance so she can plan. Because of this, she not that good at close range combat and tends to struggle against those that can ether tank her shot or someone well trained in close range.

Attire and Appearance: Shiroyuki
Weapon and details: Snow fox: a set of three scarves that wrap around her neck and arms. These were sewn with mixtures of dust that could be easily manipulated by someone with enough training. The cloth on her arms can be hardened and sharpened, acting as both blades and shields. The one on her neck, however trails off into eight ends that resemble tails. Each were capable of channeling dust of different properties for special situations.

Keira had been born from the northernmost region of Atlas. Her Faunus family had all adapted somewhat to the cold temperatures. White hair and fur became synonymous with the name Sayomi. While she had many cousins, she was the only child her mother and father had produced before their home was attacked by a large Grimm. Her father died that day. She was lucky to only have been a baby at the time. She didn't know much other than what her mother had told her as she was growing up. Her life had been filled with stories and fairy tails. They had been the base of what she had become. Life had been calm up until it came time for her to begin attending a huntress academy. There had been one tale she loved to listen to. It was more of a family legend. It spoke of foxes with nine tails, and the power they were capable of. This story became the base for her main scarf. The eight trailing ends were designed like her own tail. She had the strength of those legends now. At least, in her mind she did.

In terms of personality, Shiroyuki is pretty average for a girl her age. Kind, caring, and overal pretty fun to be around. It's past that she gets strange. Growing up on those fairy tales has left the thought in her mind of her life becoming one. She goes out of her way to acheive this. This could be from something as trying to set up two friends on a date, to literally jumping into a battle she has no business being in.
Weakness: Without her scarves, she's pretty weak physically. In pure hand-to-hand combat, she's easily defeated. Secondary weakness: Summer. Ever try to wear thick clothing and scarves in July?

Ok your characters are very well fleshed out and I like the whole siblings with age gap thing. The only issue is the first names. They need to be a colour, a translation of a colour or envoke a colour; e.g. Glynda means 'fair/good' which brings to mind pale whitey/yellow colours. Cyril Ian sounds like Cerulean. Or Rubys are obviously red so...yeah.

Side from that I have no issues with the characters, 'Sashias' weakness could be she is at a disadvantage at close range combat making her and her brother the perfect counter balance

I like the idea of the puppets! And you've got a good basis, the name though just needs a colour meaning, I checked and wasnt able to find one for Yumaki. So name change, about and a sembalance and your all set! (Sembalance is almost like a superpower, a unique gift the indiviual has)
Also @OneNightNinja a weapon refferance or hint would help finish off your profile.

Weapon and details: Kalo has a machete of decent length, which he carries in a holster. Secondary mode can be activated by pressing a button on the hilt, which causes it to shift form, changing shape and becoming an assault rifle with a limited clip. While in gun mode he can use it for melee due to the blade on the underside, but it will be much less effective than if he were using it as a regular sword.
Sembalance: Mimicry - Given the opportunity to observe someone, he can copy them. That is to say, he can take on a skill level in that activity approximately equal to their own skill level, without the experience necessary of actually doing it. This can include things from driving to combat, but he can not do it for multiple things at once without putting significant strain upon himself.
About: Kalo never expected to end up in a life like this. He grew up with only his mother to take care of him, the middle of three siblings. With her having to work to take care of the family, as well as his siblings busy with their own business, it should perhaps come as no surprise that he fell in with the wrong sort of crowd. Initially it was nothing minor, but eventually it grew until he was a member of a street gang. His siblings tried to help, but ultimately it came to naught.

Not that he could last in a street gang for ever of course. It was only a matter of time until he came to the attention of a larger organization, after he had dropped out of school. Now he works on the ground floor as a delivery driver, dropping off goods and providing a bit of extra muscle or transportation when needed.

In terms of personality he isn't overly brutal, and somewhat content to merely do as he's told. He doesn't ask a lot of questions, and very much wants to be included in he group. Doesn't enjoy violent crime, but so long as it isn't lethal he can take part. Likes his family and friends, enjoys sea salt taffy, doesn't put much faith in education
Weakness: Doesn't really have an answer to heavy attacks that can't be stopped via speed. Also his stamina isn't that great, at least as far as Huntsmen are concerned

Name: Alvern Peridot
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Flirtatious but no clear signs
Race: human
Occupation: Huntsman
Attire and Appearance: Looks very androgenous, he also has a silver studded belt with a trail of white feathers on his right hip down to his knee and a silver chain wrapped around his left leg.
Weapon and details: Form One = a metal fan with small strips of wind dust imbedded. Form Two = the fan folds down and produces two parallel blades with the same type of dust imbedded.
Sembalance: Aftermath: When Alvern strikes, his path of attack remains in the same spot with the same force for a brief time, he can somewhat adjust its course too.
About: Alvern is known to come from a prestigious family who are rumoured to have a part in the civil war. He emits a calm and collected demeanour with experience that could be of great use to students. He has an interesting way of veiwing the world which brings into question his allegiances.

As a child he was kidnapped by a rouge huntsman who held him to ransom...even though it was paid he still carries the physical and psycological scars to this day. He has recently been seen hanging around the academy but not nesscesarily doing harm.
Weakness: The memories of the past and his resolve can conflict causing juxtaposed outbursts of rage and even causing him to turn on anyone nearby

Name: Viridi Lionheart

Age: 19
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight/Bisexual (Bi-curious. If a girl manages to woo her she may fall for her.)
Race: Human
Occupation: Student Huntress

Attire and Appearance: Slightly tiny younger version of this and this with the symbol of a Lion on the back of the jacket as well as a lion face on her belt buckle. (Slightly nsfw body references.)

