A small squad of twelve paratroopers sit in an airplane, the turbulence causing the plane to jump and rapidly shake, there is only a small amount of words exchanged between the troops as they near their drop point, a small burnt up farm just south of Stalingrad, where a battle between the USSR and the Nazi powers plus allies has been raging. A red light fills the plane, the troopers stand and walk to the door of the plane, the front trooper, obviously the leader opens the door.

On their shoulders, illuminated by the red light, sits an Airborne patch, a screaming eagle underneath, and the flag of the United States. The red light turns to green, and the troops move forward, each jumping out of the plane only to be caught by the parachute erupting from their backpacks.

Jason Miller is his name, it says so on the two metal dog tags hanging from his neck. His breath hitches as his parachute opens, sending his body into a little pain as straps at his groin and chest pull against the forces of gravity. On his chest hangs a duffelbag, inside contains his Springfield rifle, complete with a scope on top, a whole lot of ammo, and some basic things he would need at first to survive in Russia.

He is apart of a special task force, designated under secrecy to land in Stalingrad and help the Red's fight off the Germans, his squad would be the only help as of now.

His boots hit the ground, he moves quickly to pull off his parachute pack and replace it with the duffelbag that had been hanging from his torso. He then grabs the rifle from his bag, decreasing the weight of it substantially. He looks around, causing the helmet on top of his head to swivel a little. He adjusts it with the strap hanging around his neck, making sure it wouldn't fall off if impacted by a bullet.. Though he isn't sure it would do much against an incoming bullet.

He begins walking towards the rally point he and his team had established earlier, they all make it there in time, all but two men, which is good considering if two are lost they are most likely together.. But also bad because they're lost. The squad minus two, waits around for about half an hour before deciding it would be best to look for them. They split off into two teams of five, all looking around for the dead soldiers and keeping contact through the few troopers that happen to carry radio equipment. It's radioed in that the two troopers are dead.. The squad moves on.

It takes a half hour of walking and boredom to reach the city of Stalingrad, they walk into a plaza, where it would appear a battle has recently taken place, many dead German and Russian soldiers lay in the plaza. Jason gets up into a building covering his squad as they cautiously walk into the plaza, most of them hiding behind cover. They bound across the plaza in buddy teams, one team covering while the other moves, just in case they are shot at.

Jason keeps his eyes on the surrounding buildings, using his scope to trace windows and openings for any sneaky Germans using their own Kar 98k sniper rifle.
