Alice sighed as she waited outside of the attorney's office waiting to be called in to settle up the loose ends of her uncle's passing. She never liked him much as he was never there for her or any other member of the family. They had hit a bit of bad luck in the past few years with her own parents being killed in an accident shortly after she graduated from high school. She had hoped her uncle would have taken her in as they were the only family left in the immediate area but no such luck he only showed for the funeral and disappeared before she could ask him about it. she got on with her life mostly using her school work to drown out her misery and sorrows wanting to be able to take care of herself as her inheritance would dry up shortly once she got out of college. She was asked to identify him as like his brother and her mother been killed in a car accident. It was hard seeing her last family that she knew of go but she wasn't sad. The two had grown apart in the years following her parents death as he never returned her calls, even when she showed up to his house she was turned away in a matter of minutes not even stepping foot inside. The preparations were short as she didn't know enough people to hold a full wake and decided to skip the wake and service and have him buried in a few days. A few people showed up but oddly enough was his lawyer who told Alice to come by his office tomorrow as there was a few matters to take care of.

She sighed as she waited in the lobby curious what could be important as she doubted that she had been left anything given their relation before passing. To her surprise she was left everything including the house an all of his possession and funds. The next week was spent packing up her old place and moving into her new house which was cleaner then she expected and needed little in the way of repairs. She had a few days left before she need to get to work and decided to use them to fully explore the house wanting to know every inch of it.
