Even after a night of intensity, Lazarus needed to resume business, and located within the four walls of corporate hell, he needed to regain his thoughts. Secretaries needed to be fired because they weren't doing their jobs, and other business owners were looking to him to get deals done here and there. There were things that needed to be done, including a blockbuster deal between him and the man whose business was number one in the entire city -- Vladimir Volkov. That was basically his most pressing concern, to see what this deal would be about, and to adjust his business and stocks accordingly. By the same token, he simply just couldn't get his mind off of one particular woman, and one unforgettable night. So the battle between Kat and Volkov in terms of who to keep his thoughts on seemed to be the most pressing issue for him. Laz didn't fear the man, but he had the slightest respect for him, if only for the reason that he was able to have so much to his name, it wasn't even funny. He controlled so many things in the city, being the prime monopolistic force of the city. And Kat – well, she was just a damned sexpot, always willing to do whatever he wanted. The prime decision would be to forget about Volkov and keep his focus on Kat, when he'd see her again, and everything of the like. Unfortunately for him, he was too good a corporate man to just do that with ease.

The man was too busy to be concerned on who it was over the phone, wanting entry into his office. And the idea to call Volkov himself and schedule a meeting between the two of them to get this deal done seemed like the fairly practical answer for the night. Considering that he still needed to get his mind off of Kat for a moment until he was done here, as well as the fact that he was gonna be here for quite a good while. All the paperwork that needed to be done, thanks to his late night excursions in the past few weeks. He had ditched meetings just to go to his own club, as well as his meeting with Kat in the very same place. Great, there he went again, letting his mind get the best of him and letting her come into form once again. Course, nothing would better than a nice and long fuck with the two of them, fantasies running wild several times over. Perhaps that would happen sooner than he thought, but in the meantime, his focus attempted to be elsewhere, in hopeless vain, unfortunately.

In his office, looking at several papers here and there, wanting to find every loophole of this proposed contract between him and Volkov. Part of him shouldn't have, because he was such a massive entity that you couldn't overthrow if he decided that you were expendable. Another part of him knew that a possible alliance with the biggest man in the company would increase his profits tenfold. And more money meant more power in a city such as this one. Nonetheless, as he brushed down his black and red blazer, sitting comfortable at his desk, not looking to receive many calls, just looking to get business done. A Cuban cigar in his hand, blowing peppermint smoke – god, he really didn't want to deal with business today.

“Mr. Rhodes? Someone's here to see you.” His mind went blank for a moment, trying recount if he knew someone by that name. After several lapses of knowledge, he picked up the phone, a musing query. “Who?” Well, not as musing, as you would think. “She didn't specify her name, sir.” Now, it probably wouldn't be the best thing for him to send someone in that hadn't really been authorized in his head enough. He honestly had no idea who this person was, but as history tended to show, when you were dealing with business, you had to expect deals made to you from people you had never even heard from. That was just the same of the game, and with a soft sigh, he nodded. “Whatever, send her in.” He shrugged his shoulders, before easily hanging up on her, blowing another stream of smoke from his lips into the air. The place was starting to look the slightest bit hazy, but he didn't care. Whoever this woman was would just have to accept the fact that he was a recreational smoker, here and there, liking some sophistication in his livelihood. Course, there was always the prospect of her being an assassin, and killing off one of the few worthy humans in the entire city. Bah, he doubted that anyone would be that stupid to come into his office looking for trouble.
