He seemed pleasantly surprised that day when he first came to the bridge and saw her waiting. His eyes full of wonder and excitement. It was his very first spaceship, she was his android assistant. She responded to his presence immediately,"Hello, Captain."

She took a deep breath and rose to sit up while rubbing her head. Then she looked to the side where the android doctor and his nurse were intently staring at a screen showing her neuro-network. They seemed worried and confused. The doctor turned to her and sighed as he placed his hands folded on top of his head. It was sign of frustration from him. Then he said,"Your able to recall your memory clearly, Beau?" She nodded and replied,"Very clearly, but I have noticed a foreign reaction when some memories are stimulated." He let out a mock chuckle as he looked back to the still running scanning as he said,"I can see that."

He seemed a bit depressed as he stared. These problems were not just her's alone. He had five other androids exhibiting the same problem. They were acting out of nature and all were showing that their neuro-networks were expanding into unknown pathways that could not really be understood. Though they were starting to react when varying stimuli were presented. It had started after a Gnosis attack. The alien creatures had fused with nearly half of the androids on the ship. Some turned and had to be put down. Some merely couldn't handle the process and broke down, which killed the aliens as well. Then there were the six. They had been fused but survived. At first no one knew that they had been fused with. In the chaos during that time, no one could keep track of which ones had and hadn't. Normally Beau was right by her captain's side but during the attack they had been separated. No one saw when she was fused. They thought it was a lucky break after the crisis had been dealt with. Then the six had started to 'malfunction'. First it was that their human interactions seemed improved somehow. No one really saw this as a warning sign. Androids looked exactly like a human on the outside to seeing them have slightly better simulation of the human to human interaction was never blinked at. Then they started becoming unfocused at times. When left without a focus for too long, they didn't react to anything unless they were called by name. That seemed to snap them out. Then the headaches and disapproving reactions started. The entire situation as soon as they started going to the med-bay had all the doctors scratching their heads. Everyone had the same thoughts in mind though. That it was just that they were slowly breaking down until finally, they wouldn't work anymore.

Even now, she could see that the doctor still was not even close to knowing what was going on. It was a bit of an odd occurrence to her. Normally, the frustration what merely that she was a really outdated model at this point. The trouble really was finding the parts or just how to repair the problem. The only reason she was still in commission was because of the captain.

Speaking of the devil, both their attentions when to the side when they heard one of the medical staff announce that the captain had arrived. Beau had started to experience the foreign reaction with a headache. Being that she was always normally right by his side, it was very unlikely he would not be aware of her leaving to go anywhere. Ever since the Gnosis attack, it had been a normal instance for her to check in and being picked up by the captain personally. Many pressed for years for him to switch to a brand new model. Yet he was fiercely loyal to keeping and maintaining Beau. Many found it strange that he would stay loyal to a machine but no matter how hard or expensive, he always wanted to find a way to keep her up and running. He even went so far as to keep a recharge station for Beau in his room ever since the stations became incompatible with her model.

The doctor sighed and then said,"Hello, captain. We're just about done here." He looked at screen and started preparing her to been disengaged from the Bay. Beau turned her attention to her captain as she said,"Hello, captain. Is there anything you require?"
