Do you ever go to the movies and watch the trailers and see some films that just really get you pumped? Do you ever spend hours on Youtube looking through trailers?
Post them here! Any upcoming films that you're excited about, post the titles and talk about them here. Note: if you're going to post trailers please just link them, do not post them with the video tags. They fill up the thread and are really hard to load for some people.
Here are some of mine:
Split (1/20/2017)
trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84TouqfIsiI
Another upcoming film by M. Night Shyamalan, seemingly making a comeback after the well received The Visit. Saw that one and although it didn't really "wow" me, it definitely was so much better than the crap he's been putting out ever since critics and fans got upset about the Village(2004). Which will always sort of make me cautious about any thriller type trailers that I see from him, because The Village, is not a bad movie. It's just not a thriller/creature feature horror like it was advertised. And that's my only worry about this upcoming movie, Split, starring James McAvoy as the lead, Kevin, with apparently 23 split personalities. Sure, with the screechy music and adrenaline pumping escalation, we're led to believe it's a thriller and it looks pretty straightforward but this guy has burned and failed to deliver before(Devil, the Happening, etc.).
I'm excited. I loved the Sixth Sense and Signs era of films and even the Village is one of my favorite movies. So, fingers crossed that Shyamalan steps up to the plate and at least gets back into the game, if not hitting a home run.
A Monster Calls (10/21/2016)
trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2Xbo-irtBA
Based on the novel by the same name A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. I haven't read the book but I've seen the artwork for it around the web and it is a compelling and beautiful looking story. Definitely looks like the film will pay an awesome tribute to it, bringing it to life on the big screen.
Before I Wake (9/9/2016)
trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMJyQPshlY8
Looks like a really stellar concept and the effects from the trailer look phenomenally spooky. Scary movies in recent years have failed to deliver for me, just not scary or ultimately disappointing, so, I'm cautiously hopeful. But hoo boy! I cannot wait! I just saw Room with Tremblay playing the son and he did really well, very believable, so, that's an added comfort for this upcoming horror film.
Alright! Those are pretty much the only ones I've seen recently that got me excited! Share yours! Please, remember, when sharing trailers, L I N K S O N L Y.