Weapon and details: A pair of silver gauntlets with a mechanism hidden inside that transforms them slightly to sport a set of claws for more piercing damage. It also possesses a second function hat act as small rapid-fire weapons similar to a SMG although with a small clip.

Sembalance: Absorption.
Viridi's semblance allows her not only to protect herself with her Aura, but also to absorbs the material and elemental properties of whatever she is touching for a temporary set of time, allowing her to change her physical and sometimes internal (depending of what was absorbed) properties of her body. A big example of this allowing her to mimic the properties of hard materials like steel or stone on her skin, protecting her from certain hits as well as her own fists packing a huge punch. She can also absorb dust for a shorter period of time in exchange for gaining its elemental property into her aura.

Weakness: While her material absorption can protect her from a lot of harm. The amount of defense she gains is proportional to the material absorbed, meaning that she is only as durable in that state at whatever she touched. This also comes at the expense of not having a good defense against elemental attacks. Also, while she is capable of absorb the magical properties of dust rather than the physical ones, she can only hold them for less time than her usual absorption and is way more exhausting for her body to maintain.

Overuse of either of her Semblance powers can cause sever exhaustion and even physical harm to her body.

About:
Personality: Despite her strength and heigh, she is actually a bit shy or easy to frighten when meeting new people. Due to being from a more smaller town, she is slightly intimidated by the size of the bigger and busier cities.

It is when she gets in battle when her attitude switches to a more stubborn and energetic state that really shows up her power, which also shows a lot when she is made angry. With people she has warmed up with, however, she is way more sweet and kind, always willing to lend a hand.

Background: Viridi was born and raised on a small town on Gaia. It was a quiet yet fulfilling childhood, living happily with family and friends, seeing the traders go and come from the city to bring a variety of items. Overall, a pretty good life.

However, while still young, the town was ravished by a sudden Grimm attack. Nobody to this day knows for sure why they arrived. The town itself was not filled with enough doubt and sorrow to really attract the creatures, but many theorize it was simply collateral damage of their path towards another event. Despite whatever was the cause, the Grimm destroyed the town, and the few local hunters they had were either injured or killed in the assault.

The evacuation of the town was a memory still vivid in Viridi's memory. As she certainly remembers her younger self tripping as she escaped, only to come face to face with an enormous Grimm, ready to rip her in half. From that day forward, she has developed a small fear of the creatures, although she had made great progress towards overcoming it. According to her parents, it was in that moment when an early manifestation of her Semblance was seen, which was the key that saved her life in that moment.

Despite her doubts, the later-reformed town came to the verdict of sending Viridi to a school to become a Huntress due to her talents being a sign of greatness in her.

Name: Reed Akai
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual (Mostly focused on women. A bit embarrassed of the new feelings but can quickly get into it if it's someone he likes or manages to woo him despite of gender.)
Race: Cat Faunus
Occupation: Stunder Hunter

Attire and Appearance: Reference for looks; Reference of his uniform.

Weapon and details: A light sword (See first outfit picture) of decent length for close combat. The edge of the blade can be coated with a series of dust oils to grant him elemental powers for a short period of time. When the trigger in the hilt is pressed, however, it curves and generates a line of energy, fully transforming into a Bow he can use to shoot dust-powered energy arrows.

Sembalance: Mimicry
By coming into contact with another person's Aura, Reed is capable of copying the person's Semblance by taking some of that energy into himself. The more aura he absorbs the more time he has to use said Semblance, as only with a fraction its time is limited before it disappears. also, taking too much is not only harmful for him, both physically and psychologically, as he may lose himself with so much power, but also harmful for the one he is taking the Aura form.

Weakness: While he is able to handle both close and range combat, he is a master of none, meaning the quick switch between both can easily put him in the spot, specially since his weapon's transformations are not as fast as other regular weaponry. Also his speed and acrobatic prowess comes with the disadvantage of not being very resistant to hits.

About:
Personality: At first glance, Reed comes as a very easy-going fellow, laidback sometimes even a bit of a joker. Also, he tends to be very clumsy or sometimes seem like he has very bad luck. However, he can be very reliable when needed and willing to put himself over others, even if it may be risky for him.

Background: Reed was a mere baby when her Faunus mother was fleeing due to the strong anti-Faunus movement at the time. Extremists on the constant hunt for them trying to, in their own twisted words, "Make Remnant a better place". Wounded from a previous attack to her village, she somehow ended up in the city with baby Reed in her arms, stumbling and almost losing consciousness.

It was then when she was taken to a small apartment by a kind human man who, after she woke up and explained her story, let the faunus woman and her infant son stay with him. Time passed, and despite the frowned view of it, the two eventually fell in love. The man even rising Reed as if it was his own son.

Happiness did not last forever tho, as after falling into a deep illness, Reed's mother eventually passed away, leaving the man to rise the young cat boy alone. The struggling economy was not kind either, but the two pulled through as much as they could.

Hmmmm....well the say semblances reflect a characters personality or battle style, and since he seems a jack of all trades...Semblance mimicry? Do like an Xmen rouge thing where so long as he touching someone he can use thiers but it can damage both auras so its no op?

Hm, I like it! It also fits with the Bakeneko/Nekomata inspiration because according to their tales, they have the ability to replicate human voice and shape shift. So Semblance mimicry COULD be a unique way to represent that! Thank you!!
